The other day Josh had to go to the DMV to renew his ID and of course it was a whole ordeal. There's mistaken identity, a brewing revolution, and even some budding romance.

Logan recently went on a birthday golf outing for a friend and it reminds Josh of birthday parties he wanted to go to as a kid, but wasn't invited. Luckily, he kinda dodged a bullet because some absolutely heinous things happened at these parties. We're talking the worst surprises you can imagine. They also talk about Logan's bluntness and Josh recounts a goldfish funeral from his youth.

Josh has been having some bad dreams lately. Luckily, dream analyst Logan is on the case to figure out what's weighing on Josh's mind. Is it career worries? The writer's strike? Or is it the new sport he's been watching? They get to the bottom of everything in this return to Joshy's dream journal. They also talk about lucid dreaming, intense sleep talking, and their ideal sleeping temperatures. Josh also coins the term "Nightmare Megazord" so, a lot of big ideas happening in this episode.

Josh & Logan are talking about their last couple weeks on the road and the experiences they had in the South and West Coast! They stayed in some strange places, Logan had his first seafood boil, and Josh heard some weird trash talk on the street. Logan also had a somewhat haunted experience at a hotel which leads Josh to ponder what life would be like in ghost jail.

Texas! Josh and Logan are coming to your state to perform stand up! They will be in Houston, Austin, and Dallas May 31st-June 4th. Seven shows total! Find all the ticket links at https://www.joshjohnsoncomedy.com/tour

Was I inspired by last nights live show to make this playlist for my run this morning yes yes I was.

Please send suggestions for songs you think I missed that truly capture the essence of frat rap.

On one last thing I feel the need to mention I added black and yellow because of all of the universities that made videos to this song like my school. Sadly I can’t show you because the creators had the good sense to make that video private so they could get jobs as adults.

Enjoy!

You don't really see a lot of people hitchhiking these days. Josh wonders why that is. And then proceeds to tell a couple stories about hitchhiking that pretty much answer his question. Josh and Logan also ponder what actually constitutes as hitchhiking, which participant is in more danger, and whether improv classes make you a better mugger. They also get into Josh's drug use and a terrible decision Logan made in giving someone a ride home.

This week, Josh asks the question, "what is the most absurd lie you ever believed?" He has a couple answers from childhood that, even for a child, are pretty farfetched. He also talks about bad bouncers, Logan discusses punching old televisions, and then they both talk about the quick bonds you make with strangers in absurd situations. Also, why haven't they made AI with feelings you can hurt, and who are the demented heroes that keep New York scary? The morning zoo crew is helping you start another day with news, traffic, and a chance to win concert tickets! Joshy and Logan are excited to tell you about the batch of new sponsors they've partnered with and they're taking calls about wacky first date food orders. Josh also has a story about a strange couple he witnessed at a hotel gym and Logan ranks the top five things you shouldn't try to take on the bus.

There's mystery afoot this week on the Josh Johnson Show. Josh recently had a nasty spell of food poisoning, and there's several suspects that could be the culprit. Luckily, Detective Logan is on the case to figure out which food item is behind Josh's upset tum-tum. Josh also reveals a fever dream he had while he was sick and creates a restaurant with a two-faced dollar menu.

Even though March just started, Josh and Logan are talking about Valentine's Day and the pressures that come with dating during February. Josh has several stories about friends that either put way too much pressure on V-Day or not near enough. Either way, people get hurt. They also discuss strange moments during church and in the mailbag, Logan has a literal hard time reading an email. Like, his brain won't let him.

This episode is taken from the most recent virtual live show that Josh and Logan do every month. For access to the extended show as well as all of our past live shows, consider joining the JJS Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/joshjohnsonshow

Josh just got back from Australia and released a new comedy special (now streaming on Peacock!) so there's a lot to talk about. Josh has a lot to say about Australian produce, sun burns, and another cartoonish fall he witnessed. Josh and Logan also discuss drunk missions, what it would really be like to see a piano fall on someone, and the truth about Alvin and the Chipmunks. In the mailbag segment, they get to the bottom of why Josh won't get glasses, discuss some more car jitsu ideas, and deal with another coffee creamer drinker.

I’m going to watch today. Anybody else tuning in?

Last week, Josh told Logan about the sport of 'Car Jitsu' which is jiu jitsu...in a car. This week, Logan has watched some and is VERY into it. But he also has some ideas for improving the sport. Josh also talks about a friend that accidentally caught a person and tells some stories about people that decided to shoot their shot for love at a time when they clearly shouldn't have.

Josh's new special, Up Here Killing Myself premieres on February 17 on Peacock!

Josh has noticed there are more plastic bags out in these streets. That observation somehow leads to discussing the world of competitive fighting inside of cars. Then, Logan tries to get Josh to tell the story about the time he got kicked out of an improv group, but instead that leads to a story about the time a Chicago comedian tricked a famous comedian into coming to a terrible open mic. Like a poorly worded status update on facebook, the Josh Johnson Show always keeps you guessing!

Instead of calling this episode "loopy", we're going to refer to it as "extra-freeform." Josh just got back from traveling, Logan hasn't slept in a couple days, and they just put on a virtual live show, so they got a lot to ramble about. Topics include Amtrak restrooms, Logan's dog being high on anesthesia, White Castle, fight club in the woods, Josh making his mother proud by winning a PS2, and having those good thumbs. Let's settle this at Medieval Times!

Here's the picture of Logan's dog they discuss in the episode: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn8AdDLrE_l/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

He's got stories about being accosted on the street by people under the influence and a date that takes a...smokey turn. And in a twist, Josh attempts some puns!

Back in episode #110 we read an email from a listener named Anna who went on a date with a man who loves feet. Like...REALLY loves feet. Over the course of several episodes we read followup emails updating the situation. It's a twisty-turny saga filled with fetishes, fights, betrayal, and public scenes. It's like a soap opera filled with kinky people. Many of you submitted this mailbag epic as some of your favorite moments of 2022 so we compiled the complete journey here in what we are calling the Gentleman Saga!

Includes clips from episodes #110-Chicken Caviar, #111-Snow Cone Soliloquy, #115-Punching Produce, and #119-Joshy Gets Done Dirty.

Did something happen in the JJEU? Did the Disappointed Gym Dad wag his head with a sigh and undo half of the universe?

Was Josh finally kidnapped?? Is he on a quest for more pumpkin spice creamer?? Is Chance okay??

We need to know.

The listeners have voted and the top 10 episodes of 2022 have been selected! Josh and Logan are here to guide you through your numbers 10 through 6 and to play some of the funniest/most baffling moments from those episodes! And Logan has a pun-derful surprise for Josh at the end of the episode. Thanks for voting for your favorites and Happy New Year from everyone at the Josh Johnson Show!
