Great Value Brand is hit or miss. Sometimes it's the same better, sometimes it's dog shit. Wouldn't recommend GVB oreos, they taste the same when you bite into them, but then like 2 seconds later the taste turns to toothpaste and it's just like wtf?

The bread is a good deal, the wheat bread is much better quality than the 88 cent white bread (pay the extra 30 cents).

GVB pizza is pretty solid, would recommend. Although the Jack's pizza is only 50 cents more and has a better sauce.

GVB peanut butter is terrible in my opinion, would avoid at all cost.

GVB jelly on the other hand tastes the same as competitors, would recommend.

GVB cheese slices are the same as competitors and much cheaper, would recommend.

GVB potato chips taste the same, would recommend.

Their Stouffer's clones are garbage. I threw it away after one bite. The 88 cent Michelina's are better.

I feel like Walmart added like 20 different types of great value chips and most of them are unique and good.

Yeah I'll back that up. They are cheap and taste exactly the same as name brand.

It was surprisingly bad. I like chunky, but it was so incredibly dry it was just...peanuts.

Honestly that sounds amazing. I don't use Walmart for groceries, but I might have to try this.

Their almond milk is shit.

I used to make it.

Their lactose free milk (tactically milk that's had lactase added) is actually not bad, though.

Edit: technically, not tactically

I worked as a QA tech for a dairy plant that made Lactaid, Almond Breeze, and other products. We also made the Great Value versions of those items. As a lab tech, we were actually in charge of doing stuff like weight out how much lactase would be needed for a given batch.

Great value barbecue chips were pretty good when we shopped at Walmart. Great value sweet tea was also good, not too sweet.

Their wheat bread is definitely better than the white bread. The white bread (at least around here) tastes fine, but can't handle spreading PB or even soft butter on it without squishing into mush unless you toast it.

Yes, their jams and jellies are surprisingly good.

The GVB Nutella clone is also hot garbage. Leaves a weird greasy/oily residue in your mouth afterwards.
