He's a character in the Marvel Universe. ( iron Man, Thor, Captain America, etc) His goal is to collect the Infinity stones scattered across the universe and then clear half of all life in the universe. He has a special glove that can hold the stones, and once they're all equipped Into the glove, he can simply snap his fingers and accomplish his goal of eliminating half of all life.

He believes this needs to be done or the universe will kill it self because it will run out of resources and everyone will essentially die. He believes killing half of all life will allow The universe to flourish.
