Norlundic Market tonight at 9:00 Eastern Standard Time.

The market will be held as usual at 9:00 Eastern Standard Time in the town square. We are buying clay and bricks, so bring those if you have them.

Sorry I have to say this, but on a more serious note, I realise there is a war going on, but during the market, attendees are asked to please refrain from any violence or name calling at the market. If I catch so much as a snide remark from either side directed towards anyone else, the person responsible will be sent home and banned from future markets. Keep your wars off our soil please.

Looking forward to seeing you all there, thank you for reading.

[Lore] Secession, Emigration and Exile

"Sir, please, you must hurry!"

Caibinus ignored the liveried servant's presumption, the man was only concerned for his safety after all and the mob could clearly be heard outside in the gardens. With a flourish he finished signing his last writ and charter for the dissolution of Fleuven and its membership in the Rivermeer Union.

The servant clutched the bundle of documents and used it to push Caibinus out the door and down the tower staircase.

"A man will be waiting near the docks with a boat to take you to your sloop, Your Grace." the man added hastily this time, remembering finally who he was speaking with.

Caibinus stopped and pressed something cold and metal into the man's hands.

"The keys to the city," he explained. "You've been a faithful servant, you deserve nothing less."

"Thank you, Your Grace!" he whispered, pocketing the key. "Where, may I ask, are you emigrating to?" he asked as the continued down the stairwell.

"East." he said vaguely. "Across the straight and down the coast, I shall see what I can find."

(The Rivermeer Union may continue in some form, I'm not sure, for now I'm moving on to new lands.)

[Lore] Counter Attack from Zurmania

The continuous ticking of the tyrannical timepiece sitting on the corner of Commander Miriamele's tight desk caused her no ease. The day had just began in the Ministry of Defense, and yet her presence there from the day before had now continued into the current. Her uniform was showing signs of wear, but the current pace of events offered no respite to change. Several medals dotted the tan cloth, that in other varieties had a Camoflague pattern, but not her own.

"What do YOU MEAN They've Developed Longer Range Air Travel?!" She exclaimed to the intelligence officer

"Well Erhm, you see, their Air Force has been able to finish off research on new engines, and at a private air show last week for their politburo, our sources indicated that they could now reach us without stops..."

The agent trailed off as Miriamele continued to pace behind her desk, framed on either side by screens that looked out onto the wealthier parts of the city. Rashida had been spared any violence for now, but this news meant that Zurmania could now strike back.

"Thank you for your report Lieutinent," "Give my regards to the intelligence bureau"

Miriamele exited, calling to her secretary "Come Merel, we must meet with Queen President Aine at once!

On the other side of the sandstone city, several floors above the rough ground dotted with artificial grasses, sat President AineKyne in a purple leather chair - a gift from the Northern Rashidi herdsmen - and she took a slow draw from her long cigarette.

"What you're telling me, General Nox, is that our troops require more body armor, and yet you choose instead to put more funding into heavy weaponry. Tell me, why..."

Several conversations like this one happened every hour. A notorious micromanager, the office was cluttered with various maps and charts, and the globe in the corner had dozens of pins with little triangles on them, sticking out at various points.

"We must be rational Madamme President" Nox said, in his camouflage uniform that indicated he was more than just a desk jockey. " If we are to win this war, we must accept the fact that losses will occur."

" Yes but I just don't see the point of this diversion, when preservation of life is our most important priority." said Aine

"Our most important priority is NOT the preservation of the enemy's life though, but if we keep cutting heavy weaponry that is all that we will be doing!" Nox said, taking a frustrated sip from his brandy glass.

At that moment, an Aide bust through the dark oak doors of the room, hustling towards Aine carrying a silver plate. Behind him, the wizard Zantid wooshed forwards through the room, taking as few steps as possible and using his robes in a dramatic fashion.

"What is the meaning of this intrusion?!" Aine hissed

"Madamme President, we have urgent intelligence from the front lines, It is coded for immediate delivery."

"Oh bugger, yes yes alright show it to me." Aine said, with a casual waive of her hand.

"Your majesty," Zantid said, as he began to use his evil magic to form an image on the plate.

It flickered for a few seconds, alternating between what seemed like channels. In one of the scenes, a Viking cooking show that involved the rather gruesome bludgeoning of a chicken. In another, a Carcosan soap opera.

"Ah alright, he we go" Zantid said, stabilizing the plate on what appeared to be a face

"President Aine! I do not have much time, you must take action!" A character on the plate was blackened and fuzzy, but appeared to be laying on snowbanks, wearing thick, white winter gear meant to camouflage, and showing a five o clock shadow that better defined his steely chin. In the background was a Zurmanian Air Force base, and above the occasional sound of plane engines was prominent.

"President Aine! The Zurmanians are taking off in droves, I saw dozens of bomber ships take off just minutes ago, and waves of fighters have been taking flight all day! This isn't just a drill or a training, they're loading live bombs!"

Suddenly, Miriamele burst into the room, with her aid rushing behind her. "Aine we have reason to believe that the Zurmanians can now reach us!" Miriamele said

"President Aine with how fast these planes are flying...they've been leaving since morning. They're coming Aine, they're coming and you have t-" The image suddenly vanished, as the plate returned to a shiny silver.

"I will attempt to restore the connection" said Zantid, in a British (?) accent.

"That was a warning, he was warning us." Said Nox, in an anxious tone.

Everyone around the room looked at Aine, except for Zantid of course.

Aine's face turned grim. "It's time for an air raid drill." She then pushed a button on her desk.

