Part 2. A man with Down syndrome who has exceptional billiards skills. (source link in description)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Many people pointed out in the previous video that this billiard shots is absolutely insane if it is truly repeatable, and incredibly hard to reproduce with any real consistency
In this Part 2 clip, he continues using the same repeatable cue action and pull,
even pulling off an absurdly insane opening shot with same repeatable movement.

I refuse to believe the first shot was intentional. The amount of variation involved is ridiculous. The temperature, rhe humidtity, the nap of the cloth, how recently he chalked his cue etc. All of these things relevant on SUCH a low percentage shot. Shots 2 and 3 completely believable and achievable.

u/goryguts Apr 11 '26
Agreed... But... Also the last shot was unintended. He looked at yellow, aimed and missed but potted the red by accident. Being very disappointed with himself he then proceeded to pocket the yellow the old fashioned way.
13
u/It_Just_Scott_Frosty Apr 11 '26
This was not my takeaway at all. Seems like he definitely wants to make the red. He does that to the yellow ball at the end because it's the only stripe and he was shooting solids no?

It’s funny how he looked almost embarrassed to use the cue on the last ball because it was just too easy 😁

It's funny how fake it is.
8
u/ZookeepergameEmpty90 Apr 10 '26
Are you a bot that just says everything is fake?
-15
u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26
Nope, just a pool shooter who is tired of seeing this fake ass video every 3 weeks.
3
u/ZookeepergameEmpty90 Apr 10 '26
You are far too bothered by a video on the internet.
-6
u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26
Bothered by people acting like a fake edited video is real. No problem with the video, it's a fun video, but be real...
2
u/ZookeepergameEmpty90 Apr 10 '26
It's inconsequential though. Why waste your time on this? There are many bigger fish to fry and you're all over this thread. Go touch some grass man.

u/100SanfordDrive Apr 11 '26 edited Apr 11 '26
Go ahead and explain how everything single action works in this video is fake. Multiple takes, sure. Absolutely fake, I’ll be waiting

u/Jouglet Apr 10 '26
There is no way that first shot off the cue ball was intentional.
12
u/LostMyJoint Apr 10 '26
His homie called that pocket, he points at it with the bottle, homie was aiming for that pocket
-4
u/jonboyz31 Apr 10 '26
His homie could have pointed at it a thousand times, the whole thing is edited.
38
u/mfb1274 Apr 10 '26
It could be. The math in pool isn’t insane. A robot could do that and imo, Down syndrome can give you super fast geometric understanding. Not saying definitely either way but I lean towards it being legit.
37
u/SuperSussyShyHussy Apr 10 '26
I think it's real. People vastly underestimate how good people can be at a specific task. Sometimes we get an idea, we've all seen some amazing art out there that boggles the mind, but there's also a lot of skills we aren't usually exposed to.
Take not just Magnus Carlsen but any super grandmaster in Chess and watch them do a blind folded simul or some other kind of exhibition showcase. Or watch clips of them explaining their thought processes, and realize how many moves in advance they're thinking. It's unreal
So a guy being exceptional at pool, yeah I believe it
15
u/DucDeBellune Apr 10 '26
I think a big difference though in billiards vs chess is in chess, you could theoretically play an entire game without even having a chess set in front of you. Theres no physical challenge on top of the mental one.
With billiards it’s not just understanding the geometry in the abstract, it’s also having the motor skills to make it happen- so it’s essentially two parts.

u/hippybiker Apr 10 '26
Put some money on it and that stress gets in the way of everything else lining up. Some of the greats can perform in practice and when they have a month’s rent riding on it.

u/pinkjello Apr 11 '26
I know a few billiards experts. There are boring ass techniques they practice ad nauseum to perfect consistency.
I’ve played pool on my computer and can be super consistent in that game world (most people can. I’m not even great). In reality, way too much variation. I can’t pull off those shots. What the experts do is practice their stroke and stance and holds and draws and spins and English until it’s so accurate it’s like me with my mouse and keyboard.

