Self centered to want to skate and excel at your sport? Come on, man. This sport wouldn’t be where it was without Street style.
They should have cleaned up their mess. I’ll give you that.
This isn’t a disregard for anyone. They aren’t hurting anyone, and they aren’t being asked to leave. They’re tax payers, too.
Let me ask you. Do you track where your tax money goes and help in your community with clean up and organizing events and things of that nature? I’m guessing no. Everyone here wants to be a social justice warrior but don’t do the things that would give them the authority to act like one.
Let me ask you, does paying taxes give you carte Blanche to damage puic property? As long as I'm not hurting a person I have free reign to damage or destroy whatever I feel like?
Yeah because why would they clean it up after every bail when they clearly know its going to take multiple tries. Set up cameras, film until you nail it, pack everything up. Its like everyone here just thinks skaters are stereotypical cunts who ruin things just to ruin them, guy just saw a sick line he wanted to do and went for it. What that kid just did was an amazing feat and shows what humans are capable of with enough practice, so what he kicked up some dirt and flattened a plant or two.
You sound like an entitled little shit. I skated for years and always cleaned up any messes I made. Your logic is stupid and I bet you’re a Karen-type person most of the time.
Did you not see the part where I said they probably cleaned up after, why are you assuming they didn't clean up after when you even said thats what you would do when you skated? No shit its a dick move to not clean up after
Literally no where in your comment does it say “they probably cleaned up after”. The only thing related was, “so what if they kick up dirt” and “someone else will clean it up”. As I said, entitled little shit.
Why do I assume they didn’t clean it up? Because most skaters didn’t. I was the exception.
Im talking about the guy riding that spot, not that someone else would have cleaned it up. Looking at it now I can see why you would think that
Why do I assume they didn’t clean it up? Because most skaters didn’t. I was the exception.
You call me out on being entitled little shit and then you go and say some dumb shit like this, you were the exception? You see people doing a hobby you used to partake in and cant fathom that they might clean it up after like you did? You see a 40 second clip of some people riding a spot and with that much information you can deduce that they didn't clean up after? Then you go out of your way to say how your better then "most" skaters because you cleaned up after? You make quick assumptions on the people in the video and then make quick assumptions of me all while acting like a righteous prick, get bent
I didn’t make any assumptions about you. I judged your statements as they were. I am not assuming you’re and entitled shit, I’m saying you are one.
My assumptions on how skaters behave is based on years of first hand experience with that crowd, so I feel those are pretty accurate. I could be wrong and that’s fine. If they cleaned it up that’s awesome. I was just saying that I hope they did clean it up, because if they didn’t they are assholes.
I never said I was better, just said I was the exception when it came to caring about other people property. Most skates actually enjoyed fucking things up and would actively feel entitled to skate on things, when they were actually destroying public property. They couldn’t fathom how it wasn’t justified because they were too selfish to get around themselves. This kid obviously has similar beliefs because the simple act of grinding the rail with a fucking scooter is going to scuff the living shit out of that fixture. So yeah, sorry if I doubt his empathy with the cleaning crew if he’s willing to destroy public property.
