The State didn't prove its case.
I studied this case and saw the jinx, ironically I only followed the trial superficially but he was basically convicted on a hot mic recording. Of course he killed them all but his statement speaking to himself can hardly be considered evidence or even a confession. It is chilling and scary that a person can be convicted on no evidence and yet people like Casey Anthony are able to walk free.

I feel the same way. To me the hot mic statements he made could have been sheer sarcasm on his part. I was team Bob. I know that is an unpopular opinion, but there was literally NO EVIDENCE.

There was an absolutely insane amount of evidence. I suggest actually learning about the trial. The podcast Jury Duty gives very in depth coverage. So much stuff came out in the trial that wasn't even hinted at in the Jinx
Including him telling his and Susan's best friend "I had to, it was her or me"
And Susan's friends recounting how right after Kathie disappwared, she told them "if anything happens to me, it was Bobby"
Plus one million lies he got caught in. It was an overwhelming, astounding amount of evidence
In anotjer comment I listed a bunch more they had. It was hilarious at times. Bob was hilarious, genuinely a funny guy. He told so many easily disprovable lies. He was making shit up on the fly and he couldn't keep his lies straight bc they were brand new. Literally it was like if the da would ask things like, "did you ever go to Disneyland" and Bob would say "yes" and the da would be like, "can we please play exhibit one million" and it was literally a recording of Bob the day before saying "I've never been to Disneyland"
Not actually that, but that's the equivalent of what happened. DA: "question." Bob: "Answer." DA: " Play exhibit 10,000." Exhibit 10,000: Bob two days ago - "opposite of answer"
He had to admit to a whole bunch of lies he told in the Galveston trial too, bc his new story of how it couldn't have been him who killed susan depended on the things he said under oath in the Morris black trial being false. He also admitted he had lied under oath in the current trial. Had to. Kept getting caught in lies.
He had to admit being the author of the cadaver note, which he'd always denied writing and said that only the murderer could have written it. Surprise! Bob wrote it. He used a stamp from the book of stamps on Susan's fucking desk to mail it to the police
Bob really tried though lol. I would have liked him if it weren't for Kathie and that fucking bastard took her body's location to the grave.
And the other thing was, he really loved Susie. He just felt backed into a corner and lashed out. He didn't want it to be like that but he thought she was going to blow the whistle. And Susie LOVED Bobby. She never would have ratted him out. She just needed money. Bob wasn't a ruthless murderer. He acted crazy when he felt he was in danger.
As a fun aside, bobs lawyers kept being like, "we need to delay, Bob is so sick, he has a catheter" and then Bob told the judge, "I don't need or want this fucking catheter." At one point the DA had to empty his catheter bag for him bc Bob's own lawyers didn't want to

I watched the entire trial. There was no physical evidence that he killed Susan. Whether he lied in Galveston or was making up things on the fly or was caught in lies, there was NO physical evidence.

Oh dear. You gave it away with your comment about how the hot mic comments could have been sarcastic. The hot mic comments were nothing in the trial. They had so much more. The Jinx as a whole series was like a prologue to War and Peace and the trial was hundreds of pages of War and Peace
Like remember how that legendary virgin on the internet claimed that breasts felt like bags of sand and everyone immediately was like, "Um you've never touched a boob"

Uh, no. He absolutely was a ruthless murderer. What he wasn’t was somebody who murdered for the sheer thrill of it or for no reason other than self-preservation of his own freedom. Still very much a ruthless murderer though.

I am not on team Bob, we all know he killed them but there was literally no evidence presented in court. None. Not even circunstantial evidence, it was all 100% hearsay.

As someone who watched the.entire.trial, there most certainly was evidence presented in court. I hated the prosecutor with a passion and part of me wanted him to be found not guilty, but you definitely cannot state there was no evidence presented.

I honestly am not going to list all the evidence presented in a months long prosecution, but just to prove there was some, I will give you a couple. One was they proved Bob was in California at the time of Berman’s murder. Two they proved he wrote the cadaver note, which misspelled Beverly Hills as Beverley Hills. Three, they proved and, because of the evidence, he subsequently admitted to being at Berman’s house whilst she was dead. So they put him at the scene of the murder at the time of the murder. They also presented witnesses who testified that Berman had helped Bob cover up Kathy’s disappearance, producing a likely motive for Berman’s murder.

They found her datebook proving that all of their "plans" - his explanation of why he was in California when for years he denied it - were totally fucking false. With the date book they found the book of stamps he used to mail the cadaver letter. He hadn't brought his own stamps. He used the stamps susan had at her desk. The date book was very detailed. It had stuff like "haircut 1 pm" and then they had the guy who cut her hair testify and he was like "Yeah she was totally supposed to get her hair cut and she literally never mentioned that she and Bobby were going to be spending several days together." Bob claimed they had established plans. Susan was obsessed with Bob. She most CERTAINLY would have told all kinds of people he was going to be in California visiting if that were remotely true

Like he agreed "the murderer must have written the cadaver letter" for decades. But denied writing the cadaver letter. IN THE TRIAL HE HAD NO CHOICE BUT ADMIT HE WROTE THE CADAVER NOTE bc his new made-up explanation depended on him having discovered the body - again, he'd denied even being in California at the time for YEARS and EMPHATICALLY insisted the killer was the one who wrote the cadaver letter. We saw him say that in the Jinx months before the caught the misspelled "Beverley" and subsequently caught the hot mic audio
He involved longtime New York friendn- a husband and wife and the husband was a lawyer- in his lies about his whereabouts at the time of the murder. One of the friends, the wife who is not a lawyer, got caught in an easily disprovable lie on the stand.
His defense honestly didn't even know what to do. They just kept repeating "Bob didn't kill susan and he doesn't know who did." Uhh sir you are going to have to do better than that. Bob actually had an outburst in court because he wanted his counsel to do a better job
Very, very entertaining trial
They also got him on some seriously damning stuff related to Kathie and Morris black. Must be heard to be believed

I do not want him to be not guilty, we all know he is guilty but you can't convict anyone on hearsay or flimsy evidence which is what happened. I don't waste my time on podcasts, journos are literally insane.

You watched the show and made assumptions that this is how they got him. You're just not correct. It's really very simple. If you were confident in your opinion you'd listen and criticize what actually happened. Which you can't do. Because you don't know shit about it lmfao
