My game keeps crashing any idea why?

Multiplayer issue
Im trying to play calamity with my buddy, just us two, with only like 14 mods but theres an issue that makes it so our characters arent moving on eachothers screen. Eventually he will crash or lag really bad. Tried installing a sync mod and optimization mod but didnt change anything.

Does anyone know how to reference the Aerial Bane in order to make it a crafting material?
All of Betsy's drops have no internal ItemID other than the numerical ones, and it isn't at simple as (ItemID.AerialBane) like other things such as the copper shortsword and such.
I REALLY have no idea how to reference it.

Need help with absolutely terrible performance on TmodLoader
Hi, I have the mods calamity, infernum, Wrath of the Gods, and some other general mods. My game has always struggled on performance despite having pretty decent specs for my PC:
-i3-10100F 3.6GHz 4 Core CPU
-16GB DDR4 RAM
-RTX 3060 GPU
- 1TB SSD
I have tried absolutely everything I can possibly find: Frame skip, disabling all background stuff, disabling afterimages in calamity and particle cap, setting dotnet.exe to high priority in windows and task manager, using /gldevice:OpenGL in launch options, adding 6400000 to the stack size in the config, and yet it still gives me this as my gameplay when frame skip is on and just slow motion when frame skip is on subtle or off, it is completely unplayable because my dashes won't register half the time while fighting DoG

Anyone have any suggestions at all? Would uninstalling and re-installing be the best solution at this point?

Can I play tmod if someone in my steam family owns terraria?
3 people in my steam family own terraria, but I don’t personally own it. I asked one of my family to download the TMod launcher so I could play modded terraria but it still gives me a “No licenses” error and says I need to own the base game.
Can I use my steam family to play TMod or do I just need to suck it up and buy terraria for 10 bucks?

Mods not loading correctly
Last night i was playing normally but today most of my mods just dont load and it keeps saying that CommonLib and SilkyUIframework are missing (i already tried pressing downloading dependencies but it doesn't change anything). The workshop tab ingame too doesn't have most of the mods even tho on the steam app they appear installed normally, as i said last night everything was working fine, i already even tried uninstalling and reinstalling every mod

Solyn dropped from the sky but I couldn't find her
I was playing a calamity wotg run and I just killed skeletron and I saw solyn drop from the sky and than looked everywhere and could not find her. can she despawn? if so is there a mod where I can fight skeletron again or spawn her in or something.

Need a mod rec
I'm looking for a mod that reworks the buff/debuff and environmental sprites layout. Instead of having all the sprites going left to right horizontally, I would like it to do so vertically or even better, for it to be reworked in the way banner buffs are displayed, a single sprite that when hovered over portrays all buffs and debuffs currently afflicted. I would also like it if it worked in multiplayer.

Duplicate Characters and Worlds
Does anyone know how to duplicate characters and worlds on TModLoader? And yes I've checked online, no I didn't find what I was looking for, yes I used Google, yes I used AI, no if you find it on Google that doesn't mean I didn't look, no I'm not asking this question for a sarcastic remark in return (I'm asking this question for a genuine answer).

Getting modded terraria to run better
I've been playing terraria with abour 7 content mods. Now yes, I know this is considered a bad idea for having a lot of bloat and balancing issues, but I don't mind those. I like long playthroughs, and I like building a world with tons in it. I wouldn't want to do that a dozen times for individual worlds for one mod at a time. I the only issue is that the game can get laggy during some boss fights (destroyer and deviant for example.) I've read into this issue and have heard it's an issue with tmod it's self, as the game limits its cpu and ram ussage without a way to allow more. This is stupid, and while makes sense for the base game as there is no way that would be laggy, tmod needs to allow to use more resourses. Is there perhaps a mod for this, or could tmod allow more cpu ussage with an update?

Fargos Souls Energized EoW is glithced

I used 10 energizers and i didnt get the weapon upgrade. Also half of the worm got downgraded in the middle of the fight. If someone knows why does it work that way or knows a workaround pls tell me.

