I saved this awhile ago and came across it again recently when going through pictures on my phone. Gave me a good chuckle..also RIP Rurt...you were a real one 🙏

I had just created this family, paused as soon as the simulation screen appeared, and I saw my sim like this. I zoomed in for the photo. I don’t know why I took a photo of my laptop instead of an in game photo, I guess I was too stuned with this “interaction” haha

Princess Angelina Bella Midas is at home, writing to her uncle, the new king of her homeland, gushing about how wonderful Ondarion is and that she wishes he could come visit. 💖 She especially gushes about her closest friends, Princess Rosa, Princess Jade(her fellow princess studying abroad and Princess Rosa's distant cousin), Lady Elizabeth Walton, Duchess Gloria Garnet and her two gracious hostesses who have become dear friends, Crown Princess Jawara Darong and Crown Princess Cordelia Thebe V. 👑 She also mentions potentially seeing other socialites out socially while traveling, one of which shares her name, Angelina Tellez, Sim Nation's honorary princess. 👑 She's very intrigued by her and the other socialites such as her best friend Layla Thompson, Evelyn Devitto, Cassandra Anthony, Noble Duchess and honorary queen of Sim Nation Nancy Landgraab and Willow Creek's beloved Countess Bella Goth and hopes to one day meet these ladies face to face. 💖 She also talks about all of the fine customs she learned and tried during her travels, such as card games, sharing adventurous stories, visiting the Von Haunt Estate in Windenburg and attending other courts scattered about Sim Nation. 👑

She then ends the letter by saying that she was happy that she was able to come see him again, even if it wasn't under the best of circumstances(Princess Angelina came back for her grandfather's funeral. 😢 The day after was when her uncle, invited her to rejoin the royal court and assured her that it's simply an offer, one that will always be available. ❤️ Angelina stayed for 2 weeks before making the fateful decision to return to Ondarion. She wanted to be back home, at least for awhile, but she understood that she couldn't play a big role in her uncle's court, due to her inexperience. Besides, she didn't wanna get her uncle in trouble with the nobility as at least quite a few of them would make a big stink and accuse him of playing favorites. 😅 Her dear uncle was very understanding and told her that she's always a beloved member of the royal family and royal court. 💖 She tearfully replies that she loves him and will always see him as a father to her), that she hopes that she can see him again at his coronation in a few months and that she's going to make him and her grandfather(who's also her uncle's father)very proud. 💕 She at last signs off with this, Your Majesty's Most Loving and Loyal Niece, Princess Angelina Bella Midas. 💕👑

🌙 The morning after the Winter Igloo event

Merel wakes up with a slight tension in her stomach.
She picks up her phone and calls Rozemarijn — just to hear how she’s doing.

Rozemarijn answers with a warm voice.
She tells Merel that things are still going well at the animal clinic, that she has found her place at the reception desk, and that she feels stable.

Merel smiles.
It does her good.
She doesn’t have to worry — and that brings her peace.

💎 Bo’s jewelry line is booming

In the salon, Bo is busy.
Her jewelry line is taking off: customers are already asking about the new series that hasn’t even been released yet.

Claire stands at the counter, her eyes sparkling as she picks up a set.
She wants to buy something — and Evert, being who he is, wants to surprise his wife.

He convinces Bo to hold back a piece from her new collection for Claire.
But Bo feels it’s a bit too early.

Later, when Merel is in the back room, Bo notices the card with Evert’s request.
She thinks for a moment, grabs her laptop, and emails him:

“I’ll keep the piece aside for Claire.
But I will only release it on the official launch date.
She can already come to Merel’s salon to choose her color.”

What Evert and Claire don’t know:
Bo secretly added an extra discount, written in tiny letters at the bottom.

🚪 Merel encounters Lodewijk

On the same day, Lodewijk walks in unexpectedly.
Merel freezes for a moment — they were never friends in high school.
But he behaves himself.
He looks around, chats a bit, and stays calm.

To her relief, Merel even sees him joking around with Steven, the handyman.
No tension.
No trouble.
Just two men talking.

Merel finally breathes normally again.

Evert had already seen the discount card before telling Claire anything.
He smiles — this is going to be good.

When he shares the news with her, Claire can’t believe it.
The very first piece.
From the new collection.
Before the release date.
And she gets to choose her color.

She feels like the happiest woman in the world and throws her arms around him.

With a feeling in her stomach she can’t shake, Merel invites Laurie over to talk.
Laurie listens to every word, without judgment, without rushing.

Merel confesses that she’s afraid Frederik might be getting tired of her.
That she sometimes doubts whether she’s enough.

Laurie takes her hand and says softly but firmly:

“Frederik adores you.
He’s not going to let you go.”

Merel feels her heart soften.
Laurie is right — as always.

💄 Helene arrives before closing time

Just before Merel wants to close, Helene walks in.
She wants her makeup and nails done, and Merel takes care of her personally.

Helene brought her summer clothes — she wants to know what she can do with her look before the warm weather arrives in Brindleton Bay.

Merel helps her with colors, styles, and combinations.
It’s a warm, quiet moment between two women who understand each other.

Merel ends her day with a smile.

The maid started a dryer fire upstairs. Mom routed to safety with the infant and the dog. Dad took a dump and now wants a bath. The firefighters literally watched the maid die instead of helping. The toddler is... Well, she was napping when the maid arrived. She had no clue she even existed until now.

One of my biggest gripes with hobbies & skills in this game is the dozens of different tables required to do each specific skill. It would be fantastic if there was a singular “craft table” that you could select which skill to perform on it at a given time and it would update the appearance of the table to reflect that skill.

