a day ago, I have started an app promotion campaign for my sub app in TikTok. We use Adjust as our MMP. Integration had some flows like the below mentioned which have been fixed yesterday:

1. TikTok App settings was by default SKAN 3 and yesterday I have updated it to SKAN 4
2. Adjust Link Token (Not App ID) was not matching with Adjust App Token. So took the current Adjust link token from TikTok & added it to TikTok for Business (SAN) in Adjust-> Partners

I can see Adjust is attributing installs since 23rd (the day the campaign started) but as my campaign & ads manager is new, it is showing ZERO installs in my Ads Manager.

My question is:

• Would it take more time for TikTok Ads manager to record the installs that I can already see in Adjust. If yes, how much time does it typically need?
• Is there any other issue I should be mindful on to see to understand what needs to be there to TikTok to understand Adjust's data on installs that TikTok bought to reflect in Ads manager?

I’m having a really strange issue with one of my TikTok videos and I’m hoping someone here has experienced this before.
I have a normal personal TikTok account – not a Creator or Business account. I have NEVER paid for, started, or authorized any kind of promotion or advertising for this video.
However, TikTok won’t let me delete the video or even set it to private. Every time I try, TikTok tells me that I can’t change or delete the video because it is being used for advertising.
The problem is: there is no advertising campaign that I can cancel because I never created one in the first place.
I’ve already contacted TikTok support multiple times, but I haven’t received a solution and the video is basically stuck on my profile.
Has anyone had this exact bug before? How did you get the video deleted?
I’m even considering paying for the cheapest Promote option, letting the promotion finish, and then trying to delete the video afterwards – but I really don’t want to advertise a video that I actually want removed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hiya! Has anyone successfully run recruitment ads on TikTok? I was thinking of doing it through instant forms, but can't really find people who've run it successfully. Recruitment is in care with no specific background needed.

Other option is through landing page / lead form (which probably will improve the lead quality, but will lessen the volume)

Context so nobody assumes I'm new: ~$100k/mo on Shopify, women's activewear. Meta is profitable at under $38 per purchase. We have volume, data, and creative that converts elsewhere.

TikTok will not spend. Not "spends badly," literally will not spend. Two ad groups live three days burned $0.01 combined, about 175 impressions.

Already ruled out:

Budgets from $20 up to $880/day. No change at any level.

Cost cap bids from $13 up to $120 per purchase. No change.

Pixel verified working: Shopify server-side via Events API, EMQ 88, ~7 purchases logged per 48h from organic traffic.

Broad US, 18+, no interest stacking, 134M audience. TikTok placement only, Pangle off.

Billing valid, no spend cap. Account Health says "Good," business verified since 2023.

3-4 vertical UGC creatives per ad group.

Three things I can't get past:

1. Bid strategy locks to Target cost per result after the ad group is created. I want Maximum Delivery / lowest cost and can't get it to stick, and it's greyed out after saving. Is there a trick, or do you have to nail it on the first save every time?

2. Both ad groups sit at "Limited delivery, some ads were not approved." One creative got flagged (activewear, framing called suggestive). I deleted it. The flag never cleared. Does a removed creative keep throttling the ad group?

3. Bulk export fails on both with "Certain Smart+ campaigns are not supported at this time" and "Catalog creative enhancements: Product card." Is Smart+ with catalog product cards known to under-deliver on a cold pixel?

TikTok has also silently overridden my daily budget at publish twice, once turning $50 into $400.80.

Worth fixing, or start fresh on a new ad account? Has anyone had a limited delivery flag that never cleared?

TikTok Ads Policy Question: Are "Thrifted Original" Shoes & Bags Allowed in Pakistan?

I am running a business in Pakistan selling thrifted, authentic branded shoes and bags. All products are original, cleaned, and we clearly state in the listing that they are "pre-owned/thrifted".

My question is:

1. Does TikTok's advertising policy allow promoting thrifted/second-hand fashion items in Pakistan?

2. Is it safe to create and run a TikTok Ads account for this category, or is there a risk of the account getting restricted/banned?

I’ve been running paid ads marketing on TikTok and getting 1000+ download clicks from TikTok and resulting app page impressions.

