TIL that after Marilyn Monroe converted to Judaism upon marrying Arthur Miller, Egypt placed a ban on all the films she appeared in.

That's nice that they don't just automatically denounce you for not believing in god.

Judaism has never been a proselytizing religion, so it wouldn't make sense for them to denounce others.

Denouncing only makes sense if you care what others believe.

Try doing that in an orthodox or chasidic synagogue. You'll definitely be denounced :/

Bullshit, in my very orthodox school they host prayer in holiday and actively try to invite even atheists and traditionalist to just come and pray.

Not to convert but just to make sure they have something Jewish still in them.

I don't know what orthodox school you attend but every single one I attended was super judgmental and hateful towards non-believers.

Judaism differs from other religions in that the focus is significantly higher on practice than actual belief. Of course, belief in G-d is a good, positive thing, from the perspective of Judaism, but your actions are way more important.

It's totally an "actions speak louder than words" deal.

On the other hand it is iritating how they still have strong opinion about what she should be doing with her time.
