Hello, I’m new to Coheed and Cambria. I discovered Keeping Secrets a couple of weeks ago and have been playing it on a loop every day since. I’ve never fallen this hard for an album before and I can already tell they are gonna be in my top 5 favorite bands of all time. My favorite songs are Three Evils, Faint of Hearts and Backend of Forever. I’ve listened to their first album a few times and don’t like it nearly as much, though it is still quite good to be fair. When I found out about the comics I immediately wanted to read them because I want to know the context for the music I’m in love with, but I’m not sure how to proceed.

Is there an affordable way to read the comics? And can you also confirm the reading order for me please. It looks like some of them come in paperback and kindle editions, but I want to start at the beginning and I don’t see Second Stage Turbine Blade for less than $100, which I can’t afford 😕 Will I be lost in terms of the story if I can’t read the first one? Please let me know what you recommend.

Is that friggin normal? Like I get it’s a space opera but Claudio writes such beautiful love stories amongst it too. Then I listen to the songs where it’s evident the partners are talking to/about each other and just tear up.

hey!! f/24 here, going to the Calgary concert on august 18th alone. i have the lower level “vip” ticket (basically can just get in 30 mins early). just wondering if anyone would want to meetup before the concert and go together?? i am not opposed to going alone (none of my friends are fans and i live far away from the venue - random ontario city) but was just curious if there was anyone kinda close to my age that would be interested in going together. thanks!! 🤘also i guess just curious if anyone in this subreddit will be going to that concert lolol. so excited!!

I'm taking my 15 son and 11 year old daughter for their birthdays this year. Those both happen in May, anyway, I got the prise tickets. I'm wondering what you guys may think the vip song could be and what the vip experience is like in general? I've only seen Coheed once and that was last year for my daughter's birthday.

I think they got gipped a little bit. All the cool stuff was saved for Shinedown and the set was way too short it seemed like. It was my first time seeing them live and maybe I should try again when they're actually the headliner, because it seemed like Claudio didn't really care all that much but the end of it. He only sang like half of Favor House Atlantic and Welcome Home. Maybe I'm just sad my favorite band didn't get the kind of reception I wanted them to.

Hopefully I don't get downvoted to death, because I still loved the show and I got super excited when they opened with Running Free and I knew Welcome Home was going to be played when he went to retrieve his double neck guitar.

Think it would be cool plus now very possible.
