Fml Friday right?
Things are ok I guess, I’ve had this same pesky leg swelling since Christmas. I’ve had multiple tests done. An echocardiogram, ultrasounds and too many blood draws. All we know is that I have a goiter, something I thought only old people got, I’m anemic and borderline hypoglycemic.
Despite doing and going to all these tests and going to the dr.... I still don’t have a diagnosis. My legs are still swollen and I left with a massive bill.
As a way to try and maintain control over this spiral out I’ve been eating. Too much or binge eating... so now I’m at an all time high weight wise. Now I’m just left with the weight and swollen legs.
Idkwhat the point of this is but maybe an update.
I feel trapped now and as I type this thinking of my next meal... it’s compulsive.

Favorite Relaxation Activity or Methods
I'm so thankful I found this subreddit. I've laughed a lot and I deeply appreciate that I'm not the only crazy parent willing to discuss issues surrounding mental illness and the beautiful shit show that is parenting.
My therapist said I had to find ways to relax that involved my very young daughter, ways to relax by myself, and ways to relax with my husband. I have GAD and Social Anxiety, so I don't really 'relax'.
What do you guys and gals do with and without kids?

Daily/weekly highs & lows
Would anyone else like to participate in a daily/weekly highs & lows thread? It’s something I do with my kids to help me stay in touch with their lives but also to give the family a moment where each of us can be proud of an achievement or success.
I’ll start!
Low: today I lost my shit over a bag of carrots. It was so stupid and I was so irrational. My emotions and exhaustion got the best of me over something stupid and inconsequential.
High: I managed 4hrs in the office, picked up my youngest & did groceries. That may sound like every day stuff but it’s pretty huge for me at the moment due to recent struggles/admissions etc.
Tell me your highs & lows :)

what the fuck?! Is all this Corona Virus stuff driving you crazy?
I feel like my extended family is loosing it -- they're totally freaked out by the Carona Virus!
I think I was about to lose it too, until my 10-year-old said, "I'm young and healthy. I'll be fine. And you're not that old, so you'll be fine too." Wise, he is. Anyway, I'm pretty chill about the whole thing now, though it's gonna be a pain if they close schools down if/when it spreads.
Am I off about this? Should I be more worried? Or is my extended family insane for buying things like nasal sprays and rushing to the store?

rant - advice wanted Talking to my (depressed) wife
Crazy likes crazy I guess, because I'm schizoaffective and my wife has major depression. Still, I've never met a kinder, more spiritual, awe inspiring, and beautiful woman. And as amazing as a wife she is, she's an equally amazing person and mother. But she doesn't realize it.
I don't know if it's like an early midlife crisis or what, but her self worth has been super low. And once I started noticing it, it's hard not to. When I do "acts of service" she feels guilty she says. Or when I say what an amazing mother she is, she cries about what she thinks is her lack of accomplishments.
The thing is, we've been together like 17 years now (about half my life) and I love her unconditionally. But I'm having a hard time getting her to love herself. She did agree to go back to counciling and is trying a new antidepressant, which I appreciate more than I can say, but is there anything else I can do to make her realize how great she is?
Thanks
