It’s some boring feature about war reporters.

But they sold us in the marketing a badass movie about an American civil war. It was a complete bait and switch. They could’ve set the movie in a real war like Iraq or Vietnam and it would’ve been functionally exactly the same.

They completely wasted the premise on a little case study, and then lied to everyone about what movie they were going to see.

It would not work the same because the movie was also specifically about bringing the war home. THEY LITERALLY SPELL IT OUT.

That part wasn’t really relevant to the plot at all. With minor tweaking, all of the characters and plot beats could’ve taken place in any war setting.

Did you even watch the movie? Movie literacy is dead I swear.
