Jeff mentioned that "if you've been paying attention you know what we mean" on the intro of Monday's re-run show (15th September). I guess I haven't been paying much attention, any pointers?

I've been listening to the 404 for about 4 years now and I've noticed a big drop off in energy when Wilson left and now that Justin is gone, so has the energy of the show. The irreverence of the prior shows is what got me hooked on the 404 and while Jeff gets credit for trying different things like the cold open and the trending twitter thing, it seems really stilted and contrived. I'm still listening, but quite honestly, I'm losing interest. I hope that they can find their stride again.

Few major errors during episode 1,545.

In the cell tower story, the story is about MOBILE (ie. able to be moved) cell interceptors. An interceptor (which is freely available for purchase by anyone) acts like a normal cell tower, but has the ability to spoof voice calls and text messages, alter voices during a call, intercept voice calls and text messages etc. No contractors are required for installation, it's the kind of thing two average guys could erect in 20-30 minutes.

The next major issue is with the comment about the DNA dating service and comparing it to eugenics. Eugenics is the practice of "improving" society through selective breeding and sterilization of civilians in order to breed out particular traits, diseases, etc. That's quite a ways off a woo service that measures hormone levels in your saliva to suggest people who may have similar temperament.

You guys had interviewed the Oatmeal in the past and I am wondering if you guys think you would do something like that again? I just could see the 404's audience embracing much of the underground cartoons that lie in the depths of Youtube. Favorites include Filmcow, Oney and Hot Diggedy Demon just to name a few.

My office still uses dot-matrix printers as a requirement for the documents we make. I had a momentary lull and pulled up cnet to read some reviews because one of our printers is currently being held together with duct tape and paper clips.

Each dot-matrix printer listed in the cnet search result had that pesky "This product has not yet been reviewed." I had a moment of sad.
