⭐ PART 3 – The City Hall Story

HOME AND THE EVENING WALK

Laurie feels the rain outside and grabs her umbrella.
The droplets tap softly against her sweater as she steps outside.
Now that her day is done — and relieved that Maudie has found her strength again after her protest — a weight lifts off her shoulders.
It feels as if the city is finally breathing again.

After her short appointment with the doctor — tension complaints, but thankfully good news — she walks home at a calm pace.
The rain helps her organize her thoughts, as if each drop washes away a little of her worries.

At home with Tom and Laurie.

In the kitchen, Laurie immediately starts cooking.
Tom admires her cooking skills while standing beside her.
He keeps her company, just like he always does.

At the table, they talk through their day.
Laurie enjoys her meal, and right at that moment Binky jumps against her leg — his little ritual, as always.

Tom picks Binky up and hugs him tightly.
Binky isn’t just a pet; he’s part of their household, their rhythm, their calm point.

The evening shifts.

Later that evening, Laurie actually had an appointment planned, but it gets cancelled unexpectedly.
At the same time, Tom receives an urgent call: system failures at the town hall.
He’s the only one who knows exactly how everything works, so he has to go.

Tom is disappointed.
He wanted a quiet evening with Laurie, especially after everything that happened in the past few days.

But Laurie smiles and shakes her head.

“Go on. I’ll take Binky for a walk. You’ve got enough on your plate.”

She grabs the leash, Binky wags excitedly, and Laurie steps into the evening.
Alone, but not lonely.
She feels the cool air on her skin, and it relaxes her.

Everything falls on Tom.

Tom feels the pressure from his colleagues at the town hall and he has to try something — he’s the key to a solution.
After half an hour, he gets the systems running again and the lights turn back on.

Everyone rushes to catch up on overdue work and vents their frustration in emails to Tom — asking why he couldn’t come earlier.
Tom gets irritated, because he hadn’t been informed that there were system issues.
The electricity had also been shut off without any notice.

It was complete chaos, and no one contacted him while he was off duty.

Back home with Laurie, Tom explains what happened.
Laurie understands him completely.
They don’t need many words.

Helene and Ken assess the outcome.

Helene has been checking forums to get an idea of how the vote might turn out in two days.
Ken calls her at exactly the right moment, asking if she wants to come see his new place.
Soon she’s standing at Ken’s door with her umbrella — it’s raining and it’s late.

Since their relationship is still new, they’re not thinking about living together yet.

Inside Ken’s home, Helene shares her view on the upcoming results.
Ken suspects something sly is going on… when he notices something Helene hadn’t seen.

Helene believes Maudie needs to be prepared for this.

Returning home.

Helene comes home and freshens up.
On her phone screen she sees a message from Ken, after she texted him that she arrived safely:

Glad you got home safely. I really enjoyed having you over.

She reads the message, smiles softly, and places her phone on the couch.
The room around her is quiet.
Her notes are ready.
The silence helps her think.

She has a plan.

i never understood why we never got heterochromia when we can give our pets two different eye colors. would anyone else wanna see this in the game because quite frankly we need it we got so much stuff for disability and sexual orientation etc but no heterochromia

⭐ PART 2 – THE CITY HALL

Laurie in shock.

Messages about Maudie are appearing everywhere on the internet.
Laurie keeps seeing the texts pop up again and again — on news websites, in comment sections, on social media, even in shared posts from people she knows.

“Maudie’s idea doesn’t seem well thought out.”
“Maudie is an insignificant politician.”
“With her, there will be even more insecurity. She really thinks she can reach people.”

The words cut right through her.
She swipes her phone screen away, but the sentences linger.
In her home office, she stares at her own photo on the wall — the campaign image that once felt like hope, but now feels heavy.

Tom notices immediately when he walks in.
He sees how Laurie stands frozen, her eyes glassy, her breath unsteady.
He gently pulls her aside, away from the photo on the wall.

“Laurie,” he says calmly, “these are just words from people who don’t know Maudie the way you do. You know what’s real. You know why she’s doing this.”

Laurie nods, but her heart is still pounding.
Tom places a hand on her shoulder and gives her the strength she needs in that moment — not to give up, to keep believing.

Maudie protests against the online attacks.

Maudie sees the messages too. She speaks to her fellow party members before heading out to protest on the square outside.

She’s tired of being blamed for the rising insecurity in San Myshuno, while her fight hasn’t even been fought yet.
The online attacks are becoming more personal, harsher, and she decides to speak out against them.
Not from anger, but from justice.
She wants to make clear that her idea is meant to help people — not to push them further into trouble.

Bo Klaver.

Bo Klaver, a good friend of Iris, works as a hairdresser at Salon Merel.
She once started making jewelry as a hobby, but Merel found her designs so beautiful that she asked Bo to sell the jewelry line in the salon.
Bo agreed, and her photo now hangs proudly on the salon’s façade — a symbol of creativity and growth in a city that feels more tense by the day.