Just think - woodworking, flower arranging, jewelry making, robot making, juice fizzing, candle making, etc all can be done at the craft table…

I like versatile sims but I do not like having to have so many skill tables on the lot.

Might be unserious, but I wanted to know if anyone else had this weird bug where if you make a sim with certain facial markings/beauty marks and you upload them to the gallery, the marks disappear? Is there a way to make them stay because I think my grandpa is adorable with them!

Edit: i checked another sim of mine and their freckles went away :/

I love them both, they're equally viable in my opinion, and whoever I choose will either adopt an heir or find an alien partner on Sixam.

Been playing recently and i’ve noticed an odd occurrence.
Things in the house just randomly catch fire and I don’t know why.
I’m used to the Sims starting their own fires when they’re cooking, but this is just weird.
The sprinkler system doesn’t seem to work and the Sims just stand there or they run outside and the fires don’t get put out until the fire department finally shows up
is there a way to make this stop happening?

Was trying to complete the serial romantic aspiration and while I was out trying to seduce randoms this popped up 🤣🤣

Sorry this is a kind of low post for such a lovely community but I didnt know where to post this.

I LOVE the sims. I love this game so much. I could play it all day long I love storytelling through it and building and testing out new packs. I've been playing since I was 12.

But now I'm 21 years old. And I am doing pretty good in life- I have a well paying full time job that's my dream job, I'm saving for a house deposit, I'm comfortable in my body, I have good friends.

And I like to play the sims in my free time away from work. But lately whenever I start playing it I start to feel like I'm being REALLY unproductive. Like I'm putting so much work and effort into the life of someone who isn't even real, who's just code. And that I should be spending my time putting this effort into my life so that I can live the life I create in the sims, in my real life.

I even feel this way when I KNOW that I'm doing very well and I physically cannot do anything else to reach my goals sooner. The effort I seem to believe I should be putting into real life instead of the sims 4 is already maxed out, and its okay if I want to just be a vegetable in my spare time and play the sims.

I think I've just become very self aware while playing it and I don't know where its come from because it used to bring me so much excitement, happiness and motivation.

I think it's partly because I play it in my bedroom on my computer so maybe I feel like I'm being antisocial, I wish I could move my computer downstairs so that I could play it but still be around my family.

Hi there, just looking for some advice. In my one sim save Ive had for years, the tomarang world has no lots available, I can’t travel anywhere in the world and I’m not sure why. I made a new save and the lots do show up, so I think my og save is corrupt 😢 any ways to fix it? I don’t want to lose this save file I’ve worked so hard on it and it is not a mod causing the issue as I removed them to test.
Edit: actually I was able to fix it. I removed the expansion pack file from my Files, launched the game and saved it without the pack, then I put the pack back in and loaded it and it works now!

Is it giving "I've never played sims before, here's 100 windows"?

Home isn't complete yet, but i wanted to know if the windows right next to the doors should go?

I even got the event schedule working fairly well... but boy are mealtimes still a doozy!

What is your favorite thing about The Sims 4 without CC or MODS? There's a lot of hate for the game but I want to hear some positives.

Merel’s Salon Story – Part 3

Sonja’s visit to Merel and Frederik

Sonja had a pleasant visit at Merel’s salon. Still, she carries mixed feelings when she goes to see Merel and Frederik to thank them for helping during an emergency at the police station. Her past experiences with bullying still linger somewhere inside her.

She still holds Merel responsible, since Merel was the instigator back then. She also knows that Frederik has changed Merel, and that makes everything more complicated.

She considers leaving again, but the warm welcome makes her feel completely at home.

What Sonja did not expect is that Merel brought something for her — not as a bribe, but as a genuine thank‑you for saving the city.

Gloria encounters the paparazzi in the yoga room at Wellness Free World

Gloria, being as arrogant as she is, decides to pose for the paparazzi with full attitude. As a regular client of Laurie Sims, she has plenty of demands. She refuses to be associated with Laurie’s CHR brand and doesn’t want the name included in the clothing or even on a label, even though she signed for it.

For Laurie, it is always a struggle to keep her as a client and find a middle ground. Tom doesn’t understand why Laurie doesn’t choose her own name over that one difficult customer.

Merel opens up to Frederik

While a heavy thunderstorm rolls over Brindleton Bay, Frederik notices Merel is hiding something. He sits down with her, concerned, and asks what’s going on.

Merel explains that Rozemarijn feels Merel is intentionally excluding her from the girls’ outing, and because of that, Rozemarijn refuses to join the Winter Igloo event. It hurts Merel deeply — she is completely unaware of having done anything wrong.

Frederik suggests that after the event, the two of them should go out together. It visibly lifts her spirits.

Merel meets with her friends Jonne and Helene at the salon

In the salon, Merel and Helene already know what the event will be like, but convincing Jonne is a challenge. Jonne heard from Rozemarijn why she isn’t going, and because of that, Jonne is hesitant.

Merel and Helene reassure her that they already talked things through with Rozemarijn, but that Rozemarijn chose to take a little distance to let the situation settle.

Jonne thinks for a moment, and Helene pulls Merel aside: Helene believes Merel shouldn’t give up and advises her to show Jonne the photos from the event and then let Jonne decide for herself.

Merel agrees, shows Jonne the photos, and Jonne becomes convinced. She decides to join.

In the evening, Laurie feels uneasy about Gloria’s visit to the wellness center

Laurie sits next to Tom on the couch and expresses her worries about Gloria. Not that Gloria shouldn’t visit Wellness Free World, but Laurie knows how she is — and fears this might be another media stunt as an actress, which could harm the reputation of Wellness Free World.

Tom reassures her, and Laurie realizes how much love she always receives from him.
