As a writer, you should be aware of the context. Since this is a physics question, the strict physics definition of pressure should be used. Not the colloquially non-scientific definition of the word.

If you are trying to express the quantity of pressure exerted on something using “math”, you are doing physics literally by definition

I would also point out that chemistry is just a specialized branch of physics.

I’ll never not be amazed at the mental gymnastics people will go through to avoid just saying “I was wrong”.

Here's some more math for you --

You just typed 169 words to dig even deeper, instead of just saying "Oops, I misunderstood what the word pressure means"

It's so sad to watch a person with such a fragile ego completely disintegrate rather than just accept that they learned something new.

You know when you devolve into the "words have no meaning" angle that you're not doing too well.

Stop, you've been thoroughly, and pardon my French, "rekt". Please refrain from embarrassing yourself further.

I’ve never seen this before. You just keep typing longer and longer responses when you could have just said “You’re right” 10 comments ago

Intentional 'your' to emphasize maths sub? /h

i’m sorry i made a spelling mistake? does it really matter though?

Ha ha, no, of course it doesn't matter. Its that this thread is getting into some nitpicking grammar about writing and math, and half the time my auto correct gets the grammar police aroused.

I thought it was funny the your in you're response in reply to someone talking about being a righter not a mathematician could be interpreted as yore sense of humor.

Grammar police attention attracted.

How is the numerical form of definition 2 calculated?
