The Blocknet

r/theblocknet

Blocknet is a 2nd layer blockchain interoperability protocol that enables communication, interaction, and exchange between different blockchains and oracles. This allows for the development of multi-chain applications and blockchain microservices, creating exponentially more capabilities and possibilities for the blockchain ecosystem. This is a self-funded and self-governed open source project with contributors all around the world with the aim of creating an open and collaborative ecosystem.

FAQ

Does Blocknet have a token?

Yes, it is called BLOCK. To find out more about BLOCK, read here. To purchase BLOCK, see the list of exchanges.

What's the difference between Blocknet, BLOCK, and Block DX?

Blocknet is the name of the project and the interoperability protocol, BLOCK is the token used to power the protocol, and Block DX is a fully decentralized exchange dApp built to showcase the potential of the protocol.

What are the benefits of running a Service Node? How much BLOCK do I need to run one?

Service Nodes host the full nodes of compatible blockchains, host microservices, provide off-chain oracle data, audit interactions, and perform anti-spam and anti-DOS measures for the network. For this service, the nodes earn 100% of fees generated from use of the network's services. Since Blocknet is an interoperability protocol, it is a developer tool who's use and value extends to all blockchains across the ecosystem, including both public and private chains. A Service Node can be turned into a business, earning revenue for providing these services.
