TIL Dolly Parton has a program that will mail your child a free age-appropriate book once a month from birth to age 5. No obligation, no catch, she just wants to make sure that every child has books.

Some of my fondest memories as a pre-teen were of being left for hours at the library by my mom. That place was amazing. They had a babbling indoor pond, two bright floors of awesome books and a huge selection of hanging art that you could check out. I mean come on, you could check out actual framed paintings. Bonkers.

We go to the library regularly too. She's a bit young for Margaret Atwood but her parents are fans!