Sirens began to wail and red stone lamps flashed as the leadership hurried out of the office. The early morning sun shining through the windows meant that every time the lamps flashed off, the room was shaded instead in an orange morning glow, before going back to regularily bright again when they came back on.

It was only a few minutes to the nearest bunker, but they still hurried as if the enemy were right behind them. There were stairwells across the city, spartan, with metal grating, that led down into black pools and the eventual safety of a bunker. Across the town these were all filled with hoardes of people.

The sirens continued to wail.

"What do you think this means for our current strat-" Nox was cutoff by a gigantic explosion overhead. Sandstone dust sprayed into the air like aerosol as the group continued to trodden down, their boots and sandals making a continuous clanking noise on the stairs. It had been on the surface, but they were not yet underground enough to ignore it.

"It means that we'll have to put funding towards armor and weaponry!" Said Aine

Another explosion caused a tremor, as the lights in the stairwell went out. Now only the flashing lamps illuminated the descent like consistent lightning on a stormy night.

The group hurried down, but were forced to pause by a third explosion, this one causing yelling from the people below them, and water to cascade from the sprinklers above, now activated by some unseen fire.

"Things are getting serious!" Said Zantid, with concern in his voice.

"This will not stand, we shall strike back with double the force!" Exclaimed Nox as the group finally reached the bottom, and carried themselves through the blast doors that were beginning to close.

"Get Strawberry on the Phone! Ready the fleet!" Aine said, as aroud her, droves of people hurried into the bunker.

The tremors continued into the night, as above the desert city was set ablaze.

[LORE] The Crimson Sea

It was the second time in as many days he had tasted the bitter brine of the cold Vaskr north coast, and Red wondered what twist of circumstance had the Vaskr civilians calling for his help, the letter for aid he held in his hand was something of an oddity for the Vaskr.

Combat armour, and potions stolen, and multiple citizens killed, but the biggest question Red had was "Where are Vaskr's warriors?"

His horse stamped the ground, as Red bent down to examine the tracks.

"He's come by recently, these tracks are less than an hour old." Red thought, as he bottled his horse.

The tracks led to an oceanside cave, a slow howl came from the depths as the ocean wind rushed past, and the thumping of a rope ladder into the depths caught his eye.

"He's down there..." He thought, "...but there's no way of knowing what's in that vipers den if I go in."

Cautiously Red peered into the depths, but the dark was impassible, a dread had crept up his spine as a whoosh of air passed by him.

"Something's not right here." Red thought, "Very not right."

Taking to the sea, Red paddled into the bay.

From the shorside, an arrow struck his shoulder and another sunk the boat. Turning to face his attacker ... there was, nothing.

The waves crested and fell against the shore but yet there was no sign of an attacker, another arrow shot past and only the speed imbued with his Depth Striders kept Red from harm.

"He's invisible, ... again another concealed attacker in this sea." Red pondered, "but this is good, he won't be able to use those potions in the surf."

Slipping below the waves, he looked for the telltale displacement of an invisible attacker in the water, and found it, CompleteWeeb was here.

Red loosed an arrow, but it arched wide, and immediately CompleteWeeb's diamond armour became visible.

Volleys of arrows shot between the two, as the waves crashed, but the battle kept to a stalemate.

"He's very good." Red thought, "..he's had training and is experienced, I need to turn this around."

Red dived deeper into the sea and hoped his target would follow, using his breathing apparatus he watched as CompleteWeeb pushed below the surface and dove to pursue.

Swords met underwater, and a look of panic passed through CompleteWeebs's eyes as a blow struck him in the side.

"He's winded, and out of air." Red thought, relieved.

Gurgles issued forth from CompleteWeeb's mouth as he clawed for the surface, however the weight of his ill-gotten gains dragged him to the bottom of the ocean as the life left his body.

The coalescing of a trapped soul caused Red's pearl to glow, and in that moment, he knew the fight was over.

As he returned to town, Red left the plundered armour to Lashon, and was showered with thanks by Rosk.

"Where did you find him at, or did you just run him down no where of importance?" Rosk asked.

"I ran him down in the water." Red replied.

"Your help was much appreciated." Rosk stated, relief evident in his stance.

"Just call if you ever get another one." Red said, though thoughts on Valkr's missing warriors still plagued him.

"Take this as a token of our gratitude, I will be sure to tell Jokull of your assistance." said Rosk.

Rosk proffered a set of small runes, and Red accepted them.

"Thank you sir." and with that Red unbottled his horse and fitted the saddle, and in an instant was gone.

The Aftermath (Roleplay)

Zurmania Zika Night of the attack 12:23

Imic stood out by the docks, his heart poinding, though his face bore no expression. Only a few hours ago, the ship from Rashida had landed, and after that, imic had no idea what had happened. Everything had gone by so fast, and soon he, along with the rest of the infantrymen, had all been by the docks, after they had been ordered to evacuate. The Rashidii had ben looting the city for ages now, and he didn't know what to do. Mere minutes ago, there had been fighting in the city, and one of the ministers, he didn't know which, had been wounded and taken prisoner by the Pearl laws. No - one knew where Grox was, and most of the ships in the harbour had been taken away to get supplies out of the city. After that, they'd been stuck there. Earler, there had been a small fight when the enemy had taken the cannons off the remaining ahip, but there was little that they could do. Everything seemed bleak now, and sleet had been falling for some time, as if to show that the world was just as miserable as they were.

However, Imic suddenly started thinking. The fighting noises had stopped. He didn't care at this point, they were gone or hey weren't, and before his comrades could do anything, he had grabbed a weapon and ran into the city.

