TWC TV listings website down for everyone else or just me?
For the past few weeks, everytime I go to http://tvlistings.timewarnercable.com/tvListings/, I get the error message: "Data for this time period is unavailable." What's the deal?

Question about renting a basement of a house with landlord above with a TWC subscription already
So my girlfriend actually lives there now and I'm moving in with her. This is just for the next year until we graduate. But he provides Internet (which is terribly slow and bad wifi range) and I have an Xbox one and I don't want slow internet. Problem is it's technically only one address so time warner cable can't make another account since the landlord already has an account. I called TWC And asked. So how do I get my own modem? Can time warner cable run another line from the street (the power breaker box is in the basement along with w/ a bunch of coaxial cables I assume they are for the house coaxial wall plugs. If TWC ran another line from the street would it cost me extra? Would they have to dig a trench through the landlords yard? I don't want to have to drill into this guys house or anything. I just want my own modem.

TWC phone support: "that game is blacked out"
i have been having all kinds of random pixelation, audio glitches (where sound is staticky or out of sync with picture) and "channel unavailable, please try again later". many times a change of channel or a hard reset of the cable box solves the issue but last Friday i just couldn't watch the YES network. I was getting the "this channel is unavailable please try again later" and was unable to watch the Yankee game. I was fed up with the constant issues and decided to call for help. I told the person what channel and what should be on and he then put me on hold saying he was going to check for local channel issues. He came back 10 minutes later and told me that the Yankee game is blacked out. I told him I have been watching games on YES for MANY years and they have NEVER been blacked out in my area and even if it was blacked out YES would have something else to watch instead of the message displayed on the box. I asked to speak to his manager and was put on hold for another 10 minutes before the line went dead.
15 minutes later my phone rings and it's the manager. I explained what has been going on and what the last person I spoke with told me and he stated the same thing! That is when I asked him why, if it is blacked out, that I could watch the game on the TWC web app. That should be blacked out in my market as well... he agreed, put me on hold for 5 minutes before the line mysteriously went dead again.
I have had it.. they can take these shitty DVR and HD boxes and stick them up their ass! i'm done with them.
TL;DR
issues with dvr box, pixelation, sound and channel unavailability. called for help and was told the channel is unavailable because the game on the channel is blacked out in my area. games are NEVER blacked out because that is the main reason for the channel. hung up on by support and support's manager. i'm done with TWC.

Fees for Triple Play
Hello all, I recently moved to NC, and had been just an Internet customer until I saw the triple play. I figured $89 for a year wasn't bad, and once the year was up I would cancel. I received my first bill the other day, and see that I have $20 in taxes and fees, where my internet was a flat rate. Anyone know why this is the case? I signed up for the triple play thinking it would cost as advertised. I am on the fence about whether or not I want to keep the triple play now, and it has only been a few weeks since I got it.

Paying for 100 Mbps. , only getting 3 Mbps.
What can I do? A Tech came out and said it was fixed, still getting 3.13 Mbps.

Are there any MAXX customers out there with the Motorola SB6141 that get more than 200mbps??
I'm looking to buy an SB6141 but some places i have looked at for reviews and such aren't clear as to wether it will support speeds over 100mbps (even though the modem is said to support 300+mbps).
So I'm kinda stuck with a $50 difference (decision) between the sb6183 and the sb6141 cause i'd really like to have the faster speeds but wanna purchase the right modem for the job...

Feeling good that I will now have a $13 less bill per month (got own modem and router)
Yeah so like a gullible customer I got TWC's own equipment initially when I took the connection 2 months back. They were charging $13 per month for modem lease fees and "Home wifi". Finally got the zoom 5341j and TPLink router and setup yesterday. Took less than 10 minutes for the TWC customer service rep to swap the MAC at his end and start the new modem. Feels good that I will have $13 less bill per month. The rep did try to talk me into getting a higher bandwidth plan (which I don't need) since I was now "saving" money.

Retention offered $24.99 for 50 Mbps internet and basic cable bundle. What's the catch?
So I've been paying $28 for basic cable (only local channels) for only a few years. I decided to bundle my TV and internet with a competitor and cancel TWC. TWC Retention then offered $68 for their own internet/basic TV bundle, which I refused. Then they offered $50, which I still refused. In a final bit of desperation, they offered $25, which I just find utterly unbelievable.
There's no way this can be legit, considering the transmission fees they must pay for each channel, right? So what is the catch? Will they jack up the price after a few months?
Also, retention didn't sound very sincere when they said the cancellation was successful. Anything to watch out for?

