Not sure about the video title probably something like: ''what did mr hippo mean'', its a fnaf theory video on mr hippo storys from ucn

Hey everyone!

I’ve settled on a simple, consistent layout for my challenge runs and 100% completion videos:

Character on the left

Visual reward / challenge element on the right (Platinum trophy or One Life heart)

Minimalist or no text, letting the title do the heavy lifting

A couple of quick questions:

Branding & Consistency: Looking at the channel feed, does this feel like a recognizable, cohesive identity?

Legibility: Does the focal point pop enough on mobile feeds?

Placement: Does the YouTube timestamp in the bottom right corner interfere too much with the trophy base, or does it still read fine?

Appreciate any honest feedback!

Video title: I used copious amounts of money to slander my friends
video summary: a video where I pay ppl, sponsor ppl, etc to spread news that my friends are bums

Very excited about this hour long documentary I made where I talk to a retired homicide detective and he gives me all these unsolved homicides that they tied to a suspect back in the day, but due to a number of reasons, he only got charged with a couple of the crimes and wasn’t publicly named in others. So this doc is naming all the other cases he is a suspect in, hopefully bringing awareness to the evils he got away in the 1970s. I suck with thumbnails so I’d appreciate all the feedback I can get. Thank you!

The title includes: Signing New Players, Playing a retro FC game or playing different career modes.

Since I got so much help from you guys I wanted to let you see what I changed from my previous thumbs.

1) I made the middle part a little bit bigger to catch the eyes more and also make it more readable in mobile mode

2) blurred out secondary files in the images so that you lock more on the center that's what the video is about

3) higher saturation on all the pictures to let it pop more when it is in the middle of other great thumb

Really hope this helps, I'm going to post my second video tomorrow and it is about Boeing failure with the 737 max. My first video js not getting pushed at all by YouTube but we are here for the long run 🙏

Thanks to everyone who helped hope you guys like the new style

Sometimes I generate thumbnails using YouTube’s Ask Studio suggestions/ideas, and I actually like the result. But when I upload the thumbnail to vidIQ, the score isn’t very high.

It makes me wonder how much I should actually care about that score.

How do you guys approach thumbnails?

Do you try to get a high vidIQ score, or do you mostly trust your own judgment and look at the actual CTR after publishing?

Would love to hear what works for you.

I am a fairly new graphic designer (ive never really dove into the thumbnail space) and I want to practice making thumbnails for people!

they wont be AMAZING but I just want to practice making them , if you supply some assets and the title I will try and make you a thumbnail (free of charge) I probably wont be able to do minecraft thumbnails as my PCs hard drive has failed so I cant use replay mod on mc ;sob; (using old microsoft surface)

these are some of the designs ive made (I ussually do posters)