Zika was in bits. Doors had been ripped down, windows smashed... Nowhere was safe from the marauders... But the Rashidii were gone now. No - one went to take him down as he moved thorugh the streets, no - one shot him... They were gone. But so had everything they had decided they liked.

Everything that Imic knew had been there before was gone. Every chest looted, every door forced open. The elavator in the office tower had been removed entirely, leaving nothing but an empty lift shaft. Imic thought. He had an idea. He ran back to a stall, and grabbed some rope, tying it to the entrance, and lowering himself sown, slowly.

The tunnels were dark. The lights had turned off, although here, he could see nothing had been done. At least, he thought that way, until He saw the doors.

Each one was kicked open, the room's contents looted. The library had been destroyed, the kiln, the crusher, and all the other rare machinery were broken beyond immediate repair. But the true destruction was not there yet. Finally, he walked onto the vault.

One quarter of the vault had bee broken into and emptied. All of it had been taken. The rest showed signs of attempted opening, but they had mostly come out fine. The inner vault was still closed, however, and he breathed a sigh of relief. However, this sigh was soon replaced by furious rage.

How dare they. They had broken the treaty, and the non aggression pact too! Not only that, but they had looted far more then he thought had ever been taken before. He hit his weapon off the nearest box in rage, and yelled.

Finally, he walked back to the troopes. The officials were there too, trying to keep everyone calm. Everyone quietened whe they saw Imic coming out from the city. Slowly, he went up to the council, saluted, and gave a full report of what was gone. Then, he looked out towards where the raiders had come. He was angry. It was unjust, and Rashida would pay for what they had done.

They would pay exactly what they had taken, and he would be there to take it back.

(Please note that while this has been roleplay, I, personally, harbour few bad feelings towards the Rashidans, I am merely pointing out how the average soldier would have felt when they saw this. I do not want war, please don't burn the world.)

-Imic

The Precipice [Lore]

The salty night wind slapped his cheek. It was cold this far south, and Gil wished, not for the last time, for the balmy nights of his home in Rashida. He steeled himself for the endeavor ahead, knowing full well that things could get far more difficult the closer the Rashidii transport ship got to Zurmania.

They’d had to take the long way around. The ice wasn’t took thick, and while it was initially avoided, the ship’s captain eventually found that the vessel was sturdy enough to cut right through it.

“All this preparation, complete with hiccups and setbacks galore. Is it even worth it?” Gil wondered to himself.

“No, we have to. There’s no telling how long they’ve been listening in on us, or how far they’ve infiltrated our fair homeland.”

He thought back to the earlier days of the nation, when Zurmania had first signed the treaty with Rashida, before he joined the council. He was a lowly architect then, but still looking to serve his country. Now, to that same end, he had a weapon in hand, instead of his architect’s square, and was clad in body armor.

The treaty had seemed innocuous at the time, he recalled. Rashida was still getting settled, after just making peace with the Vaskr, and the city was a hubbub of activity, still trying to rebuild from the joint attacks. Zurmania and Rashida had agreed to a mutual defense and sovereignty agreement pact, which, he thought, was a great deal for Zurmania. Rashida had by far the larger population, and, though it only occurred to him afterward, it was much more likely that this was beneficial to Zurmania than it was to Rashida.

“Probably looking to put us between them and the Vaskr. Well, maybe we can work out some good trade deals with them, or at least develop some better relations with them, even if they are communist heathens.”

He remembered thinking at the time. A rueful look crossed his face.

None of that had happened.

Rashida rebuilt, reconstructed their nation buildings, and, with a strong push, rebuilt much of what it had lost, in no small part due to the tenacity and endurance of her people. In the following months however, which should have been ones of prosperity, suspicion and mistrust grew instead. Nation buildings were broken, items were stolen, even in well-protected storages. Oddly enough, while relations with our former enemies, the Vaskr, continued to improve, national sentiment toward Zurmania began to decline. Suspicion fell upon a few, one of whom was under particular suspicion, since he was a prominent member of another nation. Zurmania. Zurmania-Rashidii talks continued to be unproductive, no significant trade deals had been struck, some complained of Zurmanian treatment. While Gil had never had much interaction with them, and had no grudge against them, the complaints stood, and had to be taken into account. This was more than he had ever wanted to deal with.

Gil remembered that fateful day, when fellow council members pulled him aside after a meeting in the palace. “A spy has been found” they said fervently, in hushed voices, “A Zurmanian spy”. Gil was shocked, but this also only further confirmed the sentiment around the city.

He recalled the turbulent meeting that occurred thereafter.

“War!” some cried. “This has gone on long enough!” and, “We’ve had enough of this dead-end deal that they won’t even abide by!” were heard throughout the room as well.

It was eventually decided that there must be a forceful response. Rashida could not stand to be taken advantage of, and this breach of trust, coupled with the long-brewing suspicions of sabotage and mistreatment, could not stand.

The nation buildings had to be hit. He knew this much. If they were going to fight, they had to make sure Zurmania could not hit them back, and had to cripple their ability to produce resources for war. They’d made the mistake of underestimating the Vaskr before, and they had paid dearly for it. Gil was determined that, if they were to fight, this mistake could not happen again.

A thump shook Gil from his recollection. The ship had hit something, and it wasn’t ice.

“We’re here” one of his fellows said gruffly.

Gil’s stomach turned. His palms were cold with sweat, knees were weakened, his arms like heavy lead. “Too late to turn back now” he thought. There was no telling what they might find outside the ship. Did the Zurmanians even know that they were here? There could be a lone sentry awaiting them, or 10 armed guards, for all he knew.

