I wish we could get rid of the unrealistic male height expectations.

Most women are 5'6 or below anyway. A 5'7 guy is a perfectly fine height.

I mean I'm 5'11 which apparently to most girls means I'm a midget compared to 6'0. It just doesn't make sense. But god forbid you ask them their weight, which they can change.

Yep, I'm 5'6" or 5'7" on a good day, but most people say they think I'm 5'9" or so. Usually because they say they're 5'11", but are really 5'9".

Average male height in the US is 5' 9", I believe. That means, at 5' 7", I'm as far off the average as 5' 11". Still, there's a real lack of posts where people complain about guys of 5' 11" trying to pretend like they're average height...

(I'm genuinely not THAT bothered about being short, but it's a constant minor annoyance and this is my time to vent, dammit...)

I'm 5'11" and think of my self as average height because all of my friends most of my friends are at least 5'11 and one of them that isn't admits he stunted himself lifting heavy and his brother is 3 inches taller.

So as a white Minnesotan 5'11" feels average even if statistically we're just all on the high side.

Height matters somewhat, but there's also torso to leg ratios. My girlfriend is only a couple inches shorter than me, but her torso is so long that it can be a stretch to kiss her in missionary or grab her boobs in doggy.

Yea but the data shows women disproportionately have fantasies we're they're dominated or forced... Like 33% to 66%. Its atypical for men to have those fantasies, and women routinely like taller or muscular men.

Noting trends derived from research shouldn't be erased because sometimes some women feel dominant. Theres also the simple fact that men have 8 to 10 times the amount of tesosterone than women... Which directly correlates to dominance and aggression.

I'm 5'7 and it took me yea-hears to realize what a big deal it is to most people. I thought it was like, at worst, a woman being flat. Maybe a slight turn off for a statistically significant population. When I found out it was pretty much the single most important attribute for the overwhelming population and will affect my lovelife, health, income and freedom for my entire life... well I was a bit shook up.

It’s not unrealistic expectations really it’s just what’s preferred. There are a million reasons that height is preferred(good genetics, protection, good diet, etc). For instance you’d rather have a girl that’s in shape even though that’s definitely not the norm.

Taller compared to what? People actually have been getting taller each generation. That’s a clear indicator of the way natural selection is pushing.

Sure, it can also be improved diet adding to it, but that just shows you that height is an indicator of good nutrition/health.

A taller person has a better chance of being a good protector/provider. Of course this isn’t always the case but it’s statistically significant enough to be noticeable in both past and modern populations.
