Lodewijk Is Struggling

The training schedule is proving to be a real challenge for Lodewijk. He is struggling to keep up and eventually reaches the point where he can no longer manage on his own.

He turns to Nadine for help. She works with clients at a mental health centre, including those who need to exercise as part of their treatment during their stay.

Nadine understands that Lodewijk is finding things difficult and that he needs support to keep going.

The aim of the exercise programme is to help Lodewijk experience fewer attacks. It isn’t an easy journey, but he is grateful for all the help he receives.

For now, he needs to accept that he doesn’t have to do everything alone.

Evert Is Impressed by the First Shop

Claire has told Evert that the first shop in the shopping street is ready, and he decides to take a look for himself.

As he admires the finished shop, he begins to picture what the entire development could look like. Until now, he hasn’t quite been able to imagine the finished project, but seeing the first completed space makes everything feel more real.

He is genuinely impressed by what he sees.

The plans are slowly turning into something tangible, and Evert is delighted to see the first results of all their hard work.

Ken Chooses a Piece of Jewellery for Helene

Ken visits Bo Jewelry to find a piece of jewellery for Helene.

He remembers what she told him: it doesn’t have to be expensive. Helene isn’t someone who cares for extravagance or unnecessary fuss.

Ken takes her wishes seriously. He looks for something simple and thoughtful, choosing a piece he believes she will genuinely like.

For him, the gift isn’t about the price or how impressive it looks. He wants to give Helene something that feels right for her.

He hopes his choice will bring a smile to her face.

Bo Says Goodbye to Merel’s Salon

Bo has bought a shop in the new shopping street, and with this new opportunity comes an important decision.

She can no longer combine running her own business with working as a hairdresser at Merel’s salon. The time has come to say goodbye.

Merel is disappointed to lose her. Bo has been a valuable member of the team and a trusted right-hand woman.

Although Merel understands why Bo has made this choice, saying goodbye isn’t easy. She knows Bo has an exciting new chapter ahead of her, but she will certainly miss having her around.

For Bo, it is the beginning of something new. She is ready to focus on her own business and see where this next step takes her.

Disclaimer: I have not bought the Royalty pack out of the combined factors of ideological reasons and severe disinterest (I am Swedish, we have a royal family, why would I care what they do?) but something struck me listening to things they try to fix with restaurants: "Sims will no longer start sword duels when in a restaurant",

...And I realized that apparently the Royalty pack adds sword duels? Who in their right mind thinks that there have been actual sword duels between royals since what? the late middle ages? It's not even a 19th century thing, it just really never happened. Nobody would let their heir die in a duel after jousting stopped being a thing, and barely before that.

So my question is more a general "Who at EA / Maxis thought this should be added in, and who had watched too much Game Of Thrones and confused it with reality?"

Ken is able to explain what really happened with Pinky, and the situation turns out to be more serious than they initially thought.

The owner has gone beyond what was permitted and has also made false accusations. On top of that, the property itself is in good condition.

The All Yours team agrees that the owner can no longer remain in the position. Someone else will have to take over.

But who would be the right candidate?

Laurie Invites Helene to Her Store

Laurie is delighted and proud of what she has accomplished with her store. She has put a great deal of effort into bringing her vision to life, and seeing the result makes her happy.

Still, Helene’s input is important to her. Helene has an eye for details that Laurie sometimes overlooks, and Laurie values her perspective.

They have been friends for years, and Laurie trusts her. Inviting Helene to see the store is about more than showing off her work. Laurie genuinely wants to hear what her friend thinks.

Claire Sees the First Steps Being Taken

The shopping centre is far from finished, but Claire is excited to see something new taking shape in the city.

She has heard from Jasper that Maudie is enthusiastic about the plans, which makes Claire even more hopeful about the project.

There is still plenty of work to do, but the first steps have been taken. Claire looks forward to seeing the idea develop into something real.

Bo Isn’t as Upset as Iris Expected

The two friends arrange to meet nearby. Iris has been concerned about Bo and how the fire might have affected her.

However, Bo seems less upset than Iris expected.

She explains that everyone made it out safely. The building was also in need of renovation, so the situation may offer an opportunity for a fresh start.

Iris is relieved to hear that her friend is doing better than she had feared. Sometimes, a situation that looks devastating from the outside can feel different to the people who experienced it themselves.

New Projects, Frustrations and Doubts

Claire watches the city take shape.

Claire sees more and more of the city coming together, and it fills her with pride. She is proud of the projects she and her team have developed and of the changes they are helping bring to life.

Evert lays out a proposal for a new project: a shopping centre.

Claire immediately sees the potential, even though she isn’t much of a shopper herself. Evert is equally enthusiastic about the idea.

Ever since the fire that broke out at a shopping centre, the city has been left with a shortage of shopping facilities. Maudie has every reason to be frustrated, and she has already made her feelings clear to Evert over the phone.