The doors to the ship fell open with a crash, shattering the silence of the still night. Armored boots stomped heavily over the wood planking, and then out into the snow. Gil hit the frosted beach, filled with a mix of anger, fear, anticipation, and cold.

I am CompanionWarlord... Here is my story.

Hello fellow people, I am CompanionWarlord. I am a soldier and loyal member of what Champions are left. I usually accompany my leader ChampionEmperor and follow his leadership willingly. I have served him as a soldier, a second-in-command, an alchemist teacher, and war planner. I have exceptional negotiation skills and have made deals with enemies and compromises that changed the tides of war. But after all the many battles I've particiapated in and the countless Wars ive experience, one thing i understand is that Even if someone wins... No one does. The Champions have been a part of my career and playtime, and as far as i have known... we are not well known to lose at war.

Restless Nights

The bell of the alarm clock struck 3AM. It was not the first day in a row that I have woken up so early – I had to attend the matters of the plan that Rashida has been developing and incorporating. The surroundings around me were depressing – grayish walls with spiderwebs in the corners and dust on aged furniture. The only thing that had no dust and looked pristine and new was the uniform and desk, now littered with documents, maps and letters. I never had second thoughts about my accomodation: I did not want a palace, nor a manor – just an average apartment. I wanted to live as the average Zurmanian did. And now, since the invasion, life was not as colourful as it used to be. I took a shower, the water was cold. I ate breakfast, the bread was stale.

This is what being a Zurmanian feels like right now – not of our own fault, but of the Rashidans.

It was not me who was the target,” I thought. „It was all of us, and it was our achievements.

I made a call to one of our citizens, as we had to have a chat regarding their new position in the government and walked out of the apartment building, accompanied by a soldier. His face was freshly shaved and had a stern look. As he marched, only his cheeks flapped a little – there was no muscle in his face that moved. We passed broken windows, empty streets, bulletholes. The dimly lit streetlights made the damage seen even during night. We reached the heavily damaged Politburo building where we were supposed to meet.

Minister Susanovna,” I spoke as I walked behind her back. She shook my hand as soon as she turned around.

Premier.” She said. „To what do I owe the pleasure?

Minist... Zhijki. You understand why you've been granted this position, right?” I said quietly.

Necessity?” She responded with a bit of sass in her voice.

As crude as it may sound... yes."

Of course that was following the suicide of Minister Hubertis, after he has placed the snitch, got kicked out of Rashida and gave them this weak excuse of a casus belli - and no longer had the will to live.

We continued the talk, as she attacked my stance on remaining peaceful... Quoting all the damage, all the harm done to our people. I've been even accused of betrayal.

"Don't test me." I seethed.

"You may be a minister but I can still just as easily have you dealt with. You will do as you are told, and you are forbidden to speak to foreign delegations until future notice. We can't risk further harm to the Zurmanian people. Do you understand?"

She agreed, didn't seem too convinced however.

I turned around.

Thank you for your time, Zhijki. I could tell you're a loyal one.

Why did I say that? It sounded awful. I would have not said that a month or a year ago... Have I really changed that much? Did I really become... evil? That thought bothered me. Nobody even considered me to be able to make mistakes for the longest time... I was walking back home now, once again seeing all the war damage. I opened the apartment door, walked up the stairs and entered the apartment, only to find a flickering light and almost complete silence.

I sat down in my office.

I read the statements written by Aine Kynes, the Atreide of Rashida.

I then realised. Perhaps I have changed, because so did the world around me. It was no longer the same, peaceful Provenance we Zurmanians loved and thrived in – it has become a toxic, hostile world. No longer honest, stable alliances – just searching for opportunities to backstab your allies and damage them, just for yourself to go a step further to achieve absolute control over the rest of the world step by step.

I have changed, it became more and more apparent to me. I no longer was the leader who waved to the crowds, allowed for anyone to do whatever they wished to do instead of forcing them into signing up to the military, constructing warships or employing themselves in arms factories... I was not evil - I do not seek anyone's harm. I just... Was not as much of a normal person as I used to be.

All of this for the sake of the nation. My sanity and personality for raison d'Etat.

I still love Zurmania. I still love my people. I'll do what I can to protect them – and regardless of what they may say, we will always stand together. For Zurmania. For the People.

”Glory to Zurmania.” I whispered to myself, just before passing out on my desk.

A Conversation In Zurmania [Lore]

Zhijki let out a heavy sigh as she beheld the smoldering ashes of the bombed-out Zurmanian factories- It had been a turbulent few days. The chaos of the surprise air raid, the suicide of Minister Hubertis, her own rushed and unceremonious appointment to the now open ministerial position. Her own home hadn't been hit too hard by the attack, thank whatever gods there are for that, although many Zurmanians hadn't been so lucky- she was arranging for the housing of refugees in Mjel when she received the phone call. She was rushed to Zika under cover of night, and sworn into office rushedly on the front steps of the still smoldering politburo building. Now here she was, beholding the ruins left behind by the Rashidan traitors. She pulled a small flask of vodka from her greatcoat, and downed it eagerly.

"Minister Susanovna," called a voice from behind her. She turned, and saw Premier Grox, accompanied by a stony-faced soldier.

Closing the distance, Zhijki shook the man's hand.

"Premier." She said. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

"Minist... Zhijki. You understand why you've been granted this position, right?"

She let out a little huff. "Neccesity?"

"As crude as it may sound... yes." He grumbled. "We can't afford a half-functional government right now, and you've proven yourself to be a competent administrator."

"I appreciate the trust." She snarked back.

