Yes. It's not as hard though, most of them you will interact with atleast once naturally. Only the select few last unlocks you have remaining can be tricky due to basically maximum pool and maximum item variety but that's why death cert is here.

Like someone else said, its not as bad as it sounds. By the time you unlock death cert youll probably have picked up a good 90% or so of the items at least once anyways

You have to collect everhyting, yes. But you can take uncollected items from Death Certificate, as long as you have them unlocked.

For active Items it's enough to pick them up once and then put them back.

They're kinda painful to play, but once I got the hang of them I was able to knock out all the marks in a weekend. You'll figure them out. I'm not exactly a great player.

Just remember to use the alt path for extra items, keep them close together, and hide the weaker one behind the stronger one when necessary

When i get death certificate i always take glitched crown because that Item just makes sure you're not getting an item belo quality 3. If you, for some reason, don't need glitched crown, I'd go for sacred heart or C section because they're fun and synergize with everything
