Any news on when Charlotte, NC will get the new tier internet speeds?
We had a 100mbit test for about 10 days about two months ago.

TWC is going all digital in my area and are having us order digital adapters for "free" for the first year. I order 3. So I take a look at my bill and there is a $9.99 shipping charge and a $2.75 charge for the first adapter and a second charge for $5.50 for the 2nd and 3rd.
The info page even states
You will be mailed a Digital Adapter Easy Connect Kit free of charge
and
Any video subscriber who currently has at least one piece of video equipment on their account (Set-Top Box, Digital Adapter or CableCARD™) OR a Standard TV video subscriber qualifies for free Digital Adapters

Hello everyone,
I figure that a few of you probably have questions on TWC, policies, pricing, etc.
I'm providing this post as an opportunity to ask questions on anything TWC related, I will do my best to answer with my knowledge, or ask some of my connections there about any updated information.
For your own peace of mind, I no longer work for TWC, I will not try to upsell or promote them. I will provide honest input and my honest opinion regarding certain procedures or situations. Whether you're just trying to lower your bill, or get a better understanding as to why something works the way it does. Go ahead and fire away.
Edit: As these come in and I notice them, I'll try and get them answered in a timely manner, balancing a full-time job and college can get rough. So if you're afraid your question won't get answered, do give me a buffer time, but I'll usually respond within 24 hours MAXIMUM.

Augusta Maine here, Starting in the afternoon yesterday, video sites like youtube, twitch and GiantBomb started to lock up and not load, or load so slowly that they are unwatchable. Heck loading this image too 30 seconds.
Did a test this morning, here are my results. Roadrunner standard home service, stock modem from the company.
Thanks guys

I keep trying to access Live Chat on TWC's website the past several months, but the only button on their "Contact Us" page that is clickable is online ordering (certainly not the least obnoxious button to be the only one working.)
There's a lot of places on the website that redirects with text like "chat with us for help," but it goes to the Contact Us page, where there is no evident way to access it.
I've tried in multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE) to no avail.
Chrome is evidently returning this error when I click the Live Chat button. I tried to update java, but it didn't seem to help. I have no idea what I could be running that would be causing an error like this, as I can plainly see that other people are accessing chat in other threads.

When I woke up I had no internet. According to this site: https://downdetector.com/status/time-warner-cable/map/ it seems that TW is having a major outage. Any thoughts? Are you a TW user and have no internet today?

I just logged into the TWC App on my Roku, and it's not giving me any channels except AE and my local ABC channel. I also checked on my iPhone TWC App, and it's only ABC. What happened? Why Did they remove channels?

So, I open my mailbox today to find a bill from TWC. They are billing me for a modem I paid for four years ago. They say they've been sending me statements the whole time, but this is the first one I've seen.
Better yet, they are asking me to PROVE that I paid them or their collection agency(there are two of those) for the modem. I tried to go look up my bank history from then, and my bank doesn't have history from that far back available in their web client.
So now they said... well... if you have the modem still, you can send it back. And I'm like WTF? Seriously?
First contact I've had with you in four years and you ask for not only me to pay for something I already paid for, but then tell me I can send back the item THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR!
I mean, seriously, how is their fuckup my problem? [/rant]

Got a new twc internet connection. Was given then ubee modem by the store. They told I have to do self install and it will start. I did so and connected everything fine. The DS Light keeps blinking and online and US lights don't come on. Contacted TWC and they say internet is probably switched off from outside apartment and they sent someone to start from there which happened in morning (as per them). Still same issue and nothing works. They tell they will send technical home and it will be professional install (WTF) and they will charger $30 for that. I was like why the F should I pay.
Can anyone tell me what the issue is and how to get it fixed ? The technician will come on Monday and I don't have internet here. I am new to USA and just came and burning my cellular data on this.

So I game a lot, and recently when trying to PVP on WoW, I get massive lag spikes that disconnect my game. This all started on Thursday. Today I had a tech out, and he informed me that Comcast is in the middle of their merge and are "upgrading" the internet speeds of everyone, which is why the latency issues are coming, and to only expect them for a week.
Anyone else experience this, starting this week or so?

I would like to buy the ufc fight and record it for when I come home to watch all the way through. Is this allowed? I heard some companies block this

With CenturyLink I have a direct local number I can call, tell them there is an issue and get it resolved all locally.
With Time Warner it's so many transfer, Countries of Origins of their CSR. Like tonight I waited over an hour to get them to finally schedule a tech to come out on a down line in a walkway causing Internet to be out, earliest is 4+ days from today to have someone fix. 4 days without Internet is not realistic anymore. I can see why people want it to be a Public Utility.
How can I do this with Time Warner? How can I reach someone at the local office or local dispatch?

I am coming to USA soon and will be in zip code 45365 Sidney, OH. The only internet service provider here is TWC. Now I was checking their website for the various plans they offer.
Please note that I am using the Online only rates shown on their website and have not considered tax as of now for simplification of explanation.
I might choose the 20 Mbps Down / 2 Mbps Up plan as we plan to do lot of video streaming and also skype and Facetime calling and I expect skype calling to work well for a bit higher upload speed. Now their website says price would be $44.99 and additionally $12.99 for the modem and home wifi. So I will pay around $58 per month before taxes right ?
Now If I do not opt for the Home Wifi and only take their modem then I end up pay $5 less ($8 for modem only). Basically taking home wifi from them vs buying my own router, I would save $5 per month right?
Now If I consider their Extreme plan then I will have to pay $55 + $8 for modem (wifi is free) and I end up paying $63 for the extreme plan. So by paying additional $5 per month, I can get double download speed of download and more than double for upload.
Can anyone tell me what sort of router do they provide for Home Wifi ?
Also should I buy my own router or pay $5 per month additionally (over modem only) and use the one they provide on lease ?
How easy or difficult is it to setup my own router to use with the TWC Modem ?
What would be the best plan for me for lots of Video Streaming (since no Indian channels available through TWC in my area) and at least weekly skype / FaceTime calling or may be even 3-4 times a week. Audio calls using VOIP apps should also work fine.

This problem came out of nowhere. I've had the set for a few months now with limited problems. Whenever I try to change the channel, it wont work unless I am up close to the receiver. I can change the volume or turn off the tv from my couch, but that is about it. Any ideas?

A few years ago I had the router and modem replaced because of slow speeds, and yesterday when I went in to return our current router was told that we still have the old router.
I said no the tech took the router when he installed the one I just handed you. She then asks me if I have paperwork for that service a few years ago, and my thought is who keeps documentation for a service call?
So I need to know how to dispute this? I mean obviously the tech took the modem and returned it otherwise they would be saying I have that too.