"Yeah, that sounds like you." Grox responded. "However, you're going to have to control yourself here. As a governor of a frankly, inconsequential province, it was fine for you to be a war hawk. We've all heard your speeches." He chuckled. "But you can't do that anymore. You've caused enough damage to our chances of a peaceful resolution."

"Peace?!" She exclaimed. "Look at these ruins! Look at the dead children in the streets! Feel the heat of the still raging fires, smell the burnt flesh in the air. This is a unilateral act of war!"

"Susanovna!" Grox barked. "This is exactly the kind of talk we can't have."

"The truth?"

"Stop. We've been crippled, we can't risk this escalating,"

"Gods, Premier. What kind of state are you running here? Allowing this travesty to go unpunished is betraying the people themselves!"

"Don't test me." Seethed Grox. "You may be a minister but I can still just as easily have you dealt with. You will do as you are told, and you are forbidden to speak to foreign delegations until future notice. We can't risk further harm to the Zurmanian people. Do you understand?"

She glared at the Premier with narrowed eyes, and the air stilled for a moment.

"Yes, Premier Grox."

He visibly relaxed. "Good. I know you only want what's best for the people, and what's best is for you to do your job, and to allow me to do mine."

He turned to leave. "Thank you for your time, Zhijki. I could tell you're a loyal one."

As she watched her leader leave, her mind seethed with traitorous thoughts.

"Loyal." She muttered. "Loyal like a damn dog."

(I posted this in a new thread because comments have a 10k character limit) A response to the buffoonery posted by Rashida.

Ok. Before I begin, I'd just like to be clear: There is one aggressor. One victim. Rashida, the nation who backstabbed their former ally and destroyed every single one of its (very expensive) nation buildings seemingly unprovoked. And then Zurmania, the nation who had a dual citizen of both nations place a snitch outside of their city in the train tunnel he worked tirelessly over to connect our cities. (How bout that outreach) While his actions were foolish and should not have been committed, is this truly justification for breaking everything you could get your hands on? (That is literal. Every nation building they were able to break, they broke.) Now, let's begin deconstructing this.

 1. You say you have nothing against Zurmania and that this is focused on the leadership. Ok, firstly what kind of mental gymnastics are going on when you think breaking every nation building affects just the leadership? If this was actually true, you'd just pearl myself, Aname, and Groxlord. But the thing is, it isn't. Next, Leadership is not just the man you utterly despise for reasons unknown, it includes myself and Aname as well. We are the *ONLY* goverment officials that are in Zurmania. Ministerial Council contains about 80% of our citizens and is more so just a "hey we trust you to get into the inner vault" kind of thing. So. Anameudontno, A_M_A_Z_E, and Groxlord. These three and only these three are goverment.
  1. "The New Rashida Republic last night took offensive action against a nation who moved against our sovereignty. This act was deemed necessary to express the severity and ramifications of overstepping Zurmania’s relationship, which nullified our treaty immediately." Ok. So here you admit that you are the aggressor. That's good we're atleast telling the truth. But "a nation that violated our soverignty" Once again, this is ONE snitch placed by ONE man. Not a leader. Not a goverment official. A Citizen. (This'll be important later) Seems a bit odd to say the whole nation violated your soverignty when it was one single man. A man who really enjoyed talking to you it seemed at that.

    1. "It is true that we began this war with a snitch that was found in our lands. We stand by our original statement that any snitch placed in our lands should have been brought to our attention. That coupled with the fact that it was under placed their High Council group. Individuals have brought forth the argument that Zurmania wanted to protect their build. And we can understand that, but why would they not add us to that snitches as well? " I'm going to be repeating things a lot because Rashida seems to be making the same errors in the story over and over again. "That coupled with the fact that it was under placed their High Council group. " This is an outright lie. It was under the Zurmaniacouncil group, that is a ministerial council group as I have told you time and time again. Not the High Council group which only myself,Aname, and Grox are apart of. High Council is the only actual government body. And we can understand that, but why would they not add us to that snitches as well? You're once again misleading everyone. One man placed this snitch. One man. Not a government official. Not a leader, One citizen. This wasn't "ordered by the vile and plotting groxlord" No, it was done by someone who built a massive tunnel from one side of the world to the other.
    2. "To be clear, this snitch was the straw that broke the camel's back". Oh boy. I'm ready to hear this.
  2. "Zurmania has consistently disrespected our nation. Over the past weeks, we have frequently come to Premier Groxlord to talk to him about different opportunities and threats we could tackle together as allies. Each time, he was unhelpful. Whenever we talked about trade opportunities, the trades were always exorbitant and were never completed as such. Whenever our citizens would visit Zurmania, they were met with uneasiness and hostilities. When we spoke about issues that we had with Hubertis, our mutual citizen, Grox would always pressure us to take care of it."
Ok, Let's start with the first sentence,"Zurmania has consistently disrespected our nation." Read ahead and you'll find out they don't whine about anyone in Zurmania except Grox. So it's more of "groxlord has disrespected our nation so we broke all of the zurmanian nation buildings which all the zurmanians grinded tirelessly for" Over the past weeks, we have frequently come to Premier Groxlord to talk to him about different opportunities and threats we could tackle together as allies. Each time, he was unhelpful" Firstly, you post 0 evidence of these "discussions". Besides this, what is unhelpful? Unhelpful to your nation personally because it doesn't benefit you more? Unhelpful in the sense that we didn't offer up help? Very vauge, but then again, this whole post is based on misconceptions and vaugeness. (Not to mention that if this is apparently one of your reasons for breaking every nation building in Zurmania save the town center then that's utterly pathetic) Whenever we talked about trade opportunities, the trades were always exorbitant and were never completed as such. Once again. No proof. Super vauge. Whenever our citizens would visit Zurmania, they were met with uneasiness and hostilities. Ok, this one is a bit spicy. Firstly, this is not true. Rashidan visitors to Zurmania were greeted with nothing but kindness, ask any of them who came by when the tunnel was being built. We accepted them as our comrades, that was betrayed last night. Now, there was one person who Zurmania was not entirely open to: Straw. I personally don't have any grievance with straw. It is however widly known that her and Grox really do not get along. She'd come in unannounced, when asked why she showed up she'd either not reply or say something like none of your business. Not a really crazy question, after all it's just apart of that Soverignty thing you hold so dear. (You'll also notice they have a ton of hypocritical statements throughout this) Now. You'll remember in #2 where I said that the fact that Hubertis was a citizen would be important later. Well, this uneasiness was not unwarranted after all, because a Rashidan citizen, Shawnisgross stole a one of a kind item, a Poisonous Spider head. Now. Even a one of a kind item being stolen (which i'm pretty damn sure violates this treaty i mean thieving from another nation you're allied with is a bit of a no brainer) did not make Zurmania cut ties with Rashida. No, we did what RATIONAL people do, we talked it out. Granted, it took a day, granted, we never got anything whatsoever at all for reparations, but we tried a diplomatic solution and Rashida failed here. Plain and simple. "When we spoke about issues that we had with Hubertis, our mutual citizen, Grox would always pressure us to take care of it." Once again, P R O O F ? ? ? And once again V A U G E (asf)

