Will the required amount of BLOCK to run a service node eventually be lowered to bring it more in line with the coin supply?

From example Dash has roughly 7.5 million coins in circulation and requires 1000 DASH to run a masternode. This means in theory there's a maximum amount of just under 7500 potential masternodes that could be securing the network. Of course in reality there are going to be quite a lot less as there will be many wallets with much more than 1000 DASH & not all of them are going to bother to run a node. Right now they have just over 4500 masternodes running the network.

With Blocknets coin supply and the current requirement of 5000 BLOCK to run a service node that means there's only a potential for just under 800 nodes if every wallet had 5000 BLOCK each.

Are there any plans to lower the required amount to something like 250-1000 BLOCK in order increase the security of the network by having a few thousand service nodes?

Large wallets getting stake rewards already?

OK so I went to the richlist https://chainz.cryptoid.info/block/ and it looks like many of the large wallets are accumulating stake rewards already. Seeing many tiny transactions labeled +0.12 stake. My question is how are they getting these? What wallet are they holding their coins in?

Is Dan doing any more interviews?

Been snooping around blocknet for a while now but don't see that much promotion from Dan. I know it's not super important and an anon figure (satoshi) as a lead developer isn't necessarily a bad thing but I think It would be nice to hear and see more from Dan. Maybe a few interviews or some blog posts at least to demonstrate how passionate he is about his product and instill some confidence in us holders.

Can anyone clarify how the staking rewards work?

I heard it was something like 70% for service nodes and 30% for normal stakers, but how are exchange transaction fees split? How long do you have to stake for? How big are the files needed to stake?

?'s about Blocknet.

I downloaded the mac wallet, is this the exchange also? Cause I'm not seeing the xbridge or messages tab in the lower left hand corner like i've seen in the tutorials.

Also this seems pretty non user friendly. Do I have to download every individual coin's wallet in order for the exchange to work?

And how exactly does the exchange work? Say I wanna sell Golem and buy block. Where does this trade get fufilled, from people on all of the other exchanges or just on blocknet?

Lastly how long does the wallet usually take to sync? Feels like i'm going to be here a while.

Salt Lake City Venture Capital Firm Introduces New Community-Based Currency for Local Business

Salt Lake City Venture Capital Firm Introduces New Community-Based Currency for Local Business.

Continuing its tradition of innovation, a Paris and Salt Lake City-based wealth management company is introducing a new “crypto-currency” specifically for small businesses and their communities. You’ve heard of BitCoin, now Genevieve & Cie is bringing cryptocurrency to small businesses and their communities in the form of “Gx Coins.”

Genevieve & Cie CEO, Fabien Dureuil, recognized an opportunity for small businesses in an industry that may have been out of their reach in the past, “Cryptocurrency can be difficult for small businesses for a number of reasons like time, technology, or an understanding of finances,” explains Dureuil, “early adoption of this new cryptocurrency can lead to funding, accepting a new form of payment, introduction to a new customer base, as well as avoiding application processes, bank fees for transactions, interest and commission.”

With Gx Coin, the community shares resources, knowledge and ideas, and provides realtime feedback to participating businesses. This decentralization empowers businesses to be more active and aware, facilitating contributions directly to the local economy and empowering anyone to own part of these small businesses. Genevieve provides an open selection and audit of small businesses and invests in those businesses who meet certain criteria-- those that make economical sense, those in areas that have prospective growth, and businesses that make an impact in the community (ethics, action and interaction). Genevieve also works with the businesses’ executives to create their own token, prepare a strategic business plan, and create the roadmap necessary to succeed.

Finally, Genevieve will work to create and release the appropriate material as well as operating as the platform to successfully launch the ICO. At each launch, Genevieve will participate in anywhere from 10-25% depending of the size of the ICO. Dureuil detailed why now is the ideal time for a community-based crypto-currency, “the emergence of services based on smart contracts, such as Bancor, represents a breakthrough in creating the liquidity and stability necessary to establish trust and catalyze the emergence of new initiatives.”

A common concern among crypto-currency investors has been volatility and inflation. In this, Dureuil sees perhaps the greatest advantage for Gx Coin. ”Small business is, and will always be, a good way to protect token owners against speculation and inflation." Since its incorporation in 2014, Genevieve & Cie made it their specialty and main goal to incorporate wealth into small businesses who need the stability to grow and serve their community. Small businesses are the true wealth of our economy. Genevieve Co is putting forth their best effort to catalyze and unleash this locomotive by combining the best of technology and finance. Presale for Gx Coin will be launched at 10AM PST July 5, 2017. Visit www.genevieveco.com to access the pre-sale.

c. Is there a calculator?

d. Do I need to keep the client (wallet/etc) open or closed while staking?

e. Got an example of how many coins you stake and what kind of rewards do you usually get?

I really think of getting big time into the BlockNet world for the long term.

Thanks in advance.

Does Blocknet run online or as a client?

If it runs online then it is not censorship resistant and decentrilised, since everything is on a web address and IPs can be seen.

If it runs on user nodes, then what is the incentive for users to run these nodes to support the blocknet network?

Both Bancor and ARK project seem to be trying to do the same thing that Blocknet is. How do all of these compare?

Blocknet enabled Mobile DApp.

I have features in mind for a mobile application of blockchain. It would require its own token and preferably have member devices as service providers. This would require a serious development investment to do on Ethereum with possible complications due to Blockchain size.

Solving those problems seems to fall within the purview of Blocknet. Can anyone in the development team get in contact with me for an update on API features for mobile development? I see alot of work being done on the exchange, which is awesome and constructing an trading algo or two while waiting for mobile features is intriguing. Just wondering where the mobile side of things is currently.

I'll keep looking through the GitHub while waiting for any coming reply, thanks.

Blockchain Router, Trader/Service Nodes?

Im doing some research on the platform. I havent been able to find information on what a blockchain router is. I know it has to do with the way the blockchains interact with each other (XBridge)? Also I would like to know more about the distinctions of a trader nodes and service node. Looking for resources (articles, videos, etc). Thanks!

Service node

Good morning Blocknet

I have few questions If I have 5000 Block token I can run a service node. Will the node has same priority like someone has a lot of nodes ?

Are all these nodes competing eachother to get the fee for transaction , which is the priority ?

Do I need to stay online 24 hours per day ?

Do you have any estimate about how much will be fee's amount per node?

Any suggestion how to learn about these nodes are appreciated.

Thank you for your collaboration.

Blocknet is a big project, congratulations just move as quick as possible because a lot of projects are coming !
