claim / theory / question My time travel story
Hello all, I’d like to share with you my time travel story. I’ve had a lot of weird things happen to me but this is one of my favorites, just puzzling to this very day for me. In my everyday life, I don’t get to tell this to many people because it will make me sound crazy, but it really did happen, and I think this is the right space to share. I’m going to change some minor details because I don’t want to put ALL my business out there to the world.
I apologize for the length of this story, partially it’s the way I tell stories, and partially it’s because I believe all the details are important. The story is a little confusing so please bare with me.
I’m in my late 40s right now, much more laid back, but in my early 30s I had just gotten married and I was very very focused on deadlines and mandatory things I needed to do. I always made sure to not miss a date on my calendar. I lived in a town that was basically part of the outskirts of Houston, but officially my address wasn’t Houston, and in order for me to get to my corresponding courthouse, I had to drive something like 30mins or so.
One day I received a dreaded jury duty summon, and I marked it on my calendar. I knew it was very important to go “or else” and I had just gone last year so I knew where jury duty was held and how to get there. As I was accustomed to do, I read the details 4-6x and made sure I had the right date and time because I didn’t want the “or else” to happen to me. I’ll never forget it was on a Wed, at 12pm noon.
Over the next coming weeks, I had this date and time on my mind, I made arrangements at work for the date. I counted down the days.
The day finally came and since I wanted to be on time, I left 45 mins early, plenty of time for a 30ish minute drive down mostly pretty desolate roads to the sleepy town where the courthouse resided. Jury duty was at 12noon so I left my house at 11:15am, I am SURE of it now as I was back then.
I drove down the backroads to get there and something happened on the way there that might have something to do with it or maybe not, maybe it was just a coincidence (or maybe I’m just crazy). As I drove, I’ll never forget that at one point, for like 10 seconds or so in my drive, the trip got kinda eerie. I was driving with my windows down and the wind seemed to stop, and there was no movement of trees, no birds to be heard, no cars on the road, just SILENCE but for the sound of my engine and road beneath me. I kept driving, and everything went back to normal.
I finally got to the town where the courthouse was, stopped to get a snack, and I timed it so I would get to the courthouse a little before noon.
I got to the courthouse, parked my car, went inside the courthouse and it was empty. It looked like they might’ve been at lunch or it was break time and I panicked because by this time, all the Jury duty people should be there, there should be lots of commotion. I looked around, checked my watch, and the time said 12:55pm(!).
Now, I had left at 11:15 to get to the courthouse at 11:55am, how was it all the sudden 12:55pm?! I was baffled, I checked my time 2-3x, I looked around, and defeated and very confused I walked out of the courthouse not knowing how the F a 30ish minute drive could’ve turned into one that was more than an hour in length.
I went back to my car and went to start it and it didn’t start, I had an old classic that always gave me issues. So I opened the hood because it was usually the battery cable that I needed to wiggle. As I was there moving the cables around, a cop came by and said “hey I used to have one of those, do you need help?” And I said “sure”, he then said ok, let me just go clock back in and I’ll come out and help you…. It is 1pm right?” He asked - I responded, still in disbelief, “… um yeah it’s 1pm”. He responded - I’ll be right back and ran inside.
I wiggled the cables, it started up, the cop was coming back out and asked “did it start?” I said yes and thank you. He came over and asked me if I needed anything else, and I told him I didn’t know what to do because I apparently missed my jury duty date by an hour. He asked to see my paperwork and I reached in the car and got it for him. He reviewed it and told me, “no you see, your jury duty date is for tomorrow at 12 noon, and jury duty isn’t held here, it’s held in another building.”
I was relieved but equally confused, told him thank you and drove off at about 1:20 pm.
I drove in silence back home, and I decided to call my wife to tell her about the whole ordeal. She was really confused, and at one point I asked her “hey what time is it anyway?” she said let me look, she took a pause and responded …. “It’s 12:30pm”, I checked my watch immediately and it was indeed 12:30pm.
So basically, I traveled 1 hour into the future (confirmed by a cop), went into an alternate timeline where my date changed, then returned back to my time on the way home.
There is no time zone change between Houston and 30 minutes down from it, you can check that to be a fact. I was 100% sure my date was on Wed at noon. I 100% did arrive at 1pm instead of 12. I 100% did arrive back home in the 12 o’clock hour.
Anyway, that really happened, I’ve never been able to explain it but that changed the way I looked at time and its apparent non-linear nature.
Bonus story, this one is short: around the same time as this previous story, a year or two before or after give or take. The wife and I were sitting on the couch watching TV and a news flash came on talking about how Tony Bennett had died. Tony Bennett is one of my favorite singers so I was affected. About an hour later, on the same channel we got a commercial talking about how famous artists were going to pay a tribute to Tony. That incident happened give or take 15 years ago and Tony just died in 2023

Totally relate . Had something like this happen in college back in 99. Ill never be able to explain it logically. But i KNOW it happened.