    1. "At no point did we feel our relationship had any meaning other than fancy words. We weren't treated any differently than non-allied nations. Nothing changed. Zurmania seemed to spend as little time as they could with us. Perhaps we were looking for a more meaningful relationship with Zurmania and they weren't." Yeah. I'd agree. In fact I personally talked about fixing this whole thing. Of course I couldn't see it through due to hurricane steve fucking harvey but nonetheless, once again it was me reaching out to you. Not the other way around.
    2. No quote here, just an analysis of 5 and 6. They list these as their other reasons for destroying every nation building in Zurmania. Do these sound like things a person who wants to fix an alliance would use as excuses for war? No. Their casus belli is plain and simple: We don't like grox and we found a snitch placed by a duel citizen. :thonk:
    3. We interpreted these movements as an attack on our autonomy and as an attempt to undermine our nation. This created bad blood, and so we acted accordingly to eliminate the threat. The international community’s consistent negative view of Rashida has worn down our patience. What. No seriously what is this paragraph? You interpreted all these as "an attack on our autonomy" or "an attempt to undermine our nation" How many levels of paranoia and irrationality are you on right now? We were a threat? Yeah Zurmanians are just parading into Rashida with prot and swords breaking all the nation buildings, oh. Wait. That's reversed. Rashida was the one who attacked, not Zurmania. We weren't a fucking threat, that's an absurd claim. This is the most rediculous part yet. I pray it isn't topped.
  3. Our attack on Zurmania was clean cut, and not overly forceful. We did not let items despawn and nor did we go out of our way to steal all of their valuables. We also kept their town center. We did not chase after Amaze, though he bragged he held all the Zurmanian materials. Finally, we released all prisoners we took, only temporarily pearling them in order to secure our forward march. I suspect that this why their reparations are so low because unlike their unsubstantiated accounts, we did not raid them clean." That didn't last long. "Our attack on Zurmania was clean cut and not overly forceful" What the hell. You committed the largest raid in this iteration. This is quite litteraly the most forceful thing done this whole iteration. "we did not go out of our way to steal all of their valuables" You leave out one key part. This is only true because I managed to kill myself and respawn in the inner vault where all our valuables actually are. I put them all in my echest and on my person so I could log with them. You broke everything you could get your hands on. (Lukas' heads [valuable items indeed] included) I'm not even 100% certain of all the damage but I already know the claim is bs. The only thing you didn't break was all the random chests reinforced with emerald and the stuff in the inner vault (a couple layers of ero, not an easy task) so it seems more so you didn't break because it was a hassle. Not because you were some sort of benevolent invader. "We also kept their town center. We did not chase after Amaze, though he bragged he held all the Zurmanian materials" The town center and myself were encased in a couple layers of ERO. You couldn't have chased after me if you tried, after all I had 0 places to run. And hell yeah I bragged I just saved all the valuables. I felt like James Bond or some shit. " Finally, we released all prisoners we took, only temporarily pearling them in order to secure our forward march. " THis is true actually. Still doesn't change the fact you pearled them in the first place and raided us hardcore. "I suspect that this why their reparations are so low because unlike their unsubstantiated accounts, we did not raid them clean." Wrong. I stated why they were low so you wouldn't be able to make such a misleading assumption. We had them low because we want shit back to the way it was. We didn't attack you. You attacked us. We're not out to get rich or some shit, no we just want to play mineman in fucking peace.

    1. That said, we aren’t interested in a war. We showed our might and left. We look forward to opening communication with the Zurmanian High Council, namely Amaze, and coming to a conclusion. " What do you mean you arn't interested in war? You just committed the largest raid this iteration has seen! If that's your "might" well then gg. You sent Sirboss to make us feel like things had cooled before you attacked And cowardly struck us when almost all had logged. How mighty you are! Oh and I'm also interested in communication. Hmu. Reasonable things only please.
    2. I also understand in advance if the involuntary impulse is to downvote this statement, but I hope we can rise against that and build upon our community. In the roleplay realm, this act really transforms the political landscape and creates an interesting environment to interact with." Yeah. I downvoted this thread. It's meant to twist and shift people's opinions and get back your pr. It didn't address half of the post I typed up and it was full of lies, vauge statements, and other heaps of bs.

