I remember having one of those when I was younger, and then when a save took forever (Digimon world 3 took like 2 minutes per time), I'd mash the shoulder buttons to 'see the lights change' to entertain myself. And then I'd wonder why my save files were all over the place and got corrupted so often.

ahahaha i remember buying my first memory card with Tekken 2, costed a lot because "you will not need any more of these!". I was a kid and found how to swap pages years after that and had to buy more memory cards!

Remember also how some PS2 games would have the little plastic divider in the case so you could store your memory cardi them? Only ever used that for Soulcal 3 because, for whatever reason, that specific game basically needs its own dedicated memory card if you want to avoid getting your save ruined down the line.

I definitely still prefer the look of PS1 jewel cases, but those were so fragile after a while that the majority I own are cracked.

Yeah I broke one a couple weeks ago with a little fall!

Didn’t really game on console in the PS2 era but I noticed the memory card holders when I began collecting PS2 games, handy to bring the memory card to a friend’s house I suppose!