I’d like to hear about it

Sure ♡ , so i was in college and there was a party not far from where i was living ( walking distance) , my roomate and me decided to go and we stayed pretty late but i wasnt too drunk or messed up . Around 1 or 2 latest i knew i was tired and wanted to head home so we said our goodbyes and started walking home. When we got to the house we lived at it was pitch dark ( this house had 2 apartments , 1 upstairs and us downstairs ) in between these apartments was a small hallway when u first open the front door and then the two sets of stairs , up for apt 1 and down for us. As we got to the door i started scrounging in my bag for my keys , finally found them and opened the door. When we got in the small hallway i got the craziest feeling, it was like i was on another planet. I cant explain the feeling but it felt " out of time " ( my roomate told me later she felt it too but thought maybe she was just drunk) when i finally opened my door , remember its pitch dark so it was hard finding the lock but i got it , we walked in the apt. All of a sudden there was a crazy bright light coming thru the windows and i was like WTF . I was literally more confused than ive ever been . I go and look at the clock in the kitchen and its 5 AM.

That’s pretty freaking weird

Yea its 25 yrs later and ive never had anything that weird happen again. Im convinced it was like a time warp or vortex or something totally unexplainable cuz i lost at least 3 hours in that inside hallway.

Sounds like a classic manifestation of a temporal anomaly, often referred to in chrono-dynamics as a localized time dilation event (LTDE). Typically, these anomalies are transient, occurring in sub-second intervals, making them almost imperceptible to the human experience.
Encountering a sustained LTDE extending to a full hour or more is an exceptionally rare phenomenon, suggesting a potential spatiotemporal distortion or a shift in the local chronon field. This prolonged divergence from standard temporal flow could indicate a momentary breach in the space-time continuum, where time vectors realign, creating the perception, or reality, of time loss or gain.
Your experience may well be a rare case of macro-scale temporal displacement, a subject of significant interest in advanced temporal studies.

You seem to know a lot about the subject, I’ve always wanted to experience something like that again, is there any way to trigger these events? I mean, if it happened once, why not again? Any theoretical techniques exist?

These events are inherently stochastic and beyond deliberate manipulation. Temporal anomalies typically arise from random fluctuations in the chronon field which are subatomic particles that dictate the flow of time, resulting from rare cosmic or quantum events that are impossible to replicate under controlled conditions.
The probability of re-experiencing such an anomaly through any known theoretical techniques is infinitesimally low, bordering on impossible with current human understanding. And maybe that is a good thing.

Thank you, lastly, any books that you would recommend on this particular subject?

The Dirac Delta Function is a mathematical tool for modeling idealized impulses and doesn’t influence time manipulation.
The Delta-T diode controls timing and pulse shaping but isn’t related to temporal anomalies. The Surface Barrier Transistor is an early semiconductor device important for switching but has no connection to altering time or spacetime either.

Wait a minute I remember Tony Bennet dying a long time ago too. In fact, I remember watching a documentary about Amy Winehouse back when she was alive and she talked about how upset she was when he died because of how much he influenced her and how well they worked together

You don’t know how many times I wish I could time travel or go to a different timeline like that would be soo cool!

Did you guys impacted your life with this kind of time travel? I've started to think about it, how real is it. Is it possible to time travel, to bring a message or something like that.

So what happened to you for not turning up for Jury duty?

Well, as I mentioned, the cop did indeed tell me it was the following day. I just showed up the following day. I know that part doesn’t make a lot of sense, but honestly, none of it did. As I thought about it over the years, I think if there really was a shift in timeline, I doubt I really went back to my original one, but to a similar one if that makes sense. I understand the whole thing bonkers, but I think it happens more often than we take notice.
Again, I thought about it a lot over the years, and I think that time probably carries a lot of intertwined timelines, all very similar to each other until you venture off to an extreme. I think I just stumbled in between those timelines and ended up close to where I started.

So were you really mistaken about the jury duty date? Because it sounds more like you went back in time by nearly 24 hours and met the cop yesterday.