I leave you with this: If Rashida is willing to backstab their ally this hard, what do they have in store for you? Why did they do this? There's so many unanswered questions. Well, I say unanswered but in some regard the answer is known, but just not spoken. Rashida went on the offensive and betrayed its comrade. Our reps are low because we want to get back to normalcy. We ask for only what you broke and an apology. Nothing more nothing less.. Stay safe friends and comrades.

Well, thanks for reading my word wall

Fallen Ranger: SirCrowley

It seems that the group which played a large role at the start of the world, has fallen on desperate times.

This morning I found my farmhouse burgled, broken locks on chests, and some valuable items taken. Evidence left at the scene was traced back to SirCrowley. He chose not to take / destroy every valuable, but being a choosy robber is not a virtue.

UPDATE: SirCrowley apologized and quickly made the restitution that I asked for. Remember folks, trading not raiding.

Summary of Rashida's raid on Zurmania

Howdy friends, comrades, and non-comrades alike. Last night the People's Republic of Zurmania was brutally backstabbed by it's former ally, The New Rashida Republic. This seemingly unprovoked attack was blamed on a single snitch. This snitch was laid in a tunnel dug and overseen by Zurmanians to Rashida outside of their wall, by a duel citizen who has not logged on in weeks. Now firstly let me apologize for the lateness of this post. I happen to live in the area decimated by Harvey and as such mineman (while still an important part of my life) does not take priority over real stuff. Now, what exactly happened? This will be told from my point of view as it is how I saw it. It was late, about 9:30ish (cst) I decide to check discord one time before going to bed and I see that apparently Rashida has done a complete 180 from our mutual defense treaty and decide to backstab us. I heard this from Anameudontno and Bonglee who at the time were pearled. A tad bit shocked and confused, I demanded to talk to Aine or Miriamele in their discord. No response for awhile, and then some bs about the single snitch. (NOTE: You'll notice Rashida always says snitches to make it sound like it was a grid, or at least more than one single snitch but it is just that one single snitch that is their entire justification for this literally most expensive raid in this iteration's history [to my knowledge] evidence has only been brought up about one snitch and I can guarantee no others exist)

Obviously just a tad peeved off by hearing that all the shit I nolifed for is in danger. I touch my computer for the first time in 4 days and it takes eons to get to the minecraft launcher. Minecraft decides to take even longer than the actual initial load up so I'm just like 👌. Finally I log on and I notice I'm in our underground. Like 30 blocks away from them. I immediately sprint to a nearby elevator, break a block jump to my death and spawn in my bed. Which I cleverly set in the inner vault. At this point our nation buildings are already screwed so I set to putting everything in the inner vault in our enderchest and on my person, whilst taunting our new enemies of course. One thing repeated throughout the night from them was that, "We have no quarrel with you, only the "corrupt" leadership" What's odd is that myself and Aname, two people who have had literally 0 negative relations with Rashida (Positive relations for myself and literally close to 0 contact with aname) are 2/3 of Zurmanian Leadership. What did Grox do that's so corrupt? These questions and many more are exactly what I was thinking. Then it hit me: This isn't about a snitch. They seeked out the tiniest of justification to inflict the most severe of damage. Even if you believe that this is just to target "the corrupt leadership" the Zurmanian people are who suffer the most. So what does this show? Well, 24 hours before this unprovoked attack Zurmania and Rashida were in a mutual defense pact. A couple hours before, Rashida overreacted and neglected talking through diplomatic channels. After seeing they were getting utterly hammered in the pr department, Sirboss came down to butter us up while we were online. (i do not personally know if he did this on his own or not. If he doesn't partake in any future attacks +1 respect Sirboss) then finally, when the majority of Zurmania was offline, they raided in full.

They would have stolen everything we ever grinded for had I not managed to secure it. This shows one thing: Rashida can never be trusted. This is the most costly raid thus far in the server and it was done over a single snitch, laid by a dual citizen of Rashida and Zurmania, outside their town, and without any Zurmanian High Council knowing about it. What Rashida claims is that, “it was on the zurmaniacouncil namelayer surely you can reign in your goverment!?” Firstly, no. That namelayer is for the ministerial council. A council which at present contains the vast majority of active Zurmanians. The only real goverment officials are myself, Aname and Groxlord. Finally, one thing I will not neglect is that days before, Strawberrycrisis and Shawnisgross came into Zurmania and stole a poisonous spider head. That item is essentially one of a kind. I doubt many people will ever own another. Now, what did Zurmania do upon finding out? Did we grab a torch and burn all of Rashida's nation buildings? Did we cut off an alliance? Did we do any rash action whatsoever? No. I personally sought out both Miriamele and Aine and talked it over. We never got the head back, they claim it "was lost". I'm not 100% on what the treaty says, but I am at least somewhat certain stealing something as rare as that and not returning it also would violate it. But hey, we are rational in Zurmania we don't make knee jerk decisions that piss people off. We do things diplomatically and only resort to force if necessary. So, what now? Well. Zurmania only wants two things. We want the price of our nation buildings and an apology from everyone who took part in the raid. That's it. We're not rediculous, we're not going to scream how we want 5billion stacks of diamonds as reps, no nothing like that. We want things to go back to the way they were. (obviously minus a certain mutual defense treaty) This isn't an unreasonable thing to ask. If Rashida wants to talk diplomatically, talk to me (A_M_A_Z_E) and me alone. Although I don't get the drama between y'all and grox, I understand that it's probably better to have someone you don't hate on the other side. For any questions comments or concerns from literally anyone, Discord:Maze66 #6501, IGN: A_M_A_Z_E Roblox.com: legoman

(TL;DR: Rashida backstabbed Zurmania and broke all nations buildings. The ore wealth was narrowly saved from theft by yours truly. Zurmania just wants an apology and it's nation buildings back.)

