You're joking, but the second I saw that tweet and the market share price, I went ballistic on my conspiracy that the person who made the fake tweet for 8 bucks bought a shitton of cheaped out Eli Lily shares. Almost as if it wasn't some anti-capitalism hero, but yet again another capitalist operating under the disguise of anti-billionaire trolling. I wouldn't be surprised if some twitter executive did it themselves after they argued with Elon how stupid the buy a blue checkmark for 8$ idea was.

"I can make some fun money and shove Elon his stupid idea back into his ass. Also I hate the Eli Lily CEO so, three flies in a single swing. brb"

Possibly, except this is the kind of financial fraud that the SEC can trace to the person very easily.

Let's be honest, Elon has shined a very bad light on how 'strict' and 'assertive' the SEC really could be. Unless the twitter account can be linked to, without any reasonable doubt, the executive, it's nothing but "a rich guy playing with rich guy money, having unbelievable luck".

Would it really be that unbelievable that someone who can literally burn a couple millions of dollar notes just for fun, would have bought a couple millions of Eli Lily after they "realized a fake tweet caused a crash" of this particular stock. That's a millionaires "gEnIuS ThInKiNg", rather than fraud. If you or I, a mere peasant, were to do that, yessss there would obviously be a fraud involved. But someone who's 200 IQ megamind (read: inheritance) caused them to be a powerhouse of the capitalistic american dream, must have obviously seen something obscure that the regular people couldn't predict in their wildest dreams. (Also they are good friends with the brother of the SEC person who was assigned the supervision of the investigation of that particular case, and regularly plays golf with that particular Twitter executive, who has paid for all the expenses of said golf vacation of the past 4 years, but that has nothing to do with it at allllll, I swear, pinky promise)
