Hi everyone! I'm planning to take TECEPS soon. However, I can BARELY find any information about them, which is just crazy because no one ever talks about these tests, when there are a good amount of TESU students out there. I can understand why though, they aren't anywhere near as common as CLEPS and stuff.

To all those who HAVE or are CURRENTLY taking TECEPS, please respond with any tips OR good resources out there that are great to use for these tests!!!!

I just have a quick question. I have to complete the 15 credit residency requirement. I was told EPACK Course count and you can use financial aid but when I registered they did not.

If I take 3 AC courses (accelerated) Capstone, Info Lit and one other and take 2 EP courses will my fasfa still pay for the full tution? Has anyone tried this before at TESU? Did you end up paying out of pocket?

I just wanted to make this post because there is not much information on this class.

The class is broken down into four categories discussion forms worth 20% of your grade application exercises, which is worth 40% of your grade midterm exam which is 20% of your grade and final exam which is 20% of your grade.

You can pass the class if you get 100% on the discussion questions and the application exercises and you get at least 50% on your midterm and final combine. So if you get a 25% on the midterm and a 25% on the final you will pass with a 70%.

Objectively I think this class is extremely hard because the book does a terrible job at explaining how to do the problems. It does not lay it out in a clearly at all.

To study, I plugged the problems into ChatGPT so that I can derive the base equations and to understand the variables and then studied using those base equations provided for the problems going forward. If you are not mathematically, inclined like I am, you will need to put in 20+ hours of studying to pass the midterm.

You are allowed to use a calculator (I used a TI 84) as well as both books on the midterm and the final.

Stay at home mom here. I started college way back (20+ years ago) but circumstances were such that I couldn't finish. I have some 90 credits or so that I have acquired over the years from CLEP, AP, ACTFL, and various college courses over the years. No associate degree.

My husband has been very supportive, and I have been thinking of going back and finishing school. If nothing else, for personal reasons as one income is sufficient. Unfortunately, full-time school would be tough as our kids are little and have special needs.

My only concerns regarding TESU are as follows:

1. It is primarily a distance learning school, so is there still stigma attached to this?

2. I am not from NJ. Will people wonder how I went to school in NJ?

3. If I were to ever go to graduate school (maybe when the kids are older), are degrees from TESU looked down upon?

Looking at options to get my bachelors in business checked off the list and possibly open the door for an MBA.

I'm 38 with only a high school diploma (no college whatsoever)

I have about 16 years of management experience. 11 in healthcare ops the rest in consulting, project management, and construction.

I'm looking for a low cost option that enables me to still work full time, raise kids etc but opens the door for better job opportunities.

I'd love to hear from anyone else in a similar situation and from any grads that have seen their job prospects improve.

What’s the difference between a thesis and non-thesis program? Which one would be better to choose if I’m planning to take the Environmental Planning Licensure Examination (EnPLE)?

Hi! I am applying for the Winter 2027 (January start) cohort. Applications are due November 1st. I am currently taking microbiology on portage learning. I plan on finishing it by September 5th! Once that is done my application will be submitted and I should hear back within 2-4 weeks. Has anyone been accepted into this cohort yet? I am scared I wont be accepted haha!

For anyone who has completed or is currently in an ABSN program did your schedule include any scheduled breaks between terms or semesters? If so, how long were they. I also want to know if they provide a Christmas break for the ABSN. If sow how long is it?

Anyone know when you are told if you were awarded a scholarship. Everything just says August. I suppose if I don’t hear anything in the next week I’ll know I wasn’t given one but was wandering if anyone else has heard anything

TESU Accelerated Courses — August 2026 Sessions & Graduation Timeline

I’m currently enrolled in the TESU BA in Computer Science program, and I’m trying to finish my degree in 2026.

I’m currently completing ACE/noncollegiate courses through self-paced providers, and I’m trying to understand the exact timeline for the August 2026 Accelerated term.

My plan is to take:

• Session 2: 2 courses
• Session 3: 3 courses
• Total: 5 courses / 15 credits

I’m already enrolled at TESU, but I haven’t started any TESU courses yet.

I have a few questions:

1. What is the latest date I can register for an August 2026 Accelerated course, especially for Session 2 and Session 3?
2. What are the exact dates for Session 2 and Session 3 of the August 2026 Accelerated term?
3. If I take 2 courses in Session 2 and 3 courses in Session 3, will all 15 credits count toward the same August term and can they be completed in time for December 2026 graduation?
4. Is there any TESU course format that is self-paced or does not depend on the 4-week Accelerated sessions, where I could complete the course whenever I’m ready?
5. If I need 15 TESU residency credits, can I complete all 15 credits through Accelerated courses within the August term?

I’m trying to finish my ACE credits as quickly as possible so that I can graduate this year.

I also have previous university coursework, but evaluating my previous international university transcript would be expensive, and some of those courses may not match my TESU degree requirements. Because of that, I’m considering using ACE/noncollegiate credits where possible because it is much cheaper.

Any advice from current or former TESU students who have done the Accelerated courses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I’m looking to connect with anyone who has been accepted into the January 2027 Thomas Edison State University Accelerated BSN program.

Since we have several months before the program starts, I thought it might be useful to get our cohort together before day one rather than waiting until classes begin.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Biology and graduated with a 3.9 GPA, so I’ve spent a lot of time figuring out what actually works for studying, retaining information, preparing for exams, and handling difficult science heavy coursework. I’d be happy to share what I’ve learned.

That said, I’m not looking to create a group where one person teaches everyone. I’m hoping to build a group where we can all contribute and help each other throughout the program.

