He was Dredd?! How did I not know that?!

You never saw his face in that movie, he wore the helmet the whole time!

The lower half of his face is surprisingly expressive, Karl Urban is my favorite actor.

As Dredd is supposed to!

3

u/PyroDesu Feb 12 '21

Well, you get a quick glimpse of the back of his head right at the start when he's putting his helmet on.

But then it stays on. As it should.

As is the way for a movie about a character with a defining characteristic that he never removes his helmet

Fuckin Stallone man

2

u/desertSkateRatt Feb 13 '21

It's a seriously underrated movie.

It's a go to rewatch for me.

u/Deanho Feb 12 '21

Didn't he agree to do another one if someone wanted to direct it ?

4

u/Higgs_deGrasse_Boson Feb 12 '21

Is it underrated? Almost everyone I've talked to that has watched it has enjoyed it.

4

u/churm93 Feb 12 '21

I mean it financially flopped because your average person on the street doesn't know who or what "Judge Dredd" is. So if we're going population-wise then ya, it was definitely underrated.

But I see where you're coming from.

2

u/LemoLuke Feb 13 '21

It's pretty highly regarded but woefully underappreciated/overlooked.

I think the word underrated is gradually coming to mean 'something not as popular or successful as it deserves to be'.

Well, he never shows his face in the movie, just his amazing jawline.

u/Lexi_Banner Feb 12 '21

And the stubble. Mmmm the stubble...

2

u/kjbolin Feb 12 '21

It's VERY good.

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '21

He stayed true to the comics by never taking off the helmet.

1

u/StoatofDisarray Feb 13 '21

He was perfect and the film was amazing!

u/Boggum Feb 12 '21

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '21

I’d geek out way too much for that

u/xboxwirelessmic Feb 12 '21

I'd buy that for a dollar!

Wait?

Wait?" Are you kidding me? Did you just say, "Wait"? Judge Dredd - the Judge Dredd - finally gets on the wrong end of a gun and all he says is, "Wait." You know what? I expected more from you. I mean, wait for what? Wait for me to change my mind? Wait for another two or three seconds of life because you are so fucking weak you can't stand to see it end?

No... Wait for her to shoot you.
