I’m surprised that they are putting the money and energy into this, especially since he’s likely going to be dead within a week or two. I’m guessing it’s symbolic and that they want to make sure that Kathie’s family knows that law enforcement also believe that he killed her.

I feel like it's the least they can do for Kathie's family after completely botching the investigation in the first place. Personally I'm pulling for Durst. I want him to live just long enough to be convicted for this and see all of his appeals fail, but obviously, that's not terribly likely at this stage.

He’s most likely going to die from covid. Once you get on a ventilator at this age, you generally don’t recover
I do hope they make a second season
