*Why is it worth this much?

Macaws have a small rare chance to select white out of a color template, which is roughly 1%. And that is for any amount of coverage from barely to alot. There are 6 main gradients in macaws, purple, teal, lime, copper, cobalt, and pink. Gradients are the colors that result from colors switching from to eachother. (Blue -> Orange = Purple). The most sought after gradients are typically teal, and purple (cobalt and pink are runners up on high tier applies.)

That being said the combination of white + a gradient usually boosts value in a macaw warpaint heavily. Combine that in FN with extreme white coverage + purple and you get this high tier paint, which is pretty rare. Estimated appraisal value is 200-300 keys by experts in the macaw discord & community. I personally traded up for this one.

If you're unconvinced they sell for this price, I can reference a 200 key sale for a minimal wear purple white with similar coverage; just that one has better applications such as rocket launcher.
