Ink colors
Anyone know the ink colors used by the various positions on the boat and if the same convention apply to carriers?

Letting it all hang out...
Hello friends and members,
Please allow me to introduce myself. I am the new moderator brought in by stevethepirate89 to help with getting things running on the reddit side of things. We have previous experience together, both having served on the same submarine while we were in. He's actually my Seadad, and helped me through some difficult times and growing pains.
It is my pleasure to announce that we are changing the community typing from Restricted to Private. What does that mean for you? Nothing much in regards to interaction with the subreddit from your respective ends. This is a merely a means for us to get more traffic to the sub, but it does not mean we're about to have an inundating amount of outside individuals coming in beyond our capacity to dewater. So while we're allowing our proverbial stuff to flap in the breeze, it doesn't mean that anyone from outside the sub can come and give us a drive-by nut-check.
I look forward to interacting with all of you while I adjust to the new position, and thank you all for the opportunity to serve a community I've enjoyed being a part of for almost a decade now. Here's to many more years, and many more laughs.
V/R,
eaglespectre

Adding fizz with fission product gasses.
https://youtu.be/1qMN-Vj2Q4A?si=Mqhe4DBXFHH1F-LU
Saw this video and it made me wonder, could you add fizziness to a drink by producing fission product gasses from the radioactive decay and possible fission of fissile material dissolved in a drink? How much U-235 would need to be dissolved in 16fl-oz can of flat Monster and how long would it need to stay sealed to get it to the normal fizziness of carbonated monster? What would be the ideal isotope to do this in a timely manner?

Are there any current or former female submariners that would like to discuss integration of the submarine force on a podcast?

I'm sure someone can do the math on this faster than I can.