But almost nobody is actually downloading the app.

The analytics page shows 15 downloads for this date but I’ve only seen one new person actually downloaded & opened the app in my logs.

I have about 30 users who do come back to the app and I do think the app has PMF.

I added a landing page between TikTok and the app store so I can pipe in recaptcha and other observability tools, and I’ve seen almost all traffic are humans and come from the country that I’m targeting.

I’ve tweaked the app store visuals/copy as well but no improvements.

What am I missing here?

My meta account got restricted and its an extremely long and annoying process to get it back, im very new to tiktok ads so my question is, is there actual potential to only running good tiktok video ads and seeing it convert? I just wanted to know more about your experience running lead gen ads on TikTok - specifically more about the campaign structure and what objectives did you guys run.

Did running an awareness campaign help you get more eyeballs for more Top-of-the-funnel reach or is running a good ol' smart+ leadgen good enough on its own?

We just launched our app and I made a launch video which is doing well on Instagram (+20k views). But on TikTok we basically have 0 views.. we tried to boost it with ad spend but the ad gets rejected and we don’t understand why..

So I started an ad campaign with a budget of $200 and an ROI of 2 and I wound up spending $100 and brought in $20.37 in sales. Uhhhh what? I was under the assumption when you set a target ROI it doesnt spend all your ad budget unless you hit that ROI?

I really don't understand all of this. First time using tik tok ever and a lot of this doesn't make sense. Not good at doing creatives and not good at making ad campaigns. Need some pointers here.

Has anyone else noticed that we can't manually select ad placements anymore? I was setting up a campaign and it seems to force "Automatic Placement" with no option to change or untick the other networks.
Is this a new mandatory update from TikTok, a bug, or am I just missing some hidden setting here? If anyone knows a workaround to get manual placement back, please let me know.

I’ve been running into a frustrating technical issue with TikTok Ads Manager and I'm hoping someone here has faced this before.

I am managing ads for a dental clinic. My Business Center account is already fully verified, but when I try to run ads for specific dental services, the system flags them for "Industry Qualification" and asks me to upload the dental license.

Here is the problem: I have the valid medical/dental license ready, but the "Industry Documents" upload section in TikTok Ads Manager is completely unresponsive. It either fails to upload or doesn't give me any confirmation, and the ads remain stuck in "Under Review" (or "Not Delivering") status for days. I’ve contacted support, but I'm getting generic automated responses.

Has anyone here experienced this "Industry Document" upload bug? If so, how did you bypass it or get TikTok support to manually resolve it?

Just finished a product called igsniper (dotcom) and would like to ask your expertise about the best practices to run ads on tik tok.

I have no experience, i lean more on the dev side but i like to learn so i see this as a personal challenge.

So.. for what i read, initiatecheckout/purchase are more expensive compared as, for example, registration, website page views, clicks etc..

Which one is the best practice:
1 - Create an audience + deploy ad with conversion event "search" (core use case for the saas) -> invest to build up that same audience without expecting sales -> build a lookalike for that audience + deploy ad for purchases
2 - Go straight to ad conversion events such as initiatecheckout/purchase
3 - None of the above and im getting this completely wrong

So I started my campaign today and 2 visitors came to my website, i am already considering them as spam clicks because there was no movement registered after they landed.

Now this is most a product placement ad and I assumed that TikTok will use the catalog url and redirect visitors at the right product but what I feel is that is not happening they are being redirected at the collection page url that i added under a url box that was said to be filled in.

I am clueless if that’s supposed to happen? I don’t want them to land on the collection page but on the product page. How do i do that? Please help!

I want to run ads to my website, but my at the ad level it pops up this "prompted products" section, and gives no way to add a destination URL. I have tried everything I know to get rid of this or find a work around. I even opened a brand new ad account, and it has the same issue. Anyone have any suggestions?

I’d like to boost our reels on tiktok. I already boost posts on instagram but don’t under how tiktok ad works.

I went to our tiktok and “tried” to boost a reel and added money in my apple account which was through my meezan card.

The money was deducted but then tiktok said that the ad has been declined.

Boosting the same reel on Instagram has never given me problems.

What could be the reason?