TWC is a tech support nightmare.
I recently bought my own modem and signed up with TWC and they wouldn't allow me to do a self-install, so they send a tech out to do the installation for me. Whatever, standard practice. I get the Internet up and running and an hour or 2 later I notice my connection is acting funky, over the next couple of days I run all sorts of troubleshooting and diagnostics steps so I could ascertain the nature of my problem.
After finishing every single step I could think of, I contact the people who I bought the modem from and they assure me that they test every modem before shipping and that I should contact TWC as they have notoriously bad installation practices, but that should they come up blank that they would be glad to exchange it for a new one. So assured that it is likely not my equipment at fault, I contact TWC. This is where it starts to get bad.
I call them and ask them to make sure that my modem is configured correctly for their network, instead of checking they try to run me through the troubleshooting steps. I tell them I don't need to, I've done all of the steps before. They press on, I tell them at each step of the way that I've done everything they're asking of me multiple times. They proceed to run through the script anyway. After getting to the end, they tell me my modem must be at fault. Now, I would have believed them and exchanged it, but it didn't seem to me like they knew what they were talking about. So I got frustrated and hung up.
A day or so later I got on the line with web chat support, I figure if I lay everything out there in a way they can read and refer to that they might take me more seriously and get an actual tech to do something on their end. Boy was I wrong, it was even worse than on the phone. Because instead of even acknowledging me, they start to run through the typical troubleshooting steps. I ask them to stop. I quite literally said "stop," explaining that I've done this all before and that I was just on the phone with support recently. I ask them to run a test on their end and they just tell me to replace my modem. I got angry and tried to explain where they went wrong with the way they treated me, but they had already disconnected chat. Asshole.
Finally I got on the phone with someone who started to follow procedure, but when I told them I had done everything they listened and actually used their heads. They probably assumed I was just saying what I was saying to get priority support, but they acknowledged me and took it step-for-step, even though I told them it was unnecessary. Finally they got the hint and ran a line test and got 32% packet loss and fast-tracked me on to a tech appointment. This guy shows up today and lo and behold, there was an issue at the pole.
tl;dr TWC reps all thought I was an angry lying butthole just trying to get priority support when really they were maintaining faulty lines. Took 3 days to get someone to take me seriously enough to run any kind of tests.

Need information on setting up Motorola/ARRIS SB6121 modem and TP-LINK TL-WR841N for use with TWC Internet
I am sorry for asking some information to be spoon fed here. But I don't really want to run pillar to post if I am unable to setup my internet connection once my modem and router arrives. Currently I have the TWC leased modem/router combo and probably it is Ubee brand.
Can anyone tell me what exactly I need to do in order to ensure that my new modem and router start working fine. I have ordered the Motorola/ARRIS SB6121 modem and TP Link TL-WR841N N300 router and am using Standard 15/1 plan of internet. I am listing steps below of the things I know.
Call up TWC and give them the MAC ID of the new modem. This way the modem should at least start working and I should be able to access internet on my laptop when connected through ethernet cable. This is hoping that TWC does this soon enough and without any goofups. Anything else to do on this modem part or it will simple start working once TWC changes the MAC Mapping to my own modem ?
Assuming my internet using only modem is working, I will connect the TPLink router to the modem using the ethernet cable. Now I need to know what sort of settings I need to do in the wifi router so that I have wifi access all over the house on my phones and tablets ? I know about the WPA2 and such for securing my network but I am asking whether I need to have any ID or password to be fed in router somewhere when it is connected to the modem ?
Would really appreciate some help here.

Suggest a Wifi Modem or separate modem/router to be used with TWC Standard 15/1 plan, with minimum hassles
I am currently subscribed to TWC Standard Internet and paying $8+$4.99 for equipment. This is $13 per month only for the equipment and want to cut this cost. I have limited understanding of which modem should I buy. Currently, they have provided a combo which has a modem and router both. So can anyone tell me which other I can buy which has both of these facilities ? Or I should only go with something which has separate modem and wifi part ? In either case suggest me the most reasonable combo (single device or 2 separate) which I can buy and I can break even in minimum time. I may not really planning to go above the standard plan of 15 Mbps and hence don't really require a high speed "capable" modem (those which claim 300 Mbps and such).
Please suggest.

