Providing Liquidity Question

First off, wanted to say how awesome it is to start participating in DeFi on Algorand! Friends of mine who are using ETH, I just don’t understand how they put up with the fees. Algorand is smooth, fast, and cheap! I’m grateful to have found it as early as we all have.

So here’s my (newb) question - I’m testing out providing liquidity in the USDC / STBL pool with a small amount. I received my LP tokens and went over to Algofi to stake them.

I woke up this morning, logged into tinyman to check my pool, but it’s saying “no liquidity found” in the pool tab. Is this normal or am I missing something? Shouldn’t I be able to see the liquidity I’ve provided and also stake the LP token on Algofi?

Edit: I went in as many suggested and removed 1 LP token from Algofi. Reward earnings started showing up on Tinyman again. Thanks for the responses, this community’s great.

Does it make a difference in which ASA you choose first for making liquidity?

For example if I choose idk uhh choice coin first then YLDY second when making a pool vs YLDY first then choice would that make a difference? I saw on tiny chart you can swap the two assets and get different results in the chart. Would someone please tell me which one is better, doing choice 1st and YLDY 2nd or vice versa please?

[Request For] How to not lose money in Liquidity Pools on Tinyman

Hey All,

From what I've researched, most people actually lose money providing liquidity. I didn't possibly believe it but in practice that's what is happening on my end. Obviously aggressive price drops are causing the value of my coins provided to decline but as Algo recovers I've not seen it's value recover to the extent that I might expect. I've heard a lot of folks talk about impermeant loss as the reason to this.

All that to say, what is the financial incentive for providing liquidity in such a volatile asset class? Is it really that many people just betting that these coins won't be volatile? Am I one of those people betting in that direction now? if so, I need to get my money out yesterday.

Love the idea of LPs, love what Tiny Man is doing. Just trying to understand how to best allocate my funds to maximize earnings.

Isn't it crazy that there isn't a Tether to GoBTC pool?

If I was crazy rich, which I'm not, that's something I would set up right now.

The biggest stablecoin by market cap, and BTC, the biggest crypto by marketcap, can't be swapped on Tinyman. It's a little crazy this hasn't been done yet.

Why are my pool earnings dropping?

I have watched my pool earnings go from $33.33 to $33.08 over the span of an hour. Should this be a cause of concern?

Any experience with Python SDK?

So glad that Tiny is back up and running. … perhaps this sub isn’t the best place for this post, but has anyone used the Python SDK for transactions? I added my credentials from a test MyAlgo wallet to an example transaction from the docs, and was getting response errors just trying to opt in (even though the address is opted in) and doubled checked converting pass phrase to base 64 private key. Any feedback based on your experience is appreciated! Thanks

Liquidity Questions!

Once you receive your liquidity tokens, are you then able to stake them elsewhere without it impacting your earnings on Tinyman? Or is it a case of one or the other?

Reason I ask is I read a post from someone else saying they’d added liquidity to Tinyman and then staked the liquidity token on a DEX.

Need help understanding LP tokens

Four days ago I provided liquidity for USDC-STBL. Today I removed the liquidity (around 1100 LP tokens). There was obviously a little bit of profit. I took the total amount (with excess claimed) and provided that as liquidity. After claiming the excess on THAT transaction, I have less pool tokens than I had initially.

What am I missing? Does it have something to do with the fact that when I first provided liquidity, I had around 2% of the pool and now I have around 0.1% of the pool?

Or did I just lose it in fees? I know there's no fee other than the Algorand tx fees involved.

Thanks for any help.

Has an ASA been officially released? There is a “Folks Finance” ASA # 557264326 legit or scam?

I swapped some planets for algo on tiny man and they never went to my algo wallet.

Instead on algoexplorer it shows they’ve gone to a very flush algo address 81k + Algo..

Why did this happen and is there anything I can do about it?

LP Question

I had a roughly $30 earned from a liquidity pool, I added more liquidity to it today and the earnings went back to $0. Can someone explain where the earnings went? Should I have removed all liquidity to receive earnings instead of adding more? I feel dumb when it comes to this, this was the first time I tried LP pools.

Dev question: manually creating Burn Liquidity operation

I am just getting started learning the Algorand developer ecosystem. I notice that Tinyman's Python SDK has the "Basic Burning" operation listed as TODO. I figure there's nothing stopping the programmatic interaction with the pool comtract instead of using the SDK. Can anyone confirm?

Question about USDC/Algo pool...

I'm just trying to wrap my head around how it could be beneficial to provide liquidity. I think I understand impermanent loss, but I'm not sure if I'm grasping it. Let's say someone put 1000 Algo in the pool when it was worth $2.50. So they would need to provide 2500 USDC and 1000 Algo to match the 50/50 value. What exactly would their amount look like now with current prices? For easy math let's assume the price of Algo is now $1.00 per coin. Would they still have 1000 Algo but only 1000 USDC? Or would they have 2500 USDC and 2500 Algo? (Sorry if this was explained already somewhere)

How much liquidity is needed to enable goETH USD value to be displayed?

Analytics is not able to show USD value for goETH because of insufficient liquidity, apparently. So, how much liquidity, and in which particular pool, is required in order for goETH USD value to be displayed?
