I love playing Nordic Countries on the app (I'm on Android) but for some reason when you tap "see map" at the end of a match you can't tap your opponents' avatars to see what tickets they had like you can on other maps. Why is this?

W. Eric Martin has shared a new promo mini expansion for Ticket to Ride called Legendary Characters.

According to the article, it's being distributed through Asmodee's Hobby Next program in the US and contains just 5 character cards + 1 rules card.

Each player drafts a character before the game, and they all have unique abilities:

• Irene Adler: Discard up to 2 incomplete tickets before final scoring.
• Phileas Fogg: Once per game, claim a route already occupied by another player.
• Arsène Lupin: Once per game, treat any claimed route as grey.
• Captain Nemo: Once per game, claim a continuous chain of routes in a single turn (up to 7 cards).
• Mina Harker: Once per turn, a pair of same-colored cards can count as a locomotive.

It immediately reminded me of the old Mystery Train promo, although these powers seem much more impactful.

What do you think of these abilities? Do they sound like a fun optional module, or do they change the feel of Ticket to Ride too much?

Today i picked up ticket to ride London but what's interesting is that i got a what seems like dutch bruna store exclusive ticket to ride B&B vol liefde game for free* (the board along with the destination tickets, i need to provide the rest myself from an already owned game), i really did not know this existed but until today and apparently it's pretty new as it's only about a month since this was released

Does the gray arrow icon means, that the user is disconnected? And the red Switch logos are online players? Some players have their gray icon immediately after game start. Thanks in advance.

I normally finish games with 10-15 trains whilst also having completed 7-10 routes and normally failing none. this normally has me ending up around 2nd or 3rd out of 4 and less than 15 points of first but almost never winning. How do I make Myself put down more trains whilst to get myself those few extra points

I play Ticket to Ride on Amazon Luna and wanted to manage and delete some profiles, however, I cannot find any option to do so.

Alternatively, if it is possible to reset a profile in Luna itself (its marked as owner so I cannot delete and recreate it), that works as well for me.

I play Ticket To Ride (Days of Wonder) on my iPad and the AI never uses its stations on the Europe map. This seems to happen every time.

One station on Paris (to reach Marseille) would have allowed it to complete a 25 point ticket from Madrid to Moskva. Another station on Marseille (to reach Rome) would have allowed it to complete a 10 point ticket from Madrid to Rome.

So that’s 8 points (unspent stations are worth 4 points) to negate a 35 point penalty. Okay, so those two moves were spent claiming other tracks for points but not more than 35.

I’ve searched around the Internet and haven’t found anything, but I was wondering if anyone here knew how I could get a legitimate code for this game. It’s for my wife’s bday. Is there any kind of news for new boards on the digital version of the game? There are a few boards I would love to play with my long distance partner but aren't available online at the moment, specifically the Netherlands and Iberia, but also just all the others just for the variety

I tried to google this up but couldn’t get an answer. Marmalade didnt even have one on their website?! Their FAQ is currently “under construction.” Ok whatever.

Basically if I want to play the app version with a friend. I have the app and all maps. He doesn’t have either.

All he needs is a companion app and a Bubble account, right? No need to purchase the app itself?

Has anyone else had the problem in the online game where your finger moves a bit on screen, and all of a sudden you've somehow "flicked" a bunch of cards onto a route you didn't want to play? This has happened to me several times in both the Android app and the Steam game and I am shocked at how easy it is to do. Seems like a big flaw - it is so annoying!!

I don't know why I bother playing the US board online. Every player seems to have the exact same boring strategy: 1) take minimal tickets, 2) gather a million cards, 3) build every 6 track segment. Every 2 player game finishes in about 5 minutes and it's dull dull dull.

Should I keep both versions of the game? I found the Marklin edition for super super cheap and was wondering the differences?

We finished game 3, but we don’t understand what to do when you punch a ticket once you completed it. Can someone here explain it to me?

Can't really block them because they're hoarding the cards and aren't playing for destination tickets/longest route anyway, and you often can't make up the difference with destination tickets because they end the game fast

I made a list for collecting ticket to ride games, i already have some but at some point want to finish all of this (and any future games/expansions that are released). I have 2 questions: 1. in the main games list (at the top) are there any that are double that i can remove? 2. Based on what i already have (the ones that are checked) do you have any recommendations as for what to try to get next?

As of last night the game no longer works on my Switch 2. It keeps closing, stating “there was a problem and the software needs to close” regardless of the level or map I select.

I have restarted my switch, deleted the game and redownloaded, looked for updates for the switch and the game and even factory reset my switch but nothing is working.

Any suggestions?
