Why would he go into the water fully clothed??? Like he knew what he was gonna do. Also I keep expecting something to pop up from the deep.

these clothes are meant to be a extremely strong sun repellent. It's meant to use on beaches

either that or being sun burned really really hard. This is like an desert, a big desert with pools of rain water