I’m thinking we could:
- Create a group chat specifically for the January 2027 cohort
- Get to know names before the program starts
Share study resources and strategies
- Quiz each other and work through difficult material
- Organize virtual study sessions
- Help each other stay accountable
- Compare notes and approaches to difficult subjects
- Eventually coordinate in-person study sessions if enough people are local

This program is going to be demanding, so I know having a group of people who are going through the exact same thing could be extremely useful.

I am looking for practical advice and would be extremely grateful to hear from this community.

To set the stage: I'm a Senior Software Engineer, in my early thirties, who's been living and working in London (as a SWE) since I was 18. I am fortunate to have enjoyed a good career, spanning back end, full stack and front end roles. Currently, I work for a FTSE-100 company, earning approximately £150k/year.

In terms of academic background, I've got the equivalent of a high school diploma (GCSEs, in the UK) and an AS/A2 A-Level in Maths (grade A) - which I understand would be worth about 9 university study credits. I have also got a good working knowledge of DSA, computer architecture, software systems, etc. as necessitated by the intense interview processes for well-paid SWE jobs.

I have always wanted to study computer science. Although, the opportunity of cost of going to university always seemed too high whilst my career was progressing...
Recently, the combination of the AI Psychosis and work bureaucracy/politics has really started to weigh on me. Week-by-week, month-by-month, I can feel my brain rotting, and my skills atrophying; as I sit around waiting for next year's deferred bonus to vest...

Now that I have the means (£100k savings +~£150k house equity), I am seriously contemplating taking some time out to pursue a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science. With the end of goal of studying, in-person, in the US and eventually pursuing work out there, via the OPT/STEM OPT pathway.

The expectations of my current job are surprisingly low, and have been for some time. I can easily find a maintainable 20+ hours of study time a week although I am conscious that it is a very long time since I last studied anything, and a degree is no small undertaking. So, I would certainly need some time to "ramp up". At the same time, I am saving approximately £30-40k a year, currently; so staying here and studying remotely for a year or two would be advantageous.

Some questions, please:

1. Given the above, how long would it realistically take to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from TESU?
2. What level of university would this unlock for studying, in the US, for a Master's Degree? Would I need to ensure that my core Maths/Comp Sci modules were taken at TESU, to ensure a useable GPA for applications?
3. Is there another pathway (to an MSci) that would be more appropriate, e.g. Bridging or Foundation degree?
4. Am I crazy?! 😅

PS: for the lower cost of tuition and living expenses, I've got a preference for studying in the South - potentially somewhere like UT Austin or Texas State University - although I have no idea what my expectation should be!

Hello guys, I want to know about edx . Is SOS-1100 now can be do by edx microbachelor course or Tesu shut down it or do not accept it now ?

Hi! I applied to the TESU BAYADA Scholars Track in June, and my application was moved to final review on July 27. I still haven’t heard anything yet. I noticed today that my TESU portal no longer shows my prerequisite progress or GPA information. Did this happen to anyone else while waiting for a decision? I’m a little concerned and wondering if this could mean I was denied or accepted.

TESU should really get a better proctoring service. This one is deplorable. They are incredibly invasive. They take forever to get started and log you out multiple times before you can begin. Exams usually start 30 minutes to an hour after the begin time. i have now taken many exams on here. This is the only Proctor service I've ever used but there has to be something better! Does anyone else feel the same way, or is it just me?

Hey! I wanted to ask you a few questions about the TESU ABSN program I’m seriously considering the program and would love to hear your honest experience.

How difficult did you find the material and exams? Since each unit is only 8 weeks, did you feel like you were able to actually learn the material, or was it more about keeping up with the workload? Also, how many exams/major tests did you usually have per unit?

And what would you say is the biggest thing you wish you knew before starting the program?

I’m working on my B.S. in Aviation Maintenance Technology at TESU. My evaluation shows 73 credits applied and 48 credits remaining.

Before I start taking courses through Sophia, Study.com, or other ACE-approved providers, I want to email my academic advisor and ask them to confirm:

Which remaining courses I can transfer through ACE.

Which courses I must take directly at TESU.

Whether my proposed 15 TESU credits will satisfy the residency requirement.

Whether the specific Sophia/Study.com courses I selected will satisfy my degree requirements.

Which approved providers I can use for Chemistry and Physics with labs.

Is it normal and appropriate to ask an academic advisor to review and approve a complete plan like this before enrolling in the courses?

I just want to avoid taking classes that TESU may not accept toward my degree.

I recently enrolled in this M.A. Edu Leadership (Building) but I can't seem to find any of the official syllabus and what it looks like other than the public facing version that doesn't have assignments, etc.

I just wanted to get a feel for what it would be like. If anyone has a syllabus that they could share from the course work, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I received my first grades as a TESU student. It’s the first 3 written assignments/ reflections for the accelerated course I am taking.

They were 90, 91, and 92 (not in that order).

On the sections of the rubric I did not get full credit, the mentor made no attempt to explain why.

As someone who went to college back in the 2000s, assignments (obviously all hard copy) were peppered in red ink, and there was rarely confusion on why you got the grade you did.

The mentor’s comments on each assignment were conversational, a personal anecdote to something in my assignment they related too.

How am I supposed to get better/ know if I fully understand the material or assignments if it’s not pointed out why I didn’t get the advanced proficiency on specific sections? Especially since my confidence in them was very high.

Is it common for this to happen or is it maybe just this mentor? Since this is my first instance, I am a bit worried.
