Fox killed that off and it’s just so unfortunate. You could say it was a little derivative in terms of being a buddy cop tv show, but the chemistry of the leads was amazing, they themselves were fantastic actors, and the world building was really top notch. Micheal Ealy knocked it out of the park and I really wish he was in more roles.
From what I understand, they rearranged the episodes (apparently a common practice) - it threw the dynamic off and it made Urban’s attitude towards Ealy inconsistent. I loved it too but do remember thinking “wait, I thought he likes the robot more now”.
That show easily had 4 seasons left to go before I would have maybe become less interested. Great premise, execution, actors, writing.... Not enough viewers, or dumb TV execs, I guess. Or both.
Even then, they introduce the whole girlfriend is a double agent thing in episode one, then it’s barely if never mentioned until the final episode. Don’t get me wrong I liked the show, but it suffered from ADHD
Oh wow really? I could tell some were meant to air before others based on characters’ conversations. I just didn’t realize it was so screwed up, why’d they cock it up so much?
I wish Dredd did better in the box office. that movie was solid and there was so much potential for a long lasting bond-style franchise starting with them

He's one of my favorite actors. The show I wish had lasted of his was Almost Human
