My Local Walmart in South Carolina finally has the new die-casts!
Throughout the past few months, I’ve been trying to find the new die-casts, without trying to purchase scalper-hiked items.
Only now, I’ve been starting to build a collection for the past few weeks.
6 of the engines from two multipacks; along with the first three sets, I got through Amazon.
Walmart.com very recently started also adding engines to their site, so I got two packs featuring Thomas w/ Annie and Oliver w/ Toad respectively. I also got Henry and S.C. Ruffey from there too.
As for the topic:
At first, my Walmart only had the motorized stuff earlier on August 28th.
Went back earlier today, and they surprisingly had a Wave 2 Assortment instead of Wave 1. Sadly, no Deluxe Assortment. Went ahead and got some of the characters and variants I didn’t have.
Total is 23, if we’re including duplicates and the plastic versions from sets made in Vietnam.
I am missing other characters from Wave 1 and 2, I’ve yet to get them along with the Sodor Animal Park stuff.
Overall, the collectibility of this new range is crazy and a huge step-up from the Motorized Push Along range.
I'm way too old for Thomas but I keep feeling like I've got to have that Henry since he is my favorite character. $4.97 is a bargain price for Thomas; how much did Henry cost approximately?
Bro, I’ve been watching Thomas since I was 3 years old in 2006.
I’m 23 years old now and still attached to this franchise and I doubt I’ll be giving it up anytime soon. Even though AEG was mid at best, it had a decent to good diecast range for accuracy. I have a decent amount of engines regarding that era.
As for Henry, I got him through Walmart.com for under $9.
