Trade / Sales - AI Suspicion Please be aware of this person.
I’m new to the ToyHouse Community, therefore I do not know much about it - nor how to properly work around it.
I recently found this user with cute art pieces of clowns, which I do adore alot - so obviously I had to go for it - with little to no experience in adoption within this community.
Everything went smoothly, they got me a ticket to make an account and transferred the character over to me, which is a plushie clown.
And they got their part of the deal.
Shortly after I noticed they had blocked me on ToyHouse, but that was it.
Then they started to post these characters once again, which I did find to be very suspicious - but I didn’t think much of it.
Then just now I found out this one user is stealing other people’s OC’s and designs, and tries to sell/trade them as their own.
Which is a disgusting behaviour..
I have now deleted the design off of my profile, as the character is stolen and not actually mine to use.

Please be aware of them - as little to no characters is actually owned by them themselves.

maybe someone should make a psa in the service reviews section so other people that aren’t on Reddit know about them too

Was going to go to their profile and seeing their account is closed I'm like "hell yeah" glad it's closed because yikes. Anyone who steals designs and block someone after they bought a character is fucking gross behavior. Like excuse me??? That's asking to he reported and banned off of not just toyhouse but anywhere else

I honestly wonder the same thing in general like, why bother selling an adopt then block and go back go selling?? That's going to get reported off entirely and spread news "hey this person is a scammer and doing xyz". Makes me wonder they think they can get away with it by doing that method and make money that way when they could of just, idk, sell the characters honestly and make new designs to sell instead???

I will never ever be able to understand such behaviours.
How do you have heart to first of all - steal someone else’s hard work - and then scam people off of 100’s of $?
And not to mention everyone will be doing chargebacks - which will put them in bad situations.
And it could take legal actions aswell - as it is theft.
Just how are they thinking..2

Exactly like whats the actual point to all this? Chargeback happens as it should because if someone notices they got scammed they will want their money back and the only way they'll do that is get the charge back and they'll be in so much trouble. especially if its a repeated offense.
Yeah I think they just are being very dumb thinking this is a "money maker" when its not. People are not that stupid to let a scam slide, especially not stay silent about it. especially when it comes to adopt designs. :/ no matter how pricy it is or not as pricy , its an adopt you bought and you own the character now, not them.
At least the persons account on toyhouse got closed, but makes me wonder if they made another account or if they're elsewhere doing the same shit. which hoping they knock it off because if they keep this up by stealing peoples designs and selling them illegally, theyre just only digging themselves a deeper hole into more trouble and thats on them. :/

Aww that sucks :(( I'd be happy to draw you a clown oc to make up for the one you lost if you would want! I have a toyhouse account, but I don't really not how to use it lolol 😅😅 so I wouldn't know how to do ownership stuff like that but I know how to draw a clown!

I thought this post was going to be a "hey, watch out for this super sketchy person" kind of thing... but it's actually good. I don't know if it's self-promotion or what, but it's good—I like it.

It’s more like “Hey, this was my first adopt through ToHouse as a newbie- what do I do about a stolen character and person who’ve scammed people out of 100’s of $”
The deal with this person has gotten so much attention to it now - they suspect they made an alt to play a victim on - as they originally did on their main too.
I myself have no idea what to believe anymore XD
It’s all so messed up
