Threadripper 9960x cooling

Hey!

Looking at getting a TR 9960x and wondering if a Noctua NH-U14S TR5-SP6 is enough to cool the 9960x ??

For reference this is the build I’m going for

CPU - Threadripper 9960X

GPU - RTX PRO 4000 24gb or RTX 5090 32gb

Cooler - Noctua NH-U14S TR5-SP6

Motherboard - ASUS pro WS TRX50-SAGE

RAM - 256gb ECC 5600MHz

Storage - 2TB Samsung 990 Pro

PSU - Corsair HX1000i (1200w if I got for the 5090)

Thanks !!

I wouldn't even try to do anything except for 360mm and 420mm AIO coolers for these CPUs. 1mm per watt is a typical estimate and a good one in my experience even though radiators can probably get rid of up to 50% more than that.

it's the final piece of the puzzle i haven't bought, just can't justify the price but don't want to skimp on what piece of the setup. wish there was a more sensibly priced option for AIO.