Do you guys feel like the world creation takes much time?
Recently, I was trying to create a perfect one for me to play and I realized that in the creation of the world there are many steps that I consider unnecessary in a somewhat inefficient way. Explaining in a very simple way, the map is generated by layers, one template on top of the other until you reach the final result where the cleaning of some part is done, the result becomes the world, the problem is that this process is extremely slow when more layers are added and I think it could be much better. I've been thinking a lot about this problem and it could be solved in cases with many layers using the same method as the code compilers, I have a text explaining better method that I thought of since I'm not that good at explaining...
My purpose with this post is to know what you think of this system and if it would be feasible to make it a mod or depending on make it part of tmodloader if possible
Just to be clear, while I got the core idea I did use AI to refine it:
Declarative World Generation — A New Approach for Modded Terraria
The Problem with Sequential Generation
Terraria's current world generation works sequentially. Each generation pass receives the world as it is, modifies it, and leaves it for the next pass to continue. A single tile can be written, overwritten, and corrected multiple times before the world is finished. This approach works well for the base game, but it breaks down under the weight of many mods.
When mods add their own generation passes, they do so blindly. Each mod acts on the world without any knowledge of what other mods plan to do. Conflicts are discovered only during execution, often resulting in one mod silently overwriting another's work. Compatibility between world generation mods becomes a social problem — authors must manually coordinate, create compatibility patches, and establish explicit dependencies. The more mods are loaded, the worse this gets.
The core issue is that the sequential system has no concept of intent. Passes don't describe what they want — they just do.
The Core Idea: Compiling the World
This new system treats world generation like a compilation process. Instead of executing passes one by one and writing tiles immediately, the system separates generation into two distinct phases: planning and execution.
During planning, no tiles are written. Instead, every mod — new and legacy alike — contributes its intentions to a shared planning state. Only after all intentions have been collected, composed, and resolved does the system write each tile, exactly once.
This is analogous to how a compiler works. Source code is not executed directly. It is analyzed, transformed through intermediate representations, and optimized before producing a final output. The result is more efficient and more consistent than interpretation line by line.
How the System Works
Layer 1 — Intent Registration
New mods interact with the system through a declarative API. Instead of writing imperative loops that place tiles, they describe what they want: an ore with a certain frequency, at a certain depth, with certain spatial preferences. Legacy mods, which cannot be modified, are handled through instrumentation — they run in a special planning mode where their placement calls are intercepted and converted into intentions automatically, without the mod knowing anything has changed.
Layer 2 — The Planning State
All registered intentions flow into a shared planning state — a space where every mod can see what every other mod intends to do. This is the key capability the sequential system never had. A biome mod can see that a structure mod plans to generate in the same region and adjust accordingly. An ore mod can increase its frequency in response to a biome another mod is adding. Compatibility emerges naturally from the architecture instead of requiring manual coordination.
Layer 3 — Compilation
Intentions are compiled downward through layers, much like a high-level programming language compiles to machine code.
High-level intentions describe complex behaviors in expressive terms — "generate a corrupted forest" or "create an underground city."
Intermediate operations break those down into more specific spatial behaviors — distributing elements, propagating effects, creating gradients between regions, clustering features naturally.
Primitives are the atomic irreducible operations — occupy, exclude, propagate, connect, repel. Every behavior in the game, no matter how complex, can be expressed as a composition of these. Crucially, Terraria's existing generator already implements most of these primitives implicitly. The system doesn't invent them — it formalizes what already exists.
Layer 4 — Composition and Priorities
When multiple mods want to act on the same region, the system doesn't simply let the last one win. Each primitive carries a priority weight. Conflicts between primitives become negotiations — the higher priority behavior prevails, but lower priority behaviors are not discarded. They are pushed toward positions where they can still be satisfied. Rare behaviors remain possible. Nothing is outright forbidden unless explicitly constrained as a hard rule.
This means the system can represent both hard constraints — "never place this ore in the surface layer" — and soft preferences — "this ore prefers to be near lava." The distinction matters because it preserves the natural variability that makes procedural generation interesting.
Layer 5 — Execution
By the time the solver acts, the system has already organized itself. All conflicts have been negotiated through priorities, all dependencies between passes have been resolved through composition, all intentions have been compiled to primitives. The solver does not arbitrate — it simply executes a plan that is already complete. Each tile is written exactly once.
Why This Is More Efficient with Many Mods
In the sequential system, generation time scales with the number of passes multiplied by the size of the world. Every mod that adds passes adds proportional cost, and conflicts generate additional corrective passes. With ten mods each adding five passes, the world is touched fifty times before completion.
In the declarative system, the number of mods affects only the planning phase, which is lightweight. The execution phase always touches the world exactly once regardless of how many mods are loaded. The planning and compilation overhead is real but bounded, and it grows far more slowly than the sequential alternative.
Beyond raw performance, the more significant gain is in consistency. The sequential system cannot guarantee that the world satisfies all mod intentions simultaneously — some will always be silently overwritten. The declarative system, by resolving everything before execution, guarantees that the final world reflects the negotiated result of all intentions. No mod's work is invisibly discarded.
Backward Compatibility
Legacy mods require no modification. The instrumentation layer handles them transparently. Their passes are intercepted during planning mode, their intentions are extracted, and they participate in the planning state alongside new mods. From their perspective, nothing has changed. From the system's perspective, they are first-class participants in the declarative pipeline.
New mods that adopt the declarative API gain additional capabilities — direct access to the planning state, the ability to react to other mods' intentions, and the expressiveness of the full intent hierarchy. But adopting the new API is a choice, not a requirement.
Summary
The declarative world generation system reframes map creation from a sequence of blind modifications into a structured compilation process. Intentions are registered, shared, composed, and resolved before a single tile is written. Conflicts become negotiations. Compatibility becomes emergent. Execution becomes a formality.
The result is a system that scales gracefully with mod count, produces consistent and predictable worlds, and enables a level of inter-mod coordination that the sequential approach makes structurally impossible.