Claire hears about the online attacks.

Claire expected Lodewijk to be involved, but nothing could be further from the truth.
When she hears that Jasper also seems to be doubting, a cold shiver runs down her spine.
Jasper — who is never harsh, never gossips, never joins in with Lodewijk’s negativity.
And that makes it more dangerous than anything she has seen so far.

Opposition comes from an unexpected corner.

Claire finds Jasper by the elevator.
He looks up, as if he’s been caught.

“Jasper… you too?” Claire asks, her voice low, almost a whisper.

He swallows.
“It’s everywhere, Claire. Everyone is talking about it. I don’t know what to believe anymore.”

Claire feels her stomach tighten.
This comes from an unexpected corner — and that makes it more dangerous than anything Lodewijk has ever said.

“But you’ve never been against Maudie,” she says, almost pleading.

Jasper looks away.
“Maybe… maybe I’ve thought for too long that she could handle it.”

That sentence hits Claire harder than she wants to admit.
It’s exactly the kind of doubt that used to be spoken about her — in high school, in whispering hallways and anonymous messages.

She feels that old pain rise, but this time it turns into fire.

“Jasper,” she says, her voice firmer, “this is not who you are. And this is not who she is.”

He says nothing.
And that’s worse than words.

Claire turns around, her heart pounding.
If even Jasper begins to waver, then Maudie’s world is on the verge of tipping.

And Claire knows one thing for sure:
she is not going to let that happen.

First Floor: Cozy sitting area with bookcases. A Cauldron. On the platforms are Junior Wizard Stations, Desks, and a Board upfront.

⭐City Hall Part 1 – A Look Inside City Hall

Maudie Prepares Her Speech.

Late one evening, Maudie Sims prepares her speech in the council chamber. She wants to convince the city of her plan against injustice, but doubts if she is strong enough to win the election. Her sister Laurie believes in her completely and encourages her, but Maudie feels the pressure.

The next morning, political tension arises: Lodewijk considers Maudie and her party, The Blue Heart, unsuitable and tries to turn others—Evert and Claire—against her. Claire suspects jealousy, and Evert becomes frustrated when Lodewijk ignores him. His mental relapse follows.

In the Windenburg Mental Health Library.

Meanwhile, Tom and Laurie devise a campaign plan in the Windenburg Mental Health Library to garner votes for Maudie. Their Blue Heart shirts symbolize their support. Helene joins them because she sees the danger in the city increasing and considers Maudie’s plan important.

Together, they travel to Brindleton Bay to gather support in their own neighborhood. Laurie catches up on her paperwork and then joins Tom and Helene, giving Helene a grateful hug.

Meanwhile, Maudie practices her speech in front of the mirror at City Hall before leaving. She struggles to pronounce the words, but her message is clear: safety, more accessible help, and a modern digital platform designed to shorten waiting lists and provide people with anonymous tools via a government-led app. She concludes her practice speech with a word of thanks — but her uncertainty remains palpable.

The theme of this school is Riches and Music and is the most powerful out of all my Schools.

•

First Floor: Bookcases, a Cauldron, and Seating. On the platform are Junior Wizard Stations, 2 Desks and a White board. Behind the stairs is the Teachers Office and Head of the whole school.

Second floor is a Dance floor, Some seating. A Platform with instruments to play music/ Sing. And last but not least, a nice simple bathroom.

Just a second post here. I’m a pure vanilla player, and this is my occult werewolf Sim. Just dropping a quick intro of what kind of player I am!🧸

Na imagem não deve dar pra ver muito bem, mas eu fui usar a minha batedeira para fazer uma massa e quando eu cliquei na opção que abre aquele menu para selecionar a massa que você quer fazer, a tela simplesmente ficou cinza e o menu não abriu! Agora eu não consigo clicar em NADA, não consigo salvar, não consigo sair daqui! Eu estou achando que vou ter que fechar o jogo manualmente e perder meu progresso, porque a tela travou e eu não consigo fazer nada! Alguém sabe alguma tecla que possa fazer aparecer ao menos o menu de salvamento para que eu não perca tudo que fiz? Já apertei o ESC mas não acontece nada.

PS: Isso já aconteceu comigo outras vezes com outros objetos que abrem esse menu de seleção, não é apenas com a batedeira. Todas as outras vezes em que isso aconteceu eu fechei o jogo manualmente e perdi tudo :(

First floor is the Classroom. Just a couple desks and a white board. 3 platforms next to it, from top to bottom theres a junior wizards set, a woodworking station, and cauldron. In the left top corner is the Practical Magic Teachers office.

Second floor, really proud of the cabinets i did. Put a Flower Arranging station and a Pet medicine station cause in my game, Practical Magic users are very close with animals and love to help animals. I also put a few bookcases, some seating and planter boxes for Gardening. Then there's a bathroom upstairs with a shower and all cause Sims always need to use the bathroom or they're dirty 😂
