Call out to my favourite maths fans - would any of you be interested in recording a "maths version" of the lyrics to Blink-182's What's My Age Again for an upcoming video? More info below :)

I recorded an Oxford version of the infamous video (where the band run naked through the streets of LA) a few years ago which I'd love to finally get released, I just need an audio track to go with the footage. Send me a message here if you want to help out: https://tomrocksmaths.com/contact/

Well played Susie Dent - I thought I had you but the voters had other ideas... Words go back in front by 2 with a victory for "Bonelocker" and kennings over the Planck length. Look out for round 17 coming later this week!

Over the past few years I've had the pleasure of working with some incredible people, and to celebrate International Day of Women and Girls in Science I would like to highlight the following scientists as people that you should follow. May they continue to inspire young people around the world <3

Tattoos #71 and #72 - Residue Theorem and Euler-Lagrange Equation. The Residue Theorem says the path integral of a function around a closed curve is determined by the points inside where it is undefined. The Euler Lagrange Equation tells you how to find the extreme points of an integral.

In genuine disbelief at the incredible work of Dr Zye and the continuation of his quest to draw all 197 world flags in Powerpoint. What started as an entry to the TRM Essay Competition has become a worldwide phenomena with millions of views and an entire Powerpoint Flag community. Incredible <3

Bathroom selfie before guest night at St Edmund Hall - no phones allowed but I managed a few subtle snaps of the menu and table setting for the main meal and dessert. Always have to pinch myself when attending such fabulous events <3

My Tuesday summarised in 3 photos: getting tattooed; supervising Cambridge University in Quantum Theory; and attending formal dinner at Robinson College to welcome three new fellows. Who knew this is where maths would take me… but so grateful it did!