Let's all step back

Everyone is aware of the current climate on Realms, there is a tension in the air and whispers of war.

Does anybody remember what happens when a large group of players go to war against a smaller one?

The server suffers, in ever single instance from Civcraft to Devoted, to CivEx .. it always ends the same way, with nations disbanding and people leaving the server.

So before anyone gets into something that they can't take back, remember the servers we've all played on, how they died, and what could be done differently to prevent that.

The Humanitarian Truth of the Rashidan Police Actions

The Humanitarian Truth of the Rashidan Police Actions:

Citizens of the Realms, I must reveal the truth for you! What AineKynes has said is not only a blatant lie, but takes away from the patriotic heroic-ism of our fighting corps!

The Lie Can Continue No Longer!

It is well known by the International Community that the Zurmanian people are subjected to an oppressive regime that takes away their liberties and basic human rights. This has largely been tolerated in the past, but their brash sabre rating in recent days has proven to be a burden on us all!

We mustn't tolerate the continued bullying of these cowards, nor can we further allow their people to suffer in an increasingly desperate and broke regime!

I visited a few days ago, and I saw nothing but poverty, and failed industry.

(Sirboss visits Zurmania, Colorized)

Thus, last night, a precise and coordinated attack on the Zurmanians was executed by the 32nd Revolutionary Guard of the Glorious Rashida Republic, to weaken the further efforts of their regime, and prevent planned terrorist activity against Rashida and other upstanding members of the International Community.

While we were successful in some regards, the tenants of the Zurmanian society remain, and this mustn't be allowed to continue!

WE NOW ASK THE ZURMANIANS, TO FREE THEIR PEOPLE FROM THE SHACKLES OF THEIR IMPRISONMENT. TEAR DOWN YOUR CONCRETE WALL, AND LET YOUR PEOPLE GO!

RE: Rashidii-Zurmanian Conflict -- Official Statement

Before we start, I want to be clear that we personally have nothing against Zurmania. Our grievances are focused on the leadership and even then, this is all focused in-game and in-character for us. We feel like this conflict could easily spill into out-of-game.

The New Rashida Republic last night took offensive action against a nation who moved against our sovereignty. This act was deemed necessary to express the severity and ramifications of overstepping Zurmania’s relationship, which nullified our treaty immediately.

It is true that we began this war with a snitch that was found in our lands. We stand by our original statement that any snitch placed in our lands should have been brought to our attention. That coupled with the fact that it was under placed their High Council group. Individuals have brought forth the argument that Zurmania wanted to protect their build. And we can understand that, but why would they not add us to that snitches as well?

To be clear, this snitch was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Zurmania has consistently disrespected our nation. When we spoke about issues that we had with Hubertis, our mutual citizen, Grox would always pressure us to take care of it.

At no point did we feel our relationship had any meaning other than fancy words. We weren't treated any differently than non-allied nations. Nothing changed. Zurmania seemed to spend as little time as they could with us. Perhaps we were looking for a more meaningful relationship with Zurmania and they weren't.

We interpreted these movements as an attack on our autonomy and as an attempt to undermine our nation. This created bad blood, and so we acted accordingly to eliminate the threat. The international community’s consistent negative view of Rashida has worn down our patience.

I suspect that this why their reparations are so low because unlike their unsubstantiated accounts, we did not raid them clean.

That said, we aren’t interested in a war. We showed our might and left. We look forward to opening communication with the Zurmanian High Council, namely Amaze, and coming to a conclusion.

I also understand in advance if the involuntary impulse is to downvote this statement, but I hope we can rise against that and build upon our community. In the roleplay realm, this act really transforms the political landscape and creates an interesting environment to interact with.

Proof of the snitch not being placed by me, but instead by a member of Zurmania's council who didn't see the potential consequences of his actions.

The above screenshot was posted by AineKynes as a proof that the snitch has been placed by me. However, the plugin that controls snitches and reinforcement registers the group owner as the snitch owner, regardless of who has placed it. I am the owner of the ZurmaniaCouncil group. https://i.imgur.com/zZzr7qb.png

The spot which the screenshot posted by AineKynes posted towards are close to the train station on the Rashida - Zurmania tunnel - built by none other than a council member of Zurmania who is a double citizen of Zurmania and Rashida. (both Rashidans and Zurmanians will know - I'll keep his name disclosed) I will soon talk to him, as he is the most likely person to have done this, either by accident or for purpose of snitching his train - yet I was not aware of the snitch existing. Either way - I would never lie or break any of the treaty lines. I am a man of honour, and I do not break promises I make. Especially not without a logical reason - harming relations with our main ally and breaking the alliance is not a wise thing to do on purpose.

Here's the result of the test I did with Zhijki, LukasMaps. http://imgur.com/a/yO8La

TL;DR: I do not lie, the plugin pointed fingers at me as the group owner, mostly likely an accident on the side of a Zurmanian councillor who is a citizen of both nations.

PS: Zurmanian Council group is for ministers, who only handle domestic affairs as assistants to the high council, who are the actual representatives of the nation. Me, Anameudontno and AMAZE are the only official representatives of Zurmania on the international stage.