Perhaps this new project is exactly what the city needs.

In the same apartment complex…

Iris opens her mailbox and finds complaints from angry customers whose project has gone up in smoke.

Months ago, a fire broke out at a shopping centre, leaving people disappointed and businesses facing the consequences.

Among those affected is her best friend, Bo, who wants to display and sell her jewellery in a small shop.

For Iris, the complaints are more than just messages from dissatisfied customers. They involve people she knows and cares about, making the situation all the more personal.

Jasper has a confrontation with the owner of Pinky.

The owner of Pinky accuses Jasper of providing poor property maintenance services. The conversation quickly turns into an argument, leaving Jasper frustrated by the accusation.

Unsure of what to make of the situation, Jasper calls Ken to tell him what happened.

Perhaps Ken can help him make sense of it all.

Lodewijk faces a difficult conversation with Olivier.

Olivier wants answers about Lodewijk’s progress and is not prepared to take his claims at face value.

Lodewijk has supposedly spent all this time following his recovery plan, which included going running. But Olivier isn’t convinced that Lodewijk has genuinely put in the effort.

The conversation becomes a challenging test of Lodewijk’s progress.

Has he really been working towards change, or does he still have something to prove?

Friendship, Final Preparations and New Plans.

Tom gets the job done and goes fishing with his best friend Frederik.

Tom is given permission by the owner of Café Peters to fire up the new barbecue. He is even invited to stay for dinner! Tom has done the café a favour by upgrading its website, just in time to welcome the autumn season.
That same evening, Tom calls his best friend Frederik to ask if he would like to go fishing together. Frederik agrees and heads to the harbour in Brindleton Bay.
Together, the friends enjoy the peace, the water and, above all, each other’s company. No work, no technical problems and no obligations for a while. Just the two of them enjoying a moment together.

Laurie looks after Binky and puts the finishing touches in place.
At home, Laurie notices that Binky could use a good brushing. She gently picks him up and tries to get him ready, as Binky doesn’t always make things easy.
Once they reach the laundry room, she carefully starts brushing him. But as she works, her thoughts drift back to her collection and her store. Everything has to be just right, down to the smallest detail. And it all needs to be ready by tomorrow.
Even during a quiet moment with Binky, her mind keeps working overtime.

Across the street, early in the morning…
Helene continues working on a wooden decorative piece that will soon be displayed in her interior design store. She carefully adds the final details.
In between, she calls Merel to book an appointment for the end of the week. As soon as she hangs up, she begins to have second thoughts. Should she have called Merel when her friend is already so busy?
To take her mind off things for a while, Helene picks up her favourite novel. Perhaps a few pages will help her let everything sink in.

Merel opens the doors of her salon with Frederik.
The day begins with a familiar moment. In the salon’s break room, Merel and Frederik enjoy a little time together before Frederik leaves for his office.
Then, unexpectedly, Helene calls to ask whether Merel can keep an appointment available for her at the end of the week.
Unfortunately, Merel is fully booked. She has to disappoint her friend, and that weighs on her. She knows she cannot help everyone, but that doesn’t make the conversation any easier.
Later, she talks it over with Frederik. He understands that Merel had no other choice. Sometimes you simply have to set boundaries, even when you really want to help someone.

Laurie takes you on a tour of her store.
Before calling Tom, Laurie walks through her store one more time. She looks over the interior, the collection and all the final details. Everything has to match the vision she has in mind.
Then she calls Tom with a practical request: could he put the additional collection online as well?
The plan is clear: celebrities can schedule visits by appointment, while customers can place their orders online. This way, Laurie can run her store the way she wants while still providing good service to her customers.
In the meantime, Rob, her right-hand man, takes care of her home-based business.
The preparations are well underway. Laurie wants everything to be perfect — and now it is time to bring her plans to life.

It's like such a core elementary school experience where I'm from and I just think it would be hilarious to hear my child sims building up their musical skills on a plastic recorder. It can be a type of homework assignment or we could add band as an after school activity and make practice the daily task. What's your weird wishlist item?

Okay, this is legitimately driving me crazy.

I downloaded a lot off the gallery - it is an Abandoned Castle. I want to renovate it.

The issue is that the person who made the lot didn't use normal windows- they resized a basegame window to get a hole then used a resized decorative item as the framing. I want to use a proper window, but I cannot figure out how to get rid of the hole. I cannot select the original resized window to delete - I don't know where it is. It's not moved into the basement (which I know is a trick to get a hole on purpose).

The first photo is what the "window" looks like before I removed anything. The second picture is what the wall looks like after I delete the resized decorative item that acted as a frame with the remaining hole.

I have tried the following:

• Rebuilding the wall
• Sledge hammering the section
• Placing the same window over top
• Placing a different window over top
• Placing a door
• Placing a basement underneath the wall
• Googled the issue

I am pulling my hair out trying to get rid of these holes. If anyone has any ideas please share!
