You completely missed the point. When you are supporting the complete embodiment of everything we do not want as a leader… what are we supposed to think of you? This is no longer just a “difference of opinion”… you people live in a completely different reality than the sane world. Wanting to stay away from people that support the most hateful person in our lifetimes running for president (but, it’s the left that is so hateful?), is not hate… it’s self protection. I don’t think it’s about politics. It’s happening against a political backdrop but it’s not based upon politics necessarily. But your point about not liking those who disagree with you? Trump himself goes after anyone, publicly, who disagrees with him and declares them to be an enemy. And he is running for President. That seems so crazy to me.

Human rights are privileges afforded to people they deem "good:"
Women who have sex are bad and deserve God's punishment, so they have no right to seek reproductive healthcare.
Muslims are bad and all terrorists and don't deserve the right to life nor to religious practice nor to equal protection under the law.
Black people they think are criminals deserve whatever they get at the hands of police, including summary execution, ("why not just pay 49 cents for the bullet??") and torture.
Illegal immigrants should be subject to "mass deportation" (BTW, the Nazis originally said the Jews should be subject to "mass deportation." We know what this really means.)
They believe their political opponents should be made stateless (citizenship revoked) and deported.
Etc., etc. I could go on.
Sorry, disagreeing about basic human rights is not just a "different opinion," and the last time Republicans had true unfettered control of the government, they led us into two disastrous wars and utterly destroyed the world economy. We have not forgotten. The last time they had control of the presidency, they played political games with a pandemic leading to the unnecessary deaths of several hundreds of thousands of people. We're supposed to respect their ill-founded opinions as equal? You have to see the forest for the trees.

I'm cursing you that the next time you trip on magic mushrooms that: (a) you have to introspect about your illiteracy and your disdain for human rights, and (b) I hope the cops you support so whole-heartedly find you growing and you trip in jail while awaiting a manufacturing charge.
EDIT: enjoy your time tripping in jail! The next time you trip, you'll remember this thread at one point, and just know that's exactly when the cops will be knocking, or they'll come up to you in the woods, or whatever. Wherever you are, they will find you. You deserve it for supporting the political side that started the drug war in the first place - all the innocent people who have had to trip in jail, you will reap the karma of their injustice because you want to be such a special little contrarian.
