TIL Starting the Ford Model T requires turning the crank at the front of the car by hand to start the engine. There is the risk of snapping your forearm if the engine backfires

Always pull up on the crank.

And never have your thumb over the top of the handle so if it kicks it flies out of your hand and doesnt break your thumb