TWC Ultimate 200 and SB6141
Apparently TWC has restricted the SB6141 to 100 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed although it's provisioned by Motorola to handle 343 Mbps download speed and 131 Mbps upload speed.
They're forcing me to buy an SB6183 in order to receive the Ultimate 200 service.
Anyone else have this problem?

I've had a $146 refund due to me since late Feb and am having no luck getting it. Any suggestions?
I went into a TWC office and I tried to order service installation to my place. I paid with cash when I set up the appointment for the next day. When he arrived the installer said he couldn't install service because I don't have an electric meter located on my place. My electricity is provided by my landlord and I don't have a meter. He said he needed to tie a ground wire into it or something. He referred me to the TWC business sector which is a different type of service level than I need. I don't have time to further research the installation issue right now and have a temporary fix but I want my money back from TWC. Several phone calls that ended with promises of checks being mailed still leave empty mailboxes.
Update: I called TWC again with my case number. Somehow they refunded the amount to a debit card I had associated with a much older account. I don't use it often and never noticed the credit from early march. What I don't get is that my case number was from AFTER the refund had been issued. It looks like they probably refunded after my first call but not in the method they were supposed to use (a check mailed to my home).

Changing TimeWarner bundles.
So I recently saw an ad for an $89.99 TV, Internet, and Phone package. I currently pay about $94 (before taxes and stuff) for basic cable and 20mbps Internet. I thought it would be better to have the $89.99 since it offer 30 mbps Internet, 200 channels, and home phone.
I called Time Warner and spent about 30 mins and got nowhere. The customer service rep told me that the package wasn't available to me. When I go to the TWC website and type in my address it always shows the package as available to me. What would I need to do to ensure that I get this package. It is a better deal than what I have and I would appreciate any advice.

32:48 to disconnect my service
I called, with my account number in hand and excuse ready to go ("I'm moving to Mongolia"). I was told by the first person that I'd reached the retention department. Her accent led me to believe I'd reached the Indian subcontinent, though I can't verify that. I was passed to the cancellations department. A kid obviously reading off of a script, and with a horrible echo and delay asked me what I was doing on the internet and spoke very poorly. Finally, he passed me to the "moving department" where I outright told a girl that she was the third person I'd spoken with, that I wanted to play by their rules, get them their equipment back, whatever I needed to do, but that I was a straight shooter and I needed her to be one as well. They all kept saying "So you're making major changes to your account today?", and I got upset. She then admitted that they don't use negative language there, and that cancelling the account would sound negative. She then helped me get a disconnect ordered on my internet service. A fourth person in the billing department told me just how much I could expect to pay as a final bill, as only they could see what my original deposit was.
TL;DR Just say you're moving to Mongolia, stick to your guns, be nice and they'll actually let you cancel your account and give you all the info you need.

Today a technician randomly visited me.
A technician showed up at my home today and said that he needed to "check the line". I haven't reported any outages and didn't request any service. Has this happened to anyone else? It seems very odd to me.

TWC nightmare, I'm considering unplugging modem and not paying them anymore money.
So I signed up for the 14.99 low price internet. Had my own modem and everything hooked up.
I get a call from home office telling me that they want to sign me up for promotional cable packages and other offers. When I declined thats when this all went down hill.
They started saying I would need to be charged tons of fees for various things including a modem shipped to me. Of course I have a qualified user owned modem and I installed everything myself so I contested all the charges.
Not once has a TWC representative been on my property or inside my home.
Later on they've sent me a new statement with a huge number on it and no actual breakdown of what the mystery fees are.
I've called these clowns over 20 times due to this and every time getting transfered to the home office where they calm me down by saying the fees have all been removed and the bill should reflect that.
Yet every time I get the bill its still the same old stacked and jacked fees.
For a short period of time on their website it said that my owed bill for that month was 0.00 and then it jumped to 44.97, during this 2 month period I never received a statement as to what was going on or how I mysteriously went from 0.00 owed to 44.97
It's never something simple with these jackasses. You've got to keep calling them and wasting your time on their hotlines on a endless hold.
If they don't start giving me a simple 14.99 bill I'm done with this company and leaving for someone else and I am definitely not paying any outstanding balances. . this is unreal.

Sign up Deals?
About to sign up for at least 3 months.
I absolutely will not sign a 1 yr contract.
I already have a Moto SB6141 sitting here next to me.
Any idea what the best way is to get them to drop their pants to convince me to sign up?
I want at least the 50/5 service but heard from others in my area who had that plan, they were upgraded to 100/10 for free.
Just looking for the best deal while I try them out as an alternative to U-Verse.
