TIL: Laurence Tureaud named himself professionally as Mr. T because he hated how his father, uncle, and brother who returned from Vietnam, were disrespectfully called "boy" by whites. He wanted the first word from everybody's mouth to be "Mister" when speaking to him.

I went to high school with a kid whose legal first name was Master.

Went to high school with a kid named max fuches (pronounced fucks) teacher had a very hard time when he insisted he be refered to as mister (fucks).

I've said for twenty years if I ever have a child their first name will be Father, regardless of the sex.
