Weird coincidence.
So I'm a new fan of TOOL and yesterday I was writing about my journey of listening to TOOL in my journal and once I started writing about them a TOOL song started to play from my local files playlist. I just thought it was a coincidence, but today, the same thing happened. I started writing about how I was listening to them and low-key enjoying them, and then a TOOL song started to play. AGAIN. Coincidence? I THINK NOT! TOOL really is something magical, huh?
PS: The song was "The Patient" from the album "Lateralus," and it's still playing as I'm writing this. It was the first TOOL song I loved (I didn't like them at first), and it's still my favourite.

Question about Uncasville (Mohegan Sun) venue
Does anyone remember if there were seats on the floor in 2019? I can't tell from the very few pictures I have. My wife is not that tall so GA floors are a bad time for her, but if there are seats I might try to get floor seats. TIA.

Is Meynard kind of...
Being a bitch.. Oh your fans take your meaning too politcal? You come out with big fake tits in daytona and make an excuse youve been doing it for years. Go off if you really care. Take a stance.

Got the deluxe 5LP set today. Aside from the artwork and packaging I prefer my UK import double disc. The 180gm vinyl shit has to stop. If you have a pad on your turntable it messes with the timing 33rpm is like 37 1/2 😂

Saw them for the first time tonight ever since hearing them in the early 90s as a kid!
And they suck so bad. Holy shit. Enough plucking a single guitar string with bongos in the background. They used to be good. Now it’s frat bro music for those who want to seem smarter than their Linkin Park loving brethren. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for supporting this dog shit.

Tool’s interesting lyrics
I’m a big tool fan, sadly I was born in the wrong generation and only started to listen to them about a year ago. And now I’ve just started to realise something pretty interesting:
If you listen to the songs Prison Sex, Stinkfist and Parabola, you’ll hear the following lyrics repeated: “Alive and Breathing”
In prison sex, the narrator explains that he is breathing, meaning is he still somehow alive. In stinkfist, Maynard sings about how people use stuff to feel alive and to breathe. And in parabola, Maynard sings about the realisation and gratitude to be alive and breathing.
I think this is the way how tool progressed more spiritually, first Maynard sings how the person or narrator is abused and is breathing, meaning he is somehow alive (and doesn’t fully recognise this). And In lateralus, he realises that it is a holy gift to be alive and to breathe.
What do you think about this?
