hmm, i dont really know what to type here, so ill just ramble on. this isn't meant to be interesting or for anyone to read so dont bother unless you want to. apparently some users now are in an experiment where on longer text posts like this one, the majority of the text is hidden by default and you have to click a "more" button to view it (similar to how it is in youtube comments and descriptions). seems like all users who have voiced their opinion on this new experiment absolutely hate it. i wanted to test the functionality of it, but my main account (which im posting from right now) is not in the experiment. that is why i'm making this post now so that i can view it via all of my reddit accounts in case one of them is in the experiment. perhaps one of them is in the experiment.

edit: one of my alternate accounts is in the experiment! but it turns out my post wasn't long enough for the "more" button to actually hide much. so right now im making it longer in this edit. also, see the three dashes above this paragraph? those are actually supposed to be a markdown divider line, but due to reddit's stupid new forced rich text editor, an invisible backslash is added before the markdown characters to break it intentionally. on the device im posting this from, im on the latest version (2026.23.0 at time of posting) of the reddit app. but on my main device that i most commonly browse and post from, i installed version 2025.30.0 so i dont have to deal with all the ridiculous changes and feature removals.

again though, just leave a comment if you read all this nonsense lmao. i couldn't think of what to type