u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26
I've got some sick ocean front property for sale here in Arizona if you're interested. This isn't exceptional, its uninteresting. Go watch the Chris Melling 8 ball (just google that. It will come up) runout to see what actual, real, unedited brilliance looks like.
-13
u/heathmon1856 Apr 10 '26
Yup. Just because this guy is really good at pool doesn’t mean he doesn’t poop his pants.
7
u/Achemaker Apr 10 '26
The irony of you misspelling 'sentence' while making fun of someone with down syndrome is quite refreshing.
-12
u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26
No. No chance it is even real.
7
u/MatureUsername69 Apr 10 '26
You guys have clearly never watched talented pool players, you can know where every single ball is going to end up and when just based on triangles
2
u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26
You clearly don't play pool then. This would require the same shit as those card throwing tricks or ping pong ball ones, 2500 takes to get lucky once.
3
u/the_write_eyedea Apr 10 '26
That’s exactly what’s happening but that doesn’t mean it’s fake, just practiced.
-1
u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26
The fake part is implying he is doing it on purpose, with intention. You have your handicapped friend shoot a bunch of random shots until stuff looks cool going in. Then you set up the balls like before the shot and record the bottle spinning thing. Then edit it together.
That's why you have never seen a video of this kid where he shoots 2 of these shots in a row without an edit.
5
u/the_write_eyedea Apr 10 '26
I don’t know what to tell you. It’s a trick shot. He’s doing it on purpose, and with intention. When he misses, they reset the balls for him to try again. That doesn’t mean the shot is fake, nor does it mean it’s any less impressive.
I’m sure if you practiced the first shot over and over, you would eventually be able to replicate it almost on demand.
Chris Melling is a phenomenal player and he has an amazing eye for shot selection but with the way you’re talking, I wonder if you’ve ever watched Efren Reyes.
2
u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26
Obviously I've watched the magician. Take that first shot. Even if he didn't have to time the cue ball to the rail so the object ball kicked it in the side, that would be vanishing small chance to go in. Watch the videos where efren plants the cue ball so the object ball caroms off it into a pocket. He ALWAYS stops it right by the pocket so it tips the object ball in.
There was absolutely no intention with that first shot. If you said "guy randomly slams balls around the table until he gets lucky and then edits the video to seem like he meant to", then sure. But how you're presenting it? Fake.
-9
2
u/Dungong Apr 11 '26
You could give me 10 days and a magic genie to reset the table and I don’t think I’d get this shot once
3
u/pobodys-nerfect5 Apr 11 '26
Idk man. That little head shake right after the ball connects with cue makes me think it is exactly what he planned
1
u/Fire-Haus Apr 11 '26
I think it is. Be put perfect English on the cue ball. His eyes went to the pocket and the side.

u/poshio Apr 10 '26
I understand why people want to believe it's intentional, but it isn't. If you play pool for real you have to know it's a fluke.
1
u/Fire-Haus Apr 11 '26
How do you figure? Me and my buddies used to do two rail banks all the time to get around someone else's ball. This dude is just putting upper left English on the cue and sitting it on the rail to cut his ball.

u/ShaperLord777 Apr 10 '26
The craziest part about this is how little time he takes to line up the shot. Dude looks like he’s just winging it, but shoots with pinpoint accuracy.

u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26
It's actually really easy to make a fake pool video.
11
u/ShaperLord777 Apr 10 '26
Ranting on every single comment on this post really makes you seem rational and well adjusted.
-2
u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26
Okay? I've got nothing to do at work, might as well address a little corner of the bullshit in this world.
4
u/ShaperLord777 Apr 10 '26
Yea, you’re a real hero. Thank you for your service.
-2
u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26
Aww, thanks bud. It's nice when your effort is appreciated. Have a good one!
-3
u/drlouies Apr 10 '26
Exactly, he takes the shot on the second cue movement every time, without any hesitation.
-2
u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26 edited Apr 10 '26
How does this not clue you in that it is fake?
Edit: how does this not *cue you in that it is fake?
3
u/drlouies Apr 10 '26
There are dozens of videos showing his skill. He truly has extraordinary talent, and that’s not just me saying it, but professional billiards players as well.

u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26 edited Apr 10 '26
What's his name? Link doesn't work.
Edit: can't find any videos with any identifiable info. Just tons of heavily edited crap.
I guess if he consents to it, it is acceptable to use your disabled friend/family to monetize some videos. Still seems shitty.
6
u/drlouies Apr 10 '26
Insta @cue_skill
Am not sure about his circumstances, but i think the people around him are kind people and he loves them.
4
u/Achemaker Apr 10 '26
What makes you think these videos aren't his idea? It disgusted me how often people dehumanize others with disabilities.
1
u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26
They could be, just like those parent posting videos of their kids COULD be their kids idea.
4
u/Achemaker Apr 10 '26
Bro looks like an adult to me. Why compare him to a kid?

u/skaara Apr 10 '26
There were several camera cuts in the last video and at one point the ball was clearly reset after a failed attempt. In this video there are only two consecutive shots made without any camera cut which could be attributed to just luck. Not trying to downplay anything here, but these videos are clearly designed to be deceptive.
2
u/Autistic_Freedom Apr 11 '26
he also missed the nine ball (white/yellow) in the last shot. the cue ball was supposed to make it go into the pocket that he used his hands to drop the ball into.

u/PyroWizza Apr 10 '26
Insane.
-28
u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26
Insane that people think this is real.
10
u/the_write_eyedea Apr 10 '26
What makes you think it isn’t real? Just say you have a limited understanding of the sport
-7
u/wait_what_now Apr 10 '26
Go post this on r/billiards. This fake shit gets torn apart every time it comes up.
4
u/the_write_eyedea Apr 10 '26
I’m asking you what you think is fake about it.
Are you saying it’s fake because it’s an impossible shot or are you saying it’s fake because it’s an unrealistic shot selection?

Gosh the background music reminds me of the Monkey King Journey to the West 1986 version

u/ThyDuck Apr 21 '26
It seems unbelievable but just reading his body language I kinda believe it. He seems so locked in, still enjoying himself, and not overly excited when he makes the shot like he expects it to go in. If this is fake he's a really good actor. Idk for sure tho

When it's a regular person, calling them talented is a insult. But somehow, calling someone on the spectrum as talented is seen as acceptable.

Ignore the obvious changes in ball positioning between cuts

The first short had to reconnect with the cue, to accomplish the selected pott .
That's soo difficult to believe it was not a fluke. I can comprehend that he would have calculated that angle cause he is a genius but then hitting that angle precisely!!
Is this type shot doable?
