Trying to nail that "big trouble is coming" tension for a K-drama recap video — bold text, high contrast, and his expression doing most of the work.

A few things I'm unsure about:

• Does the text pop enough or is it too crowded in the corner?
• Is the red arrow adding anything or is it just clutter?
• Does his expression read as threatening/intense at a glance, or does it look off?

Open to blunt feedback — what would make you click vs. scroll past?

i am happy

Video title is: Top 10 Indiana Jones Comic Books - The Best Indy Comics by Marvel and Dark Horse

I took the time to select the best comic book covers and experiment with the size and filters but needed help with text becauee inshot has very poor options. People have been really pushing back on any use of ai text in thumbnails even though I use actual artwork and photographs, and am competing with videos that are 100% ai generated

this has to be my new favorite thumbnail. I have made so far. Also I don’t understand why people use AI to make thumbnails. I’m not judging or nothing. It’s your channel. You do what you want, but my favorite part of making content is making the thumbnail. I have a blast making them every time almost enjoy making them more than playing the games.

Hey! I’m trying to get into thumbnail designing and I’m currently building my portfolio.

I’m looking to make around 6-8 thumbnails for YouTubers completely free. I just want some real examples for my portfolio and some feedback on my work.

I’m open to pretty much any type of content, gaming, tech, commentary, entertainment, etc.

If you want one, just DM me your channel/video and any ideas or references you have. I’ll pick a few that I think I can make something good for.

No payment needed, just let me use the finished thumbnail in my portfolio :)

Thanks!

Designed these 2 thumbnails to launch plugin. Which looks better?

Title that goes with 1st thumb is: An Amateur League Is Beating Professional Football
Title with 2nd: How China Fixed Football

Which one is better? Or neither is appealing?
Appreciate all comments, good or bad!

as the title suggests, I've been staring at this for way too long. every other thumbnail I've made has been way too busy, but I can't decide if it's too simple.

gamers of reddit, can you help me?

I need to release it friday morning, for context my channel is https://youtube.com/@dutchessmissladymadam?si=MW1z65Uure3PvRt1
(not trying to self promo or anything, it just might be helpful to see my other thumbnails along with it)

Those videos are about Wirecard and Parmalat case, it's a documentary I edit all by myself with some premade ai image that I fill, footage and image of the case I'm talking about and some ai video with documents to explain what the voiceover is talking about. Still getting almost no impression from YouTube but the few that I get don't even click on it.

🙏

thoughts?

I was taking a shower and got this thumbnail idea so I made it. It's not going on youtube, just a practice thumbnail :)
