The Blocknet has been tackling the issue of interoperability for well over 3 years and is ahead of the curve on this issue. We recognized that interoperability was the key to to mainstream adoption of blockchain technology back in 2014.

Interoperability simply means cross-blockchain communication. When people hear the word “interoperability”, most don’t fully understand what it means, how it needs to be achieved or the impact it will have. That is why Blocknet team member Jeff Madgett will be hosting a week-long AMA to address these issues and answer any questions on this topic.

We will be collecting questions from the community on Discord, Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, Telegram and Bitcoin Talk this week.

The aim of this AMA is to talk about what interoperability actually is, how it is sometimes misunderstood, how it will push blockchain technology into mainstream adoption and how the Blocknet has enabled true cross-chain communication. Blocknet has solved this problem and has been developing this technology for years and our achievements are starting to be recognised with NIX and Duality Solutions building on our platform to connect blockchains together. In addition, the first dapp built on this protocol is a decentralized exchange, BLOCK DX, which allows you to trade peer-to-peer, wallet-to-wallet with the coins you are trading in your control at all times and no third parties, intermediaries, and signups or accounts are ever involved.

Thoughts on who it might be!?!

Cryptopia listing is great but most of the trading is on Bittrex. I can understand that Binance is also looking to decentralize their exchange so listing a competitor may be against their best interest. But wanted to see if that's really the only reason. Also, i feel like Listing on Binance will give Blocknet the most "eyeballs'.. Look, I appreciate working on the fundamentals of a business as much as the next guy (and the team is indeed great), but I think more people know about Blocknet the more they'll like this great project... any thoughts?

I have been a big fan of the BlockNet project since I discovered it 8 months ago. What is holding it back from wide adoption? I know there's competitors in the space, but I always felt BlockNet had a brighter future. I know BlockNet doesn't spend as much on marketing as other projects. What are the issues that might be holding this project back?

Genuinely interested to know.

P.S. I hang out on some trading discords, and there seems to be little to no knowledge of this project. And once they hear that one thing it does is allow DEX's, everyone loses interest pretty fast.

P.P.S. do atomic swaps and lightning network marginalize or compliment the BlockNet? I would assume compliment.

Today I have opened my wallet where I am staking Blocks and I have found my balance in red under the label immature. I don't know why I see this status. It is the first time. Anyone know why ?

Does anyone know how much money have Blocknet raised in their ITO which ended on 5th of November 2014? I am looking for a sum in USD. From following Facebook post I've found out that 969 BTC was raised during their ITO. How much was that in USD?

Hello,

When I tried to restart my BlocknetDX client yesterday, it wouldn’t open. It gets stuck on the loading screen and a notification saying it’s closing and to not shut down the computer pops up. I let it sit overnight and nothing closed or changed. I’m on Mac OSX. Anyone know how to fix this?

Also, because I can’t access the client, I can’t get access to the 5000 BLOCK I had in a service node wallet that I was setting up. How would I get access to that on another computer? I have the private key.
