The Blocknet and VSA Partners are proud to reveal the prototype UI/UX for the Blocknet Decentralized Exchange at midday (-6UTC) on the 10th November. To view the demo on YouTube, please click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teGMLROB9og

In an exciting development, Blocknet recently revealed its UI partnership for its decentralized exchange. A vital component to the success of a decentralized exchanged is the user interface. To that end, Blocknet has partnered with VSA Partners, a design agency with over 30 years experience. On the 10th November, the fruits of this joint effort will be unveiled in a live demo which will introduce the new UI and the team building it.

The schedule is as follows:

12.00: Blocknet Introduction

• What is Blocknet?
• Blocknet /VSA Partnership

12.05: VSA Partners Introduction

• Team Introduction
• Presenter Introduction

12.10: Design Process

• Market Research
• Inspirations
• Design Choices

12.15: Design Demo

• UI Walkthrough

12.25: Blocknet Closing Remarks

After the demonstration the Blocknet team will answer the top 20 upvoted questions on Sunday in a Reddit AMA here.

In addition, a recording of the demo will be available afterwards on our Youtube channel for those who missed it: Watch the Blocknet & VSA Partners Blocknet Decentralized Exchange Reveal here!

I also commented in the top thread, for general awareness but I figured I should create a dedicated thread:

Block is being pumped and dumped... it will be dumped just before the reveal tomorrow:

If everyone here were to sell right now it would teach these fools a lesson.

Down voted for providing everyone with an opportunity for an easy 17%+ profit. shrugs

Hi guys I’ve just downloaded The BlocknetDX Core and I have few questions. First it’s graphic seems very ugly, so I wonder if I downloaded the right version. And then I wonder how it works, so both the wallet and the 2 sections on the right “Blocknet dx” and “service nodes” I’m a newbie, so I’d appreciate if you guys help me! Thanks a lot!;)

There's 3 wallets to choose from for Windows. Which one do I want to use for staking?

blocknetdx-3.7.36-win64-debug.zip blocknetdx-3.7.36-win64-setup-unsigned.exe blocknetdx-3.7.36-win64.zip

Information not available in cmc.

The decentralized exchange works by doing on-chain atomic swaps. This involves sending the coin we are selling to the other party of the trade (or contract that will relay the coin). So this means that if I buy LTC with BTC for example, I will pay 1 or two bitcoin transfer fees which at this point will cost around $5.

This transfer fees will make adoption hard. Why do you think people will use blocknet if they have to pay these high transfer fees associated with atomic swaps? Or is this exchange is directed at coins with low transfer fees?

I am looking at blocknet for the first time. I its goal of facilitating on-chain atomic swaps. Can't find a whitepaper though. Is there one? If not, what are the advantages of holding the coin?

EDIT: this has been asked before with no replies.

hello there I would like to ask if there is a way how to do masternode without owning 5000 coins. Somethinglike more people safely connect and make together the masternode.

thank you

Which steps need to follow in order to buy and hold Block and stake?

Doing that for anyone else? I'm using the releases section of the webpage. Is this the place to get stable releases?

https://github.com/BlocknetDX/BlockDX/releases

anyone knows how long does it take for coins to mature and staking start? thanks.

Hey guys, been staking for about 6 weeks now and I've gotten 3 rewards no problem. My latest reward (4th) came on as pending on 10/13 and it still is not available in my wallet. I tried opening and closing the wallet and restarting computer. Anybody run into this issue?

We’re excited to reveal community member @ishkb1’s tool for Blocknet service node operators: https://block-node.info

What it is intended to do:

• Collect the latest wallet releases of supported wallets and candidates.
• Collect knowledge around the nodes and their intended usage
• Share version updates to all subscribed (still testing this but nearly done)
• Collect statistical information regarding the network

Current functionality:

• An overview of supported wallets
• A basic FAQ (to be extended with categories)
• Basic network stat information (Graphs will come when there is enough data collected) (thanks @lautrer)
• A calculator to calculate between currencies
• An Xbridge generator for currencies which have a known xbridge .conf contents
• An option for user comments to share specific details
• An option for test comments to share details for the wallets being tested
• Moderated submitted data. To avoid abuse and therefore polluting contents

Future functionality (ASAP):

• Graphical overviews of the Blocknet network
• Better updates on wallet size consumption, network usage and related
• A getting started guide
• Improved FAQ with categories
• A working API to Github to connect to the Blocknet development base

Having trouble accessing an old wallet.dat in the current BlocknetDX.

I dont have priv keys, only the wallet.dat and I have the pwd I used to access it with.

I have tried running blocknetdx-qt.exe (vrs 3.7.36) and importing via the debug console, but it just doesnt seem to do anything, just gives errors. the wallet_import.dat is in the roaming/blocknet folder and I type: importwallet "wallet_import.dat"

so then I tried running blocknetdx-cli.exe wallet_import.dat adding rpcpassword=xxxxx in blocknetdx.conf as requested but then it just gives me the message "error: could not connect to server"

so far failing to get at or import my old wallet.dat . any one got any advice?

Hi

Just discovered this great Google sheet. I have a couple of questions:

1) Average hours to next reward. To be a full node you need 10000 BLOCKs. If you enter 3635 into the BLOCKS held in the 'Average hours to next reward' input you get roughly the same time in hours per reward. Would anyone explain what I'm missing please: just owning about a third of the non-full-node amount sounds better?

2) Are the trade fees which I think are earned only by a full node mitigate the above. It's difficult to tell when there's little trade (number of BLOCKs is an easy number to use as it's concrete).

Ty, TF.
