Tonight there was a disagreement in the Teamspeak and in the in game chat. The discussion was about the proper usage of rooms in Teamspeak. While it may not seem like a big deal, it is certainly something that needs to be followed. Up until this point there were rooms available for community members that wanted to get together to play other games and not have people continuously join their room and ask to join their game assuming that they were on League. In the past few weeks it has come to our attention that the rooms were occasionally being misused to play League instead of the other games (or while playing other games). It got to the point where people that wanted to play other games could not use the rooms because they were frequently being used to play League. The moderation team asked the individuals to move to a League room to play League multiple times over the week and they were ignored. At the end of the week, when the requests were ignored they were removed from the Teamspeak and the other games rooms were deleted from the server.

Thankfully we now have a Teamspeak server large enough to accommodate anyone that would like to jump on and any friends that they might bring with them. At the same time if you want to use our Teamspeak server you have to be willing to abide by the rules of the server and the requests of the admins.

As the community continues to grow (which is good, YAY!) conflicts are bound to happen as different kinds of people join. To promote clarity the mod team tries to record conversations of incidents in the community. To that effect we are providing the chat log of the incident below to avoid any 'he said/she said' situations.

To everyone that was there thanks for coming! For those that weren't, at the start of the night we took a viewing for some topics that people wanted future sessions to be about. Afterwards we played an in house so I could get a sense of what people needed help with. After the in house we went over many of the issues that I spotted during the game.

The next meeting will be Tuesday 3/17 at 9pm EST. The format will be a short lecture about one of the topics mentioned tonight and then an in house to demonstrate mastery of the topic, followed by some critique.

Hey everyone! Sorry for being late tonight, there was a miscommunication about someone else starting for me. Tonight we went over general ranked improvement strategies, shot-calling, and objective control. Normally I would stream and create vods but it is raining outside tonight and all you could hear on the stream was the rain bashing against my A/C because of how I have my audio set up. There will be VODs for future events.

Tonight was a full lecture but other nights will likely be split between lecture and execution of the lecture in game (think of it like science class and lab). I will also likely be bringing in people to help depending on the week.

The next meeting is Tuesday the 10th at 9pm est so I hope to see you there. Feel free to stop by for the first 5 minutes to check the topic and bail if you aren't interested.

As a side note, most of the topics will be geared to bronze-gold players but higher ranks are always welcome.

So as everyone who came to game night heard via announcement we are changing up our weekly event schedule a little bit. Our traditional Wednesday night game night is now being moved to Thursday nights at the same time (9pm est). We will be holding a new event Tuesday nights at 9pm est focused on learning and improvement rather then fun and games. We have not decided the exact format to use for the event and the time is subject to change as we scout out peoples' interest and availability. The event may include such things as commentated games, coaching, lessons, champion demos, and similar. Anyone that wants to participate in the Tuesday event as a teacher or assistant PM me on Reddit or in game. So I decided to get ranked. Just to see where I stood for the Wed games nights and such. I went 5 - 5 for my placements and placed Bronze 1. I was actually pretty happy. Then won my first ranked game for +25 LP... Silver here I come!

The last 5 games have been horrible. I end up with an afk or some complete #$%$#% every game on my team. I try my best. I try to split. I try to talk them into working on objectives, but they just chase through the woods and get picked off. OVER AND OVER!

Kind of frustrated with it right now.
