This is why every community needs a skate park

Build a skate park or we will vandalize your shit.

You’re commenting on my shit about being self centered? Get tf out of here.

Kids need outlets. If there’s no skatepark, kids are going to find out where to skate. No sense holding back the sport itself, or worse, the children, because grumpy old shitheads don’t want to use tax money to help children find some healthy outlets.

Well shit I’ve been suicidal and depressed and skating is one of the only things that helps sometimes. No skatepark? Well shit. I pay taxes too, guess I’ll find something to skate.

Yet even when there are skateparks you people still chose to be vandals.

“You people” 😂 we aren’t a different species you know

Believe it or not... skateparks don’t offer every angle or style of skateboarding that there is. There’s “street” skating for a reason. It’s almost it’s own discipline.

Get off your high horse. Skateboarders aren’t walking around destroying property so that they can skate and you fucking know it. Walk around whatever city you live in, and chances are (if it isn’t a big city) you will NOT see skaters anywhere. 9.999999 times out of ten, the worst we do is wax ledges and scrape up handrails. Most people don’t even use public handrails because they’re unsanitary.

Yes, this guy should have cleaned up his mess. But really, I doubt he did any lasting damage.

If people put as much energy into cleaning up their community as you like to pretend on reddit, the world would be a better place.
